I can't imagine what it cost for these folks to put this together and run it, but it's an amazing idea. THIS is what the "Metaverse" (really, we have to find another name for it, thanks to Zuck) has the potential to be like, in its more fun and exciting forms.
The idea that this could someday become common is what really excites me as we all wade through the more "boring" and "dry" periods that VR has, until recently, been going through.

Thats terrifying! I've only been in VR once when I was riding a boat and that felt so cool but imagine someone never being in VR before doing this!😁

Does this simulate hitting the mountain if you make a mistake? Or maybe it auto-corrects and takes over the controls.
I live in Utah and just looked more into this place. Looks awesome but its $120! Can't justify spending that much on such a short experience especially when I could actually go skydiving for not much more.
Skydiving would be closer to twice as much for a jump that lasts this long. Then there's the fact that in a very real way.....skydiving freefall does feel somewhat like a simulation. You don't actually feel like you are falling...you are so high at first there is ZERO groundrush like you'd get jumping off a cliff into water. Lastly, you might be able to do a fairly modest cost basic sky dive tandem jump....but you'd spend thousands trying to get to the point of a proximity wingsuit flight.
How many times did you get recognized state side?
I get recognized more in the states than I do at home. It's always awesome to meet VR people []-)

Wow! An amazing experience bringing together all kinds of technological solutions. When the Vanishing of Ethan carter was released on VR I just had to buy it again as that’s made using photogrammetry as well. I wasn’t disappointed and was amazed how real it looked. I can only imagine that your brain was probably completely fooled into thinking it was flying, what with the wind, suit and being suspended. I’ve always wanted to try proximity flying with a wingsuit but didn’t want to kill myself.
Haha yeah, there's no way I'd do a real base jump! This almost gave me a heart attack and it isn't real! []-)

I pretty much always regret watching these advanced and insanely immersive VR videos afterwards, because all I feel now is extreme jealousy and sadness that I'll almost certainly never get to experience that... 😭
seems like a real opportunity for a military training experience for new soldiers would be here. instead of wingsuit, just a parachute experience. Land at the target location. land at night. land under fire. Seems like these guys could make a lot more money than a LBE. Amazing this is where we are at with the tech so far.

I want to start a business giving customers multiple VR experiences (flight combat, racing, THIS!!) that are as close to real as they can be. l have lots of cash to buy equipment with, and I live on an acreage right outside of town along a failry busy secondary highway (29,000 vehicles drive by us every day) and have a huge shop I could easily turn in to a VR arcade. I've subscribed to your channel and have started going through your play list. Any gaming suggestions to bring affordable, real life experiences like this to those who might not otherwise ever be able to afford them?

Hell yeah, I've always wanted to fly in a wingsuit, having kids and raising them put that on hold,
now I'm 65 and figure it's to late to let my adrenalin flow with deadly consequences, but this, HELL YEAH

Can I ask a stupid ? If you guys can simulate wingsuit descending free fall flying what's stopping you guys from simulatiing ascending wingsuit flying ? in other words why not make it seem like yur actually flying up n down you know jus curious

The Void was awesome and it's what brought me into VR, so I have no doubt that JUMP is a hell of an experience. I thought The Void went through bankruptcy, but hopefully you're right and they'll be able to come back someday.

How do the actual Wingsuiters rate it? Just curious. Are they using it for any reason like as a sim to preview lines or something? I’m a tandem instructor who did a Wingsuit course a while back and just didn’t stick with it but I think skydiving and VR are def prime for crossovers like this. Seems super fun. I want to try it.
I haven't done "The Jump" yet , however I'm a novice wingsuiter (50 jumps) and from what I can gather it's pretty well done. The fact they actually use air to inflate the suit like it does in flight is super clever.
Obviously the controls don't quite match (see how he bends his arms downwards to turn) and there's some funny stuff (air blowing in your face when the ramp opens backwards on a plane?) so I don't see this being used to preview lines, but for a non-skydiver this is about as close as it gets to ever doing a wingsuit jump, let alone wingsuit base.
