I think the band is named after an air base. On August 28, 1988, there was an accident at Rammstein air base during an air show when three Italian planes collided over the ground and fell. One of the planes crashed close to the crowd and continued burning into the crowd. In addition to three pilots, 67 people died, while about 1,000 people were injured in the accident.
Rammstein is unquestionably the greatest rock show on Planet Earth. I have a recommendation that I have also seen in other comments from all the Rammstein videos and that is the song "Mein Teil" BUT YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT LIVE. I saw them in Dallas that same summer of 2017. They were just awesome live, we were out on the grass and not by the seats and you could still feel the heat of the flames
If you get a chance, check out their performance of their song Rammstein at 1996 bizarre festival, where Til stands there in flames. It’s haunting (and nostalgic to see them so young and at the beginning of their super stardom)

I was supposed to see them last month in Minneapolis but it was postponed due to Covid. So now I'm seeing them in Sept of 2021. I cant wait! I've been a fan since about 1996 and im finally going to get to see them.
My first live show was the "Mutter" album. I was 16-17 in the front row and when the first flame went off and I felt the insane heat, it just blew my mind. I could not believe it was real! Finally more Rammstein. It's cool that you chose this song since it's the 1. Track from their 1. Album that has its 25th anniversary this friday. It would be great if you could react to the Herzeleid/Seemann Live Video from their channel.
Rammstein pyrotechnics trivia: Till Lindemann is shy and self conscious so he started using pyrotechnics to draw attention away from him on stage. The pyrotech got so elaborate he got certified and does the shows himself.
my friends and i saw them in toronto at the air canada center in 2011, our seats were in the the very last row of the upper bowl and we could feel the heat from pyro lol
Nice review! The first time I saw Rammstein live was in Helsinki, Finland, in 2001, at the Jäähalli (Ice Rink) hockey arena. I was somewhere in the back and I felt the heat. Amazing! After that I've seen Rammstein live three more times. Great band. 🤘
If you translate the entire song it's about a man/woman, seeing their partner cheating, taking them out, licking the blood from the dagger, and lightning the bed on fire. "Sex isn't eine schlacht, Libe is krieg" translates roughly to "sex is slaughter, love is war", sorry German speakers if I butchered any of that. I am still learning.
@@dnocturn84 1. I did say sorry to any German speakers if I butchered it. 2. I did say that was still learning the language. Thanks for the clarification anyways

I have to suggest some of the better clean vocalists in metal, for example, Blind Guardian - Valhalla or The Bards Song live at Waken Powerwolf - Amata Strigoi Helloween - Halloween Though if you want the heavier side Shadow of Intent - The Heretic Prevails Total Consumption - Spread or Dead (nutella based band) Infant Annihillator - Blasphimian If you want more foreign metal (not in english) Maximum the Hormone - What's up people (Japanese band) Oomph - Labyrinth (german band) Korpiklaani - Man with a Plan If you want some classics that defined genres Venom - Black metal Kreator - Satan is real Iron Maiden - Hallowed by thy name And last but not least, if you want something a bit more lighthearted and not taking it's self to seriously, with fun music videos Alestorm - Mexico or Fu*ked with an Anchor (pirate metal) Nekrogoblikon - No One Survives, We need a Gimmick or Dressed as Goblins (goblin-core) Gloryhammer - 1992 Rise of the chaos wizards (fantasy space metal) I hope this list will help you going forward, stay metal ladies :)
Wish I would've seen them 10 years ago when they came to Baltimore. I was a new mom and it started at 11pm on a work night. Now I regret it, they dont always tour the US anymore.

Sex is a battle
Love is war
Sex is a battle, yes
Love is war
Sex is a battle
Love is war
Sex is a battle, yes
Love is war
[Verse 3]
Do you want to see the bed in flames
Do you want to perish with skin and hair
You too, want to stick the dagger in the sheet
You too, want to lick the blood from the sword
[Chorus]
Rammstein!
Rammstein!
Rammstein!
Rammstein!
[Outro]
Rammstein! Rammstein! Rammstein!
Rammstein! Rammstein! Rammstein!
Rammstein! Rammstein! Rammstein!
Rammstein! Rammstein! Rammstein!
Rammstein! Rammstein! Rammstein!
If you like Till Lindemann you should listen to his Solo Album besides Rammstein. the whole Album is english and called Till Lindemann - Skills in Pills (Song and Album)
Im not sure if they would resist watching the videclips 😂
Or 'Knebel'! Such a masterpiece 👌🏼
Been looking forward to this one and you ladies did not disappoint! And you never do, love these 😂
You ladies have to watch their full concert DVD's! If you get the Madison Square Garden DVD, it has their 2 hour documentary in it!
I love your videos! I am so glad I stumbled upon your channel and instantly fell in love with your personalities! ❤🤘
When I had an answering machine this song was playing in the background as I was telling people to leave a message.
Hi Ladies, if you wanna see pyros you should check out Rammstein's 'Benzin' live from MSG...have fun
YES!!
Greetings from Paris 🇫🇷 thanks a lot for this wunderbar reaction 🤘🤘🤘
my friends and i saw them in toronto at the air canada center in 2011, our seats were in the the very last row of the upper bowl and we could feel the heat from pyro lol
I love them, I like each reaction video very much, congratulations.
My regards from Chile.
Love you Ladies. Been on the Granny Squad from the beginning. Keep it goin, ya?
Nice review! The first time I saw Rammstein live was in Helsinki, Finland, in 2001, at the Jäähalli (Ice Rink) hockey arena. I was somewhere in the back and I felt the heat. Amazing! After that I've seen Rammstein live three more times. Great band. 🤘
Hugs to my Grannies for the Rammstein...I'd love yall to be with nxt Year in San Antonio....Much love
this is my breakup song,it translates as "would you like to see the bed in flames?"
The Rammstein reactions are the best. You grannies have good taste.
This band is epic.
@@midnightqueen3332 "Sex ist eine Schlacht, Liebe ist Krieg". It's more like: "Sex is a battle, love is war".
@@dnocturn84
1. I did say sorry to any German speakers if I butchered it.
2. I did say that was still learning the language.
Thanks for the clarification anyways
@@midnightqueen3332 Hey, this wasn't meant to offend you in any way... Sorry, if it ended up offending you! It was actually meant to help you learning German, so I didn't drag on it too much, at least I thought I would.
Just binged all their rammstein/lindemann reactions. Absolutely love these 2. Rock on
I was also at the Chicago 2017 show. It was hot and loud
I love how they were simping for Till and Schneider
I have to suggest some of the better clean vocalists in metal, for example,
Blind Guardian - Valhalla or The Bards Song live at Waken
Powerwolf - Amata Strigoi
Helloween - Halloween
Though if you want the heavier side
Shadow of Intent - The Heretic Prevails
Total Consumption - Spread or Dead (nutella based band)
Infant Annihillator - Blasphimian
If you want more foreign metal (not in english)
Maximum the Hormone - What's up people (Japanese band)
Oomph - Labyrinth (german band)
Korpiklaani - Man with a Plan
If you want some classics that defined genres
Venom - Black metal
Kreator - Satan is real
Iron Maiden - Hallowed by thy name
And last but not least, if you want something a bit more lighthearted and not taking it's self to seriously, with fun music videos
Alestorm - Mexico or Fu*ked with an Anchor (pirate metal)
Nekrogoblikon - No One Survives, We need a Gimmick or Dressed as Goblins (goblin-core)
Gloryhammer - 1992 Rise of the chaos wizards (fantasy space metal)
I hope this list will help you going forward, stay metal ladies :)
Ahhh the classics i love em
Oomph is such a grest band, but sadly very unknown in germany :(
I don't know if you know this but the lead singer was an Olympic swimmer at the 1980 games.
I literaly chocked from ,y drink when you said your grandson top 3 bands are rammestein, slipnot and tool because there my 3 favorites as well.
A friend of mine was on a concert once in the third row. He told me, he hadn't had eyebrows after the show
Rammstein - Mutter, from that Paris concert is awesome.
Wish I would've seen them 10 years ago when they came to Baltimore. I was a new mom and it started at 11pm on a work night. Now I regret it, they dont always tour the US anymore.
The title of the song in English can be translated as Do You Want to See the Bed in Flames?
