9:44 so this vocal thing that Jonathan Davis does here was often described as *"Scatting".*
It was also linked to beatboxing as you said as well.
Jonathan himself described it as sort of a primal instinct to let those sounds out, triggered by whatever the band was doing instrumentally.
There's also a song in which he does this for the whole duration of it, called *"Twist".*
In terms of NuMetal, this was pretty unique to Jonathan and Korn... practically no other band did it.

Jonathan Davis lived a hyper-traumatic childhood filled with abuse of all kinds. Many of his songs are from that prospective, hence the many children.
As an aside, the band came to fame more from touring than airplay, and as such have an unparalleled link to and appreciation for their fan base. They are renowned for the effort they have and continue to put into making their live shows the best fan experience they can.

@@hays9008 for sure the song was written about his frustration with the music label. But the video has a different story to tell according to Todd Mcfarlane, who directed the animated portion of the video. He said the bullet represents adult actions that can then rob the innocence from children. The idea came from the picture of the little girl on the swing and the adult shadow cast from the cover of Korn.
Here's what Mcfarlane said about it in an article from Revolver.
As for the video's deeper meaning, McFarlane explained, "In the video, the thing was that bullets and guns are adult toys, and children are innocent. And although we've seen plenty examples where adults' bad behavior can cost children their innocence and at the extreme, their lives, we wanted to create it as a bit of a metaphor that when the guard comes in, he shoots the bullet, and then you see the potential danger when you cut into the live action of how it's crashing and blowing things up and barely missing people. But at the end, the little girl just grabs it, and gives it to him. And it was a little bit of, 'Silly man, Trix are for kids, not for rabbits,' like, 'You're an adult. This is your stuff. Here, take it back.'"
But your not wrong, the song's original meaning is about Jonathan's frustration with their music label and I probably could have worded the original statement better. 😁

The vocal style used at 9:44 is Jonathan's take on the "scat" of the early jazz years - Cab Calloway and Ella Fitzgerald being quite notable for their use of the style. Jonathan, of course, has a more modern implementation, using a bit of growl (false folds / throat singing) and beatboxing elements to make the sound unique!

It’s interesting hearing about how parts of the song sounds are so similar/influenced by such unrelated styles shows a more outward looking approach rather than inward looking. Something I’ve always felt that the most unique sounding musicians take ideas and are influenced by the widest variety. Closing your mind to just one style can be rather limiting as well as potential dull and boring, stifling originality. Take that open mind approach and life in general becomes the most amazing thing!

The bullet was "The Freak On A Leach" that's why it could transform/transport from cartoon to real life,
When lead singer of Korn made the bullet go back that's when you see transform/transport back from real life to cartoon

“Why does this video show so many children being so close to danger?”
The theme of the song is that we are not in control…. the hatred, confusion, selfishness, or even simple missteps of others can destroy parts of us or even *all* of us, but it is our responsibility to withstand it.

I still vividly remember when this song and album were released. Never knew I’d be revisiting them like this online so many years later. But I first heard it at somebody’s house party- I was sitting on a huge speaker and the album came on. Soon after that I heard this song on the radio, as it had just been released as a single. My girlfriend at the time had an all-night delivery job, and sometimes I would go with her, and we heard this song together. I remember telling her I thought the intro was kinda spooky a bit. Although KoRn has much darker songs than this. But then I heard it again at this guy’s graduation party, on this huge property. The big sound system was blasting it all over that large area. And now all these years later I really dig nu metal and rap-metal, as very cool fusion genres.

Wrestler Chris Jericho, whose a huge heavy metal fan, described the vocal style of Nu metal as “Cookie Monster” vocals. It makes sense.
Also johnathan Davis always mentions in interviews how he was victim to abuse and bullying. So his vocal style is an expression of pain, sadness, and anger.

The video/song you should watch/listen too of theirs is "Falling away from me" it is the first single from the album after the one this one was on and the video/song are kind of a contentious of (but not exactly a sequel to) this video/song. The video starts from where this one left off with the swinging sign. It is also a good song (and video).

Well, there is definitely a reason for all the images of kids in danger. The singer, was abused really bad as a child. They have a song where he is basically screaming crying, working through his past with a live microphone. It’s amazing piece of art but the sort of song you want to hear once and once only

Just got a new subscriber I understand how reaction videos work but just want to say I appreciate the fact that when you react you both pause and back up the video so that both the Audience and yourself miss nothing. That is something rare in reaction videos usually the reactor will either talk over the video or pause it but neglect to back it up resulting in small lost parts.
