Let me just say as a Lions fan I was impressed by the maturity Jared Goff showed in how he handled himself at the press conference. No tantrums, shouting, or screeching. Compare that to how a certain MVP QB handled a similar situation last week. The longer Goff is here the more I appreciate his leadership skills.
ok so one slip up and we shove Patrick Mahomes' tip in our mouth. He apologised and it wasn't a press conference it was live during the game on the field when emotions are running high and you aren't thinking. Could we stop meat riding him

Wrong again CBS- it was Decker and Sewell talking to the ref, Decker declares eligible, then the ref reported to Dallas, ref has back turned to Detroit, Skipper runs on field to take position- the ref F up.
Aren't they supposed to mention on the mic that a certain number has reported as eligible? If they don't do that, you have to know it's a red flag.
Odd how Skipper ran to the ref, too huh? If he was just playing tackle, then why not just go to the huddle? Perhaps Campbell was trying to rope a dope Dallas? Regardless, they had two additional chances.

Unfortunately a little too brilliant for that ref. Don’t confuse the refs. Talk. Slowwwwly.

There's a thing called a pool report. You should look it up.
They want to pack their stuff and get out of there ASAP. They don't want to be meeting those angry fans in the parking lot. That's why they just give out a statement after they reach a safe destination. It also gives them time to think up excuses to cover up their mistakes.
@@drockx85a pool report isn’t facing the media. There might be less hype about bad calls if we hear what the ref was thinking when he called it.

Jared handled that very well. Didn’t yell. Didn’t throw a tantrum. Very good. I am sure the NFL is going to fine him $50,000 for disagreeing with the refs.
You could see him go talk to the ref - the refs fucked up yet another game...
Proof that was not referee error but intentional referee fixing:
1) Dallas lined up in only a way you would expect only if the ref informed them 68 was eligible. If they told Dallas 70 was eligible, they wouldn’t have lined up that way.
2) If Dallas was told 70 was eligible, when 68 made the catch they would have immediately protested that they were miscommunication to instead of acting like, damn we mess up.
3) Dallas coaches would have immediately protested the formation as well.
4) Every flag thrown you see a replay on TV immediately after showing the play in question. Yet this one play, the most crucial of the game with the most financial impact of the post season isn’t reviewed on TV until Aikman shows it on his post game report. This shows it was not only a referee mistake but involvement from higher ups as well that it was fixed.
5) Audio exists from both players and refs. Yet is not shown without any reason. If the ref told Dallas 70 was ineligible his mic or a number of players mic would reflect that. No audio is available it seems.
6) The refs explanation states 70 had reported 70x. This would be irrelevant except to justify yourself when you know you were wrong.
9) if the ref said 70 was eligible, told Dallas 70 was eligible then saw 68 catch, the flag would have been thrown immediately by all refs and protested by Dallas and coaches instantly. The delay in call shows it was called from the booth.
10) audio recordings exist from the booth to the refs. We will not see it because this rigging goes all the way to the top and finally it is unmistakable.
Man I'm rooting hardcore for the lions the rest of the way. And my Texans of course.
Very happy for CJ and the Texans!

If I know Dan Campbell he is telling his players that they won that game, forget the record. Goff is correct when he said that they had plenty of opportunities to win the match especially in the first quarter with those two drives which started inside the Cowboys red zone, if they grabbed one touchdown instead of just one field goal they win the game. However having wasted those opportunities, they get themselves into the position to win, they complete the play to win and some miss communication on the refs part sees them fly back to Michigan not having the win. The way they handled the post game press conferences was awesome. If they can tighten their secondary defence they can at least get to the NFC Championship game!

This is Goff’s “Welcome to Detroit” moment. People are now starting to see how bafflingly bad the officiating can be against the Lions.
It's not the Lions, it's moreso the Cowboys.
The refs always get instruction from the NFL to make games more interesting. ever notice how when games are close, and game-losing or huge plays happen that a phantom foul is called?
Mostly, this happens because the NFL wants a certain team to win to increase viewership; typically teams on losing streaks (I.e. Bengals vs. Steelers, Cowboys yesterday).
Did 68 have to report before each 2pt play attempt or just before the first one?
McCarthy is one of the worse coach's in the league, what a terrible offensive game he called, run on first down 12 times for a total of 2 yard's , terrible clock management at the end, he's rediculous
The ref never reported 68 to the defense. They weren't even looking at him as a reciever.
If I was Goff I would have just said yeah, we won that game next question. "I don't really care what the NFL says or the Refs or the scorecard, we just beat Dallas in their house, if they want to screw up calls or if the fix is in that doesn't affect us that's on them to live with we have a Super Bowl to win."
He won’t say but, he knows they got screwed
EVEN IF HE DID THE PLAY WAS COMING BACK REGARDLESS FOR ILLEGAL FORMATION AND A HOLD THAT WERE ALSO CALLED. Everyone is so hyper focused on the illegal man that they’re ignoring the two other fouls on the play. Shannon Sharpe explains PERFECTLY what happened on the play and why that didn’t matter anyway because the whole play was bad period. So many overreacting, but if this happened to Dallas not a f*cking word would be said about it. It’s pathetic.
Yep. They weren't crying about the refs last week when bad calls favored them
When Stephen A Smith says, "what can go wrong, does go wrong," are we sure he's talking about Dallas and not Detroit? It seems like Detroit is the one with the black cloud over them. They have the worst luck.
The NFL doesn't care
We’re still winners in my eyes. One pride baby
The WR on his side was on the line of scrimmage. That makes the tackle ineligible. If the ref never announced the player was eligible then the player is not eligible. The defense does not know he is eligible then. He was not covered on the play because he was never declared eligible by the ref. The defense is told who has declared.
The WR is off the line and not covering the TE but if you want to say that and act like it's not on film, go right ahead.
Acting like the professional coaches don't know how to set the line for this play.
They literally were called for an illegal formation on the play because Skipper was covered up. I thought it was Deker who was covered because it was a close line up. But it was Skipper. Actually Skipper was covered by Sewell and the wr. Which makes the formation illegal when a player is declared eligible.@@mikedoyle5939
They either did not know or tried to get away with it. Either way it is all the Lions fault. If the ref got the wrong player declaring, then it is up to the Lions to correct it. By the coaches, reaction they did not teach the players this or the players would have known to correct the ref when the ref announced the wrong player declared.@@cochip__5897
that would've been a better call by the refs. but it wasn't, their call. nice try.
My mothers team,( Cowboys) my rivals.( SF- 49ers), but because I love my Mother and want her happy, glad her team won and beat Uncle Jack's team ( the Lions) who lives in Michigan.
We got screwed! NFL should give us the win before next week flat out robbed!😢
It sucks. Im a Cowboys fan. Dez Bryant in Green Bay a few years ago. Playoffs. It was a catch. The league admitted it was.....after the season ended. It happens.
As a Chiefs fan, i feel like the NFL should award the Lions the victory. They seemed to win fair and square. Crazy ending to that game!
Yall crying about the refs but wont say shit about your guys holding parson all game with no flags thrown, your cool when it benefits you but cry when it does not 😂😂😂,
Parsons had good game all together but even the cowboys sideline the whole AT&T Stadium knows we got screwed the air came out the building and a late flag takes our win away asks Micca, Dak, Lamb and Jerry Jones and they would say we literally stole this game.
@@jolanpurchase5228 3 penalties took place on that 2 pt try, all on lions, next penalty on Parsons, had a 3rd shot at 2pt conversion and failed, so how did you get robbed when you had 2 more trys
That ref needs to be fired. That was one of the worst calls I have seen. Also the stats might not show it, but Goff played a good game.
Jerry Jones "bought" another one
Don't have 2 players go up to the refs. That might help. Who knows what was said. ONLY 1 CAN REPORT.
So, you're saying we should expect the ref to be confused by really big numbers. ... like 3. I could see how that would be really confusing.
If you fucked up that much at work, would it slide?
Not true that only one can report. Dan was wrong. Also, 70 was not one of the players that went up to the ref. This is all very clear on the tape.
Finally the Cowboys on the winning end of a stupid call however! Goff a CAL Alumni is a good dude
THIS GAME MUST BE OVERTURNED. GET JERRY JONES AND HIS MONEY OUT OF THE NFL ONCE AND FOR ALL. THIS WAS RIGGED
Ha! That's why Dallas has not won a Super Bowl in almost 30 years. Because of Jerry Jones and his money. 😂
Ha! Did all them there officials have Texas accents? THIS GAME WAS FIXED.@@davidpaz9389
I’m a big fan of Goff but how does he “know” Decker reported? He told Decker to go but he wasn’t there. Looks like Decker just assumed the ref could read his mind. Big mistake. Lions are lucky that they can still redeem themselves from a stupid mistake.
