That is what I thought. Who can do this live? Not too many. Phenomenal. I loved these guys when I was 12 and older (1964...) because my older brother was really into them.
I took my grandmother to see The Righteous Brothers in concert and the show was amazing. Then like a week later Bobby Hatfield died. I was very sad, but also happy that I was able to see them live before he passed.
Selbst Bill wusste all die Jahre nichts davon.😢
I was there in the 1960s. I wish you could have been there in that time to here live music coming from all these great singers. Like the Righteous brothers, Diana Ross, all the singers under phill Spector and so many more. And they all did it live because prerecorded shows just did not exist then. You had to be really good to catch a mistake of any kind.
Elvis had the stage presence to pretty much nail cover songs, but Bobby Hatfield owned this. Even without associating the song with the movie Ghost, Hatfield’s interpretation is a smooth sonic attack that yanks the heartstrings. Damn near impossible to do with autotune today

Even if it’s not true ( i’m not sure ) but it’s a good story anyway ,& could be true .
I remember watching this on TV. This was from an Andy Williams special. There's a fuller version where Andy talks to Bill and Bobby. They were joking around and Bobby takes the mic and starts singing this song. Pure magic.

Bobby Hatfield was my cousin, his mom was in the audience that night, his voice is out of this world..RIP COUSIN.YOU ARE MISSED
Dein Cousin.....
WOW😮
This voice makes chills goes up and down up and down my spine, the most amazing version ever! He DID kill it.
I got the chills too. Wow.
My chill bumps peaked every time he hit a long, high note -he was and will remain at head of the class on this song.
Brother's got SOUL. Hittin' NOTES most won't DARE live.
That is what I thought. Who can do this live? Not too many. Phenomenal. I loved these guys when I was 12 and older (1964...) because my older brother was really into them.
Indeed! We are so very lucky to listen to Bobby Hatfield singing this beautiful song with his magnificently beautiful voice!
Didn't consider this is live. What ability to even consider doing it live, especially the end

Yes, it was on the Andy Williams show!
I took my grandmother to see The Righteous Brothers in concert and the show was amazing. Then like a week later Bobby Hatfield died. I was very sad, but also happy that I was able to see them live before he passed.
Kokainvergiftung führte ja zu Bobbys
Herzinfarkt.
All due respect to the king. No sir! The brothers nailed it.
Yea, I know it's a solo, I watched this when it originally aired. And even when it's only one performing he's still a righteous brother.
Elvis had the stage presence to pretty much nail cover songs, but Bobby Hatfield owned this. Even without associating the song with the movie Ghost, Hatfield’s interpretation is a smooth sonic attack that yanks the heartstrings. Damn near impossible to do with autotune today
Bobby's got that little "sh*t-eatin" grin on his face when he finished, knowing he nailed it! ...absolute perfection
Bites his bottom lip. Loved it!
His momma was front row...

lori,
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Gott, liebe es auch so.😊😊😊
Nah, you're right. The Righteous Brothers own this song in my opinion.
Thank you!Elvis was good, but Bobby killed this,...no question. The man had an incredibly smooth voice.

“Entirely agreed. I am the one born in 1988 who always listen to this clip for more than 4 years. To me he isn’t just a crooner which drawed attention of innocent public in his era.
A timeless god of blue-eyed soul he would be only by this sole song.
The number of watchers after just a week is more than several ten thousands and it demonstrates the general feeling this version brings to us.
One more song I cherished is The White Cliffs of Dover which originally was sung by female singer Vera Lynn. To watchers here I wanna recommend and share the sensation I got the moment I got to know that song too.”
- From a shitless slave region of humanism being suffered under hoon-tribe-originated-parasitism and kiki'she' collectivism which is known as the name 'Korea', whose dwellers always steals and begs from Japan's original history which clearly inherited sincere humanity in Ancient Cudara more than its 'original' dwellers in hometown.

Elvis was near death. So it's not a fair comparison.
Now imagine if elvis had cut this in 1965? When elvis was in complete command of his falsetto and the complete power of his vocal register.
Brad rawsner behave, bobby owns this song , elvis was eating fat burgers and marring little girls....
Only song Elvis done that someone was better. This has nothing to do with Bill Medley this is 100% Bobby Hattfield.
This is and was always Bobby's song he killed it yes and what a talent to do it with wish I was back there great music my grandparents were cool lol
I’m a HUGE ELVIS fan also! However I have to agree that this Righteous brother sang this song BETTER!!! Sorry Elvis
You're a fair person. And going by your username, you got great taste in music.
Don't think Elvis cares at this point.
When they first came out they sang with such pure heart and soul some people said they were black ! But, This is Bobbie Hatfield of the two and he his white with blue eyes. Bill Medley in a duet sings the deeper sounds. What I have to say is no matter what color you are, your skin, your eyes and hair; if you have "it" ! You have "it" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They both had beautiful voices and I was a teenager in the 60s when I first heard them on AM radio - they blew me away with the melodies and beautiful voices and still do today !!
Tan was from the home state of California (think surfers). He was the class president at Anaheim High School...my sister was his class mate. He was an extremely nice guy.
You're right. Bobby nailed it. That high note and the ending notes were amazing. Sends shivers down your spine.
Ive been watching your reactions all day you seem like a nice guy. You are a great role model for young men.
Thank you for that!
I only discovered the Modern Renassaiance Man today and I've watched through several videos now. I agree, very warm and friendly guy. Good channel.
Jeff Flaig Yes Ty is a great role model & he seems so genuine too. I think he would be a fun guy to drink a beer with and listen to music with
His name was Bobby Hatfield, he has passed, and he could sing rings around Elvis Presley. The other half of the Righteous Brothers was Bill Medley. They were amazing together..
Went to Medleys show in Branson. It was great
No..he should be in a time capsule but Elvis had a magical voice and presence..still haven't observed anyone sing rings around the king but hats off to Hatfield..wish he hadn't ruined his gift with tobacco because he was a genius..
The entertainment world don’t judge as we do, those with pure talent never showed jealousy, they embraced one another! All praised Bobby Hatfield on this one!!
They both did a great job, singing this song .How can you even compare .both are very good
I am a huge Elvis Presley fan! But nobody did this song better than the RB! Awesome vocals!
Marty Robbins did a great version, also...
Thank you for posting this. I love this song when Bobby Hatfield sang it. There will never be another.
Blue-eyed soul. That's what the Righteous Brothers are known for.
Not sure if this is true but , I heard that the way the righteous brothers got their name was , while they were singing a song , someone in the audience jumped up and said , wow , that’s righteous Brothers ,& that’s how they got that name . Even if it’s not true ( i’m not sure ) but it’s a good story anyway ,& could be true .
@@lenanoro5427 I heard that too!
@@lenanoro5427 Not sure if that's true?
No , but it does sound plausible .
I remember watching this on TV. This was from an Andy Williams special. There's a fuller version where Andy talks to Bill and Bobby. They were joking around and Bobby takes the mic and starts singing this song. Pure magic.
ur right dude.this was bobbys song. and he KILLED it.i was a kid when I heard this. this is the original version. 1964 or 65. the righteous brothers!
Ya'll did not tell me Ken from Barbie could sing 😂😂😂 The one who sang this was Bobby Hartfield. And NO ONE could ever come close the perfection of his rendition. Most people think the Righteous Brothers were actually brothers but they weren't but they sure made quite the duo ❤️
Thank You for being you , appreciate you enthusiasm, Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley were the singers behind The Righteous Brothers, you just saw Bobby Hatfield , Big Hugs from the UK
I totally agree with you! He killed it!
I love at the very end, when he bit his lower lip, kind of shy like, because he knew he NAILED it ❤️👏🏼❤️❤️
Sam Cook did a good job
And LeAnn Rimes she sang it good
But this is Bobbys song
In my opinion no one can sing this song better. This is the master and all others are only copies.
This is his song!
I Agree with Ty. Nobody could touch Bobby Hatfield on this song. I am probably Elvis Presley’s biggest fan but once in a while he hit a ground ball. I am a Patreon and wish Ty the “renaissance man” all the best. America cannot fail as long as we have men like Ty.
Be a Patreon on PayPal really easy. We need to support him.
Nobody ever has nor ever will sing this better than the Righteous Brothers❤
Autocorrect got me
Totally agree! Great respect for Elvis, but this is far and away greater than his version.
Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers singing here had one of the greatest falsetto voices in Rock & Roll history. It was too bad he died too soon. As much as I love Elvis...Bobby Hatfield owns this song, and has a falsetto voice that is to die for. Peace!
The emotion Bobby pulls from my soul each time i hear him belt out this classic, has never ceased the tears from slowly traveling down my cheeks... Godspeed Bobby & Thank you
"Ken from Barbie"
As I wipe coffee off of my desk top screen.
It was worth it.
Thanks!
Bobbie had that smoooth look..., and sound..
I know...🤣🤣🤣 same!!
Lmao girl same!!
You're right, brother. No one could perform this song like Bobby. No one!
God gifted that man with a set of vocals, thank God he didn't keep it to himself!!
Enjoy your commentaries - you have a great presence. Peace.
