The meaning of the song is that we are taught these nursery rhymes as a child but they are all based on terrible things that have happened. Ring around the Roseys about the Black plague the ashes ashes we all fall down is about burning the bodies that were diseased. London bridge falling down is about when the London bridge collapsed when it was first built killed several people. The this old man came Rollin home is about a war veteran that's disabled in a wheelchair who gave his body for the country. However when returning home they don't take care of him they won't throw him a bone. Mary had a little lamb I'm not sure I think it's about a newborn lamb that survived being malnourished and abandoned by the mother. Mary saved it and it followed her everywhere.

Jonathan Davis did a solo cover of Get Money by Lil Wayne that is catchy as hell. Since they're numetal legends, they've always had a hip hop vibe to them as well and have had guest performances on their albums with Cube, NaS and also covered Devil Went Down to Georgia last year with Yelawolf. They also covered One by Metallica!

Korn gets very whiny and annoying. Plus their record label is very protective of their IP. This was the album that they fell off for me. I'd even say that Follow the Leader (98) was where I couldn't take anymore. A lot of these bands had only one speed. You might want to check out something like Incubus (The Warmth, Anti-Gravity Love Song, Certain Shade of Green) or Deftones to get another view of what that scene was like in the mid-late 90's in Cali.

Being a metal head (who also loves all music in general, but metal is my ture love) I feel Lex gets it more than Brad. Brad, ypu understand it, ypu get the lyrics and all that, but Lex, you seem to GET IT. Its a release of innner demons, frustrations, anger, hate, lonliness, confusion, all the negativity, being released. Its like therapy.
I am 30 this year, I have suffered with depression, being medicated for it, since I was 18. My only true releases I get is gaming with my friends a couple times a week, and music. And metal seems to be the best for that. Its like the therapy activity, write your feelings down, then rip it up, burn it, throw it away. Metal; scream it out, let it out, feel the weight lift for a while.

Any day that we get a Metal Head Lex reaction is a good day 🔥
Also, if y’all ever get around to doing “Blind” by Korn, I would LOVE to see yalls reactions to their live performance at Woodstock ‘99. It’s wildddddd!

I love seeing black people give rock a chance. You guys hit home when you said there are lyrics, issues and topics for everything in rock. I love hiphop. Well, 90s hiphop. But for decades it seems hiphop is all the same message with different words where with rock...you never know what it's going to get into which makes it so interesting. Anyway...Lex is adorable!

The lead singer used to do drugs early in the band. And he quit drugs cold turkey with no rehab during the recording of this album. And he said he thought he was really losing his mind. But he realized he was just detoxing from not doing any drugs and alcohol. If you look up the background to some of their albums every album is about something the lead singer was going through at the time. Korn is awesome I’ve seen them live twice they’re probably one of the best bands to experience live in concert.

About 90% of metal in that era, referred to as New Metal. Korn took the lead and paved the way. Most the music in that era touched on depression, suicide, anger, abuse. And dealing with it... the new Metal scene influenced hip hop into the scene trying to bring fans from both sides in. Try Korn, twisted transistor

Dudes, I like your channel... but you should definitely watch the official videos of the songs to get more of the story it transmits....
You know, some of them are connected with the stories they tell...
You're missing a lot. And we're missing a lot because of this.

Korn has unique sound compared to other metal bands the only comparison that comes to the top of my head is Cyprus Hill who falls more in to the R&B categorie but they "Cyprus" also their own unique sound.

when he said "its going to be better tomorrow" he was mocking the concept and being sarcastic. because that is most peoples answer.. "it gets better" etc. which means absolutely nothing at all to someone who is hollow and falling away or been beaten down.

I think you should do a song on a bad day!! We could totally suggest songs that would either help or escalate those feelings, but no one else on RUclips shows their bad days, so I think it'd SO COOL if you guys did a reaction like that. Even more so because a lot of these metal songs help US on bad days, and maybe they can help you guys too!
It'd be a whole new level of "real" tbh, I'd absolutely respect you guys for showing the rougher side, no matter how the video goes.

The way I relate the lyric “beating me down” is my own thoughts going to far and overthinking things, to anyone thinking like this, you need a friend to show you what your problem is so you can try to fix it, that’s why happened to me.

Just started following you guys. I really appreciate how open minded you are to Metal. It may look or sound dark, but often has a positive message for all of us 😁
As reactions go, Mudvayne are my favourite band. Their 1st album was revolutionary and still kicks ass over 20 years later (makes me feel old!). Please react to a song called 'Dig'. The choice of video is yours. The official video shows you them in all their wonderful makeup but it's heavily censored and it really takes you out of the song, where as a lyric video would be more beneficial and help you understand what he's saying 🤣. But... The shock factor to the visuals on the official video is always worth it!
Great content. Keep it up 🤘🤘

As a Korn kid in high school, I didn’t stop listening to their music in high school. Their first album was my favorite, and I would just listen to it on repeat. Their music can be HARD to listen to, but me being what I perceived as one of the freaks or rejects, they were the soundtrack to my life in high school. Seeing them live in 1998 the year I graduate was the highlight to my year. Love Korn.
You should check out the Deftones as well. Start with shove it or change. You guys will really dig the Deftones. A lot of Korn and Tool fans are also massive Deftones fans. So they’re in that same era of metal and rock… also the song Rocket Skates by the Deftones, which is from one of their later albums is a good intro to them.

The “it’s going to be tomorrow” part is the lie you tell yourself when you’re in that headspace. You WANT to think it will be better tomorrow, but you know it won’t. He’s denying his depression as a problem. At least that’s what I took from it as someone who went through suicidal depression.
