Top trump triple
Triumph’s just released its ludicrous Speed Triple 1200RS, and we think its awesome. But we also rate the 1050RS that preceded it and has become even more affordable than ever. If you’re in the market for a used naked, make sure to check out our comprehensive used buyer’s guide on this epic model.

1/4 mile and experienced drag racer would have made this a better test for me
Yeah or deduct the 60ft time from the 1/8 trap time. Then you can see which bike packs the most punch when it gets moving. 80% of a 1/4 mile time is based on the first 60ft.
I agree,pointless distance for a superbike.
Yeah I think the MPH should have decided this race or at least been included in the stats just because it shows the true potential of the bike regardless of its launch. Otherwise I enjoyed the video and good on Ducati, it’s the most beautiful bike of the lot and according to this race also the fastest.
Sign of the times that this is a test of electronics and their level of intervention rather than pure performance and rider skill.
Should have found a 1/4 mile track. These bikes are way more top end power.
10000% even a half mile. With checks at 0-60/ 62 mph, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile and the half mile.
It would’ve changed the outcome dramatically.
I was hoping for that too, and in that case my money would’ve been on that BMW.
@@xavierbell4541 these bikes take an 1/8 th just to get them under control and tuck in
I ride a near stock GSXR on track and still think it's one of the best VFM new 1000s
its not ONE of the best VFM, it is THE BEST VFM
VFM?
@@homersimpson2963 Value for money mate
I’m surprised with the Aprilia!! My 21 launches well during the start in launch mode 1.. Maybe with more time you would have nailed it… Awesome video my friends 😎
I just discovered you guys. I've been missing out! Keep them coming!
Awesome vid! Can't wait for the dyno runs!
Few surprises there!! Go the gsxr!
I don't think the ZX10R engine is anything like the grunty GSXR.
This track was too short for these bikes. Need at least quarte mile, but 1000m would be the best
Good thing I didn't comment early ! I was typing where's The DUCATI ! PLEASE, 1/4 mile track and Naked bikes next. GREAT video !
My wife gifted me a subscription on FB for my birthday recently - great gift! Took me back to the 90s.
Hard to believe you guys struggled to get into the 6's. You guys need more straight line track time..lol. Maybe get out to some top speed events while you're at it.
Good job lads 👍🏻
Love the video
The 'gutless' zx10r 2nd quickest, who would of thought 🤷♂️, anyone who owns or has owned a zx10r wouldnt of been surprised
Amazing!
I bought the magazine last week, I won’t tell the public any secrets.. Great job on the article… Onto the Dyno where my Aprilia has a chance 😎💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Aprilia is love 🔥🔥
Stats are stats......no such thing as "on paper"
I dont feel so bad with my time of a 6.6 on a near 15 year old r1 mostly stock (qs and chain sprocket)
I can smell the burning clutches from here.
Bang for buck the gixxer will always reign supreme....all those bikes except the gixxer are in the 400k region well except the Dak, that's like 700k
so, the heaviest bike of the bunch came second to the lightest bike of the bunch. gj Kawi
Go watch Chris Moore vs Ricky Garson battle of the brands of you want a true comparison of the “ultimate” drags bike with simple bolt ons and stock in opened motor
Please do a 1 Mile test!
Were they using the Gixxer launch control too?
Time for MotoGP style launch devices on the road
Quarter mile at least!
It didn't look like being a lot heavier was much of a hinderance. More force to keep the front wheel down maybe.
I dont know guys. Drag stuff needs some real professional time and focus to decide. This seemed more like fun drag times with the boys. But always nice to see the bikes out.
So how would an S1000rt have got on?
Why was there some random dude walking towards you guys during the R1M segment?
Ninja all day for me
I flashed my stock 2020 zx 10r and even with a stock 39 tooth rear sprocket it's still the fastest litrebike I have ever owned. And I have owned all of them!!!
So did they use launch control or not? They’re talking about choosing revs to launch at, but also complaining about wheelie control intervention… I’d think you’d either have it all on or all off.
yep I was wondering why they didn't ty a start with the electronics off ?
Hmmm.. getting used to the launch control on these bikes isn't something don in an afternoon...that's if they used launch control as I didn't hear the them holding revs!
The Ducati should have come with a full titanium exhaust.
Result:
1: Ducati
2:Kawasaki
3: Suzuki
4:BMW
5:Honda
6:Yamaha
7:Aprilia.
This means better to drive? Corse not
SUZUKI:-GSX-R1KR ANYDAY
💥🔥♥️💕❤️💕♥️
try taking gsxr 1000 k6 and compare with new engines
Last time they said zx10r is crap 😂 but it came up
There is a difference between feeling fast and being fast. Zx10r has always been the latter.
VMAX for the 1/8th mile by far
Is that just an 1/8 mile strip? 1/4 mile would've been much better test for these bikes🤷♂️🤦♂️
Which Kawasaki?
So why didn’t you just turn off the traction on the aprilia and have a proper go? Are you all to rider aid oriented to do it yourself? Shame as not a fair comparison. I tuned out after that! 😕
Should have included Panigale V4R in this test too.
I wanna see 60 to topend run all bikes unrestricted full exshaust who’s gonna win ima say zx10 or bmw
With anothers riders we will have different results
100% sure
Track day shoot out
You guys should have brought drag race riders instead of road racers, those drag racers can launch those hard to launch bikes.
What about a H2?
Those times are pretty sad. My old 2012 has done a 10.2 in the 1/4 and a 6.8 to the 1/8th and my old k6 did a 10.01 @154mph and 6.5 to the 1/8th. No wanky launch control or anti wheelie crap either
Not 100% sure, but doesn't the K6 GSX-R still hold the fastest 0-60 time?
As far as I understood, superbikes have turned more user friendly in past decade. Older 180hp+ bikes with no electronics are wicked!
I’ve done a 10.036 @ 148.36mph on a stock 2017 GSXR1000R so yeah these guys can do better for sure…
So these guys are drag racing with all the nanny's on
I’m wondering the same thing? I have the new 21 Aprilia RSV4 Factory and in launch control 1 it takes off like an animal.. It has 3 levels of launch!! Even in the magazine article it doesn’t really say which # launch they used on any of the bikes.
@@scottreynolds273 I have a 19 Tuono and with AWC 1 it significantly kills power, while the BMW has same intervention on Road mode. AWC 1 should be 3. However they should of disabled AWC for drag racing
@@scottreynolds273 I just bought a 21 rsv4 factory and I was like damn is it really that slow or is it just these guys not knowing how to launch it properly?
Yamaha need a New YZF-R1. The bike is amazing but need more power.
Have a look at engine oil and particulate size and you’ll soon realise don’t buy 2nd hand duc unless the guy before has changed the oil every other month, there around 7x dirtier than the BMW which is by a long way the cleanest, rice burners are pretty clean compared to the Ducati and Aprilla
Tesla plaid did 5.99 in the 1/8 mile, smokes those bikes to dust.
Wish they would have at least one person with SOME experience at the strip. The rider aids should’ve been OFF on all the bikes, or at least they do a run without them. Can’t say a bike is slow cause you allowed the Nannie’s to regulate power cause you’re not experienced
Don't u guys know that these bikes are restricted lol 9:55 , Is this a paid review? L0L 😂😂
Who is the first? And who is the last?
1/8 mile these bikes get spanked by adventure bikes, I've done 6.8 on my S1000XR, need 1/4 mile at least to get the full picture, also half these bikes had launch control that would've handled some of those honestly awful launches lol.
So in a straight line Suzuki is faster than m1000rr and Yamaha R1 seriously......?
You guys are taking too long to post the other videos with these bikes man
Are you guys dead. Where’s the rest of this series
You really should do this again with all the ECUs flashed
Wouldn't matter....these guys are drag racers.
An electric bike with more torque than you can handle is the way to go for road use. Tron is coming.
Coulda told you the panigale would come out on top
You actually could not because Ducati’s have a reputation of not liking to do standing starts with clumsy clutch engagement. But looks like Ducati is on the top of their game now
Kind of a pointless video using 1/8 mile for super bikes. Could have been a great video if you used 1/4 or 1/2 mile.
Who the heck tests 1/8 mile?
Not interested in any other results.
Why is the V4 SP in the test and not the more affordable S
The bmw is an M model
@@jessemartinez4601 That's true but it's the S1000RR M Sport not the M1000RR which has a base price of 30k excluding competition pack
@@FaddyMcFaddyWaddy they also have a top Kawi Honda sp Aprilia I think that’s what they were aiming for best vs best
@@FaddyMcFaddyWaddy no it’s the m1000
Good for you. According to all the social media Rossis straight-line racing is a waste of time any fool can do it. Yet these bike experienced journos can't do it so good. You don't see all the botched passes here. Not as easy as it looks lads.
1/8 mile is pants.
Where's kawasaki h2?
1/8 mile? C'mon guys... You know in your hearts every one of your followers aren't happy with that decision. A shame.
6.60 1/8th mile. So still slower than a 9 year old stock zx14r lol
Not much can beat a ZZR1400 hundred on a 1/8 and quarter mile that has a bigger engine and longer wheelbase. These would be a lot quicker around a track though as they are sports bikes.
@@marks3620 yeah no shit
Yeah seriously
Bikes in the 1/8th mile are not fast at all
This was not at all a fair test for any bike there
My old 08 cbr1000rr wouldn’t even keep its front wheel down at WOP until after the 1/8th mile mark
Siht.
How times have changed. A Tesla model S plaid does the 1/8 mile in under 6 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 9.08 seconds. Not many standard road bikes that can do that. See "Drag times" on RUclips.
Why are you not using launch control? Baffled. Not that 1/8 a mile actually cares...to any one!
Unlike with cars, On road bikes, so far, theyre just a nanny safety aid, not a performance aid, to help those who can't launch properly.
No1 with any of these uses them drag racing, holds em back too much.
Any bike is great
....lol......duh....I'll take the gsxr .
get a pro to do this. not these amateurs.
Ducati makes it again that's why it's my favorite brand
No one buys magazines...
In 1/4 mile drag honda would've smoked everything else
This channel is lack of professional editor, rider and expert that reason this channel not growing
Why because you wanted the Honda to win?
More talking than action!
👎👎👎
1/8 mile test? Thats a holeshot, not a race. What a joke.....and I can buy 2 Kawasaki's for the single price of a Ducati.
Or 1 zx10r and add 10k to it lol
@@higherlifts420 LOL, Right? If I put 10k into a ZX10R it is going to smoke that Ducati.
