Good video. I Didn't know McVay was calling in the changes at the line. So Goff has used more of his mind to pick apart defenses these last 3 years. Let's go!
Ben Johnson has done so much for Goff. Showing him respect, putting the ball in his hands in big moments, playing to Goffs strengths with the type of Offense he wanted to run he knew Goff would strive in a system like that. Mcvay is a hell of a coach but lets face it he wanted a QB that could push the ball downfield as much as possible and that's not just Goffs game. I think Jared saw the confidence Detroit and the coaches and teammates had in him that and thought "if these guys got confidence in me then I need to have confidence in myself." He's won over the Locker room it seems like the guys love him and he seems like he's got all his confidence back and it also seems like it's exactly what he needed to revive his career. Everyone hated MCDC since that first presser but I loved the guy and Lions need to franchise tag him rn lol.
Goff had the arm to do what McVay wants, he doesn’t throw like Stafford but that arm is well above average. They just didn’t have a good line and he struggled a lot with pressure, which he still does now at times but it’s night and day compared to his old self
@@CoBeMuaDong4100 I never said he couldn't do it I just said that's not his game it's not what he's best at, Stafford had Megatron to throw to all those years and was good at throwing the go ball and deep posts and stuff like that, goff is play action run and open up for a big play every once in awhile. Mcvay wants big plays every time the Offense is on the field, kind of like what Bruce Arians wanted when Brady first got there, Tom saw that wasn't working and he restructured that Offense and it would open up big plays every once in awhile like Goff in detroit.
Very nicely done! Im on the east coast but grew up a Rams fan because my dad was. I got to Eric Dickerson play and was there for Kurt Warner & the greatest show on turf. Jeff Fisher threw Golf into a bad team to try & save his own job. I became a Goff fan after watching him take a beating (on and off the field) but come back & perform the next year. I’m not saying Goff was always perfect but during the superbowl there were also poor coaching decisions and dropped balls that were equally to blame. From that point on Goff became the scapegoat for injuries and an egotistical coach who couldn’t look in the mirror. Imagine being such a weasel that as a head coach you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to tell your QB face to face your being traded from our team that was finally primed for another superbowl run, to the worst team in the NFL. I watched the Lions close since then and the team won me over. Dan Campbell seemed to be everything Sean McVay was not. I was torn going into the Rams/Lions playoff game but as the game kicked off I was all in on the Lions. Not sure where they go from here but so glad to see Goff finally get some vindication and more importantly respect from his coach.
How about when Goff lead the league in INT despite having a top 8 oline and his inability to read defenses and poor decisions which lead to a blowout loss in Miami??
I've had quite a few friends comment on how goff was garbage after his first season in Detroit, but I defended the lack of time with Detroit and weapons. To be fair, I thought he'd be a transitional QB and we'd move off him next season to draft someone new. Always loved the trade because I didn't honestly think Stafford would still be going, so we had to do something at QB anyway.
We freaking love Jared and fiancé here in Mich. He could of torn this team apart even more but didn’t. He’s a WINNER pure and simple.Sean McVey owes Jarod a huge apology. Humiliated the man and still didn’t break him.
Cal alum here...Goff got the eye of then Cal head coach Jeff Tedford (he was fired after Goff committed), a guy known for finding and producing some great college QB's, one of those being a Northern California JC QB that nobody wanted...he visited Butte to check out the tight end, and ended up recruiting both the TE and the guy throwing it to him. Turned out to be a smart move.
I'm so glad somebody made this video! I'm definitely subscribing! I would love to have done this but don't have the money to. First let me start by saying this! I've been a die-hard lions fan for years! But after our second playoff loss with I wanted him gone. and when we signed Jared Goff there was a fog lifted from Detroit. I was born on March 18th, 1993 (which just so happens to be the last time we won a playoff game) now we signed Goff on my B-day in 2021. And I know this before the video. But there's something about Goff and this pattern with new teams. In college his 1st year was the worst. Same with Rams, and Lions. But 2nd year in College better. But not great. Same with the Rams, and Lion's. Now his "3rd" year is always where he shows his best. In college. Took the Rams to the Super bowl. And took us to the Championship! It's like 3 years seems to be his number that he completely figures his team out and has everything down! But college ends! The Rams kick him to the curb! And we're going to find out what happens after that! We're the ones that lucked out in that trade. Yeah they got their instant success With Stafford that year. But they're the only team in the Super bowl era to win it and then go below 500 the year after. And then they went to the playoffs last year but lost to us. I've never been more happier to be a Detroit fan. Him, Campbell and Holmes have brought a whole culture to the city. Something Stafford could never do. And I'm loving it. Can you say 🏆🏆🏆 LFG 🦁🦁🦁
Rams fan. I love Jared Goff Even before we drafted him I saw his highlights watched a few of his games and felt the guy was going to be good. Rams traded up to get him and I was the happiest guy alive. Unfortunately he did not want a championship with us. And I really hope that one day no matter who he plays for he gets a championship. I'm not even alliance fan and hearing the Jared Goff chance brings me to tears. Go get one Jared Goff I believe in you.
Well done! I didn't know all that about Goff. Wild that trade, but certainly I feel like needed to be done. Short term gain for LA, huge long term gains for Detroit at just the right time. He has suffered some tough breaks but been very solid. I sure hope we see him turn elite. Detroit started in a town close to where I live, Ironton Ohio they were called the tanks. They dissolved into the Portsmouth Spartans which were a bit further down the Ohio river. While I am a Bengals fan, always loved the lions, but it has been tough for them. You mention the script, lets just hope the NFL has them written in to win finally. lol
Detroit fans embraced Jared Goff his second season and we realized that he was not an interim QB, he was our future. He has grown and matured here and we all love him and appreciate his leadership and spirit of competition. The Lions make every player compete and earn their spot in the roster and Goff has stepped up. The Lions play the Niners on Sunday. They will win 35-20 Goff at the helm. He will win the MVP and we move on to the SB. Goff cemented his place in Lions history and proved he could do something Stafford could not do here. One Pride
Stafford got us a Superbowl 😂😂😂😂 I wish I could say the same to you guys after Goff and the lions play like trash in the second half and got stomped out by them Niners. I was actually rooting for you guys but Goff will be Goff. Good riddance 👏
I've always liked Goff. I thought he got a raw deal in the trade, but it probably worked out best for both parties. I admire how he kept his head up and preserved through some very challenging times. I'm not necessarily a Lions fan but hope they can win out!
@ssway28 Shit at least we won the Super Bowl 😂😂😂😂 can't say the same for them Lions tonight 😂😂😂 them Niners went bang bang ! Blew the fucking lead too 😂😂😂😂 wtf 😂😂😂😂 Goff will be Goff and Detriot is celebrating just to make it to the NFC conference finals. Wow 😂
I’m a Detroit fan and Goff is the kind of QB who can execute the offense given to him but who cannot reliably create opportunities on the fly. Playing on the fly is when he generally turns the ball over. I hope he stays, but not at any cost. If he wants anything north of $40mil/yr, I hope the Lions let him walk, even if somehow we win the Super Bowl.
Not about Goff, it's about the whole team around him, their playing good consistent football for the first time in franchise history. He's just a huge part of it.
It was not Jared goff’s fault that they lost the Super Bowl, did you see how much easy catches the receivers dropped! Jared Goff had a good game his receivers did not
Pats DB came from across the field to break up a touchdown for LA. Not saying the outcome would have been different but it would have been more high scoring than 13-3.
@@marctorrez774 but did you not see the receiver whos two hands were literally on the ball and he didn't catch it? literally a perfect throw. That interception only happened because of that drop. it wasn't solely his fault
as a Lions fan, I'll admit to having my misgivings at first. i outright accepted him as a bridge qb until this year. but how he's thrived under Campbell and Holmes has earned him all the respect he can be given. hes an integral piece of a very talented offense that is undoubtedly better with him under center, hes exactly who we need right now. with this team, this staff, this PASSION, i believe they can get to the bowl. good enough for Detroit, and in GOFF WE TRUST 🤝 ONE PRIDE BABY BEAT THE NINERS 😤🦁
Regardless of how the 23 season ends, Goff’s already sealed his spot in Detroit’s hall of fame. He will always be considered a hero in the city now. Nobody could possibly explain the energy in Detroit when everyone was chanting “Jared Goff”
As a 49er fan and NFL fan in general, I am happy for Jared Goff that he plays a huge part of the Detroit Lions making it not only to the postseason but winning in the postseason first time in 30 years I believe it was and that game in the NC championship against the 49ers, I thought I was going to have a heart attack...lol April 49ers would have made one more little mistake chances are that the Lions would appear in the super bowl last year,..... Also we have seen so many quarterbacks that Justin have the same success as others and their considered as a bust but honestly playing a quarterback in the NFL even if it's just one game... It's a accomplishment in itself and not just the quarterback position but any player that makes the NFL should be damn proud and you should never be ashamed the is your cut or you got hurt because most of us we don't even see an NFL field hell Life is don't even see a high school football field let alone in NFL field, I put it a love to have a chance to play in the NFL would you pretty much anything, so Jared goff should be proud having a career in the NFL,Even if he got traded to alliance and it didn't work out I think he still should have been proud
I’ve noticed the thing about Goff is when you least expect it he shines. When you doubt him, he shines. But expect too much and he shoots himself in the foot. I’m rooting for him but that’s usually what I’ve seen in his career
In year two of Goff the Lions started 1-6, the turnaround came after week 7, not week 5. In their last ten games the Lions went 8-2 to just miss the playoffs. this year they went 12-5, well actually 13-4, but the official’s error against the cowgirls…..well let’s just quote MCDC. “You’re F….ing good enough for Detroit, Jerod Goff!!!”
This is completely unimportant, but I'm OCD so here 'goes: The word is "versus," which is a two-syllable word that does not rhyme with "verse." I expect nothing to happen as a result of this comment. Excellent work and many thanks.
2018 game Rams vs Chiefs is all you need to see why Goff was selected No#1 overall. SB loss was with an injured Gurley (reduced to a decoy), and Kupp was out since week 10. Would have been a totally different outcome with those two healthy. But maybe Goff gets his chance with DET, it’s an explosive young team with lots of momentum, strong old school coaching making these guys warriors. That’s how champions are born.
As a rams fan we never hated Jarod, did he make mistakes yes, did mcvay mishandle the situation 100% but business is business in the nfl because of mcvays and companys decision lead to a super bowl all you can hope for is Jarod’s continued success.
People forgot that his first year in Detroit wasn’t bad stat wise for him. A TD/INT ration of 19/8 and 91.5 season passer rating with a team that only won 3 games

Much love to #16. Goff is a very mentally tough quarterback. We love him in the D!
Awesome job! This was very informative and had a great flow.
Thanks so much! That means a lot!!
Great video as always! I enjoyed watching this!
Great stuff! Goff has really impressed over the last two years.
I kinda love how most of the country have become Lions fans. What a great story!
Same. Who can't cheer for as big of an underdog as Detroit
Amazing work Lauren, well done!!
Thank you so much Matt!
First time watching one of your videos my lady. Very well done. 👏
As eagle fan glad he made this.far now he's facing his fav team that's Krazy story
Hope lions can make all the way ...
Thank you for this video! I’m a big fan of JG!
With all of the shit Goff went through, it's like he was meant to play for Detroit.
Goff vs Everybody
there were some great games so far - this was an interesting storyline too
Great video Lauren!!
Turned out to be a smart move.
in goff we trust
Super in depth. Great information. Thanks for the great video.
Seems like all the key passes he missed that you pointed out also hit his receivers hands
Also missed the part when cooks was wide open and decided to force a throw into coverage which resulted in a INT
@@ssway28he got way better that’s all that matter
Such a great video. Thank you!
Nice work exclamation point great Pace great enthusiasm! Keep On Rocking
Awesome video, very well done in all aspects! Just subbed ❗️👍🏼
I really enjoyed the video. Very well done.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Todd!
You mention the script, lets just hope the NFL has them written in to win finally. lol
I am a Niners fan and am rooting for the Lions we have won enough over the decades.
This was well put together and presented! Go Lions
Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing you on ESPN
What a rollercoaster of a career. Love it.
Good video Lauren I wish all the lions fans good luck.
The Lions not only got the draft picks they also got Brad Holmes who built this team. Yes it is Goff's year for the Superbowl.
I've always liked Goff. I thought he got a raw deal in the trade, but it probably worked out best for both parties. I admire how he kept his head up and preserved through some very challenging times. I'm not necessarily a Lions fan but hope they can win out!
Keep making these videos love them !✌🏼
FEEL the Goff!
McVay couldn't admit that his offensive playcalling cost them the SB as much as Goff's play. He went unhinged psycho.
He did admit his play calling cost them the super bowl... good try tho lmao
Wow 😂
Video is awesome Lions vs Buccaneers game should be a good one
I’m a Detroit fan and Goff is the kind of QB who can execute the offense given to him but who cannot reliably create opportunities on the fly. Playing on the fly is when he generally turns the ball over. I hope he stays, but not at any cost. If he wants anything north of $40mil/yr, I hope the Lions let him walk, even if somehow we win the Super Bowl.
As a former St. Louis Rams fan, I rooted for Geoff and the Lions to beat LA Rams last week. I hope they go all the way to prove all doubters wrong.
I didn’t know a whole team can move from one city to another. I learned something new.
@@tiberianexcalibur STL a shithole now, too much violence.
@@tiberianexcalibur Raiders moved from LA to Vegas as well.
What did you think of there season opener/rematch? That was one of the greatest games I have ever seen, old school football!
Not about Goff, it's about the whole team around him, their playing good consistent football for the first time in franchise history. He's just a huge part of it.
Uhm.. I'm pretty sure she is talking about basically Goff.
@@jonatjandelcarmen yea exactly, if its about the detroit lions history. why is she talking about cal and the rams.
Appreciate the sermon, preacher. Amen and go lions
Most W video of all time, been waiting for this moment.
Goff = Goat
Well done video!! Goff proved me wrong! I support him and the Lions fully! Go Lions!
It was not Jared goff’s fault that they lost the Super Bowl, did you see how much easy catches the receivers dropped! Jared Goff had a good game his receivers did not
Definitely wasn’t solely his fault
Go back and watch the game. On that interception Goff had a Receiver running wide open underneath. He forced that throw.
@@kyledeacon5620 This pass? ruclips.net/video/Hht0fbqom3w/видео.htmlsi=qzhlFhlM9a0q2qY0
as a Lions fan, I'll admit to having my misgivings at first. i outright accepted him as a bridge qb until this year. but how he's thrived under Campbell and Holmes has earned him all the respect he can be given. hes an integral piece of a very talented offense that is undoubtedly better with him under center, hes exactly who we need right now. with this team, this staff, this PASSION, i believe they can get to the bowl. good enough for Detroit, and in GOFF WE TRUST 🤝 ONE PRIDE BABY BEAT THE NINERS 😤🦁
He will lead the Lions to greatness this year.
HE a LION 🦁 NOW !!!! ONE PRIDE!!!! REDEMPTION IS COMING SOON!!
amazing video, as a Lions fan and a huge fan of Goff this made me teary eyed by the end LMAO
Regardless of how the 23 season ends, Goff’s already sealed his spot in Detroit’s hall of fame. He will always be considered a hero in the city now.
Nobody could possibly explain the energy in Detroit when everyone was chanting “Jared Goff”
Goff is our guy
JARED GOFF. JARED GOFF!! JARED GOFF!!!!!!!!!!!
0:21 the rams also got Bobby Wagner von miller obj and some more they didn’t win just cus of stafford (as a stafford fan)
When did ken start playing football?
Proud to call Jared my QB. Go Lions!
I’ve noticed the thing about Goff is when you least expect it he shines. When you doubt him, he shines. But expect too much and he shoots himself in the foot.
I’m rooting for him but that’s usually what I’ve seen in his career
Mveigh was out coached by Bellicheck...cant blame Goff for losing by 6 points in SB
LIONNATION BABY!!!🎉🎉
I’m glad he beat the Rams 🐏 in the playoffs…hopefully he can do the same against the 49ers…
The fact she called him Greg"The Leg" 😂😂😂😂 #iykyk ...*presses subscribe!
LETS GO LIONS
This is completely unimportant, but I'm OCD so here 'goes: The word is "versus," which is a two-syllable word that does not rhyme with "verse." I expect nothing to happen as a result of this comment. Excellent work and many thanks.
Great video!!
Wow. Great video!
As a rams fan we never hated Jarod, did he make mistakes yes, did mcvay mishandle the situation 100% but business is business in the nfl because of mcvays and companys decision lead to a super bowl all you can hope for is Jarod’s continued success.
So GOOD Nice job.
Your videos are great! 🔥🔥🔥
great video!
People forgot that his first year in Detroit wasn’t bad stat wise for him. A TD/INT ration of 19/8 and 91.5 season passer rating with a team that only won 3 games
This should be named how Dan Campbell change Jared’s career
In Goff We Trust
It was McVey's system that held Goff back.
Who's here after the Goffs contract extension???? 🔥🔥🔥🔥
