Definitely the right choice if, like me, you’re buying a convertible Mustang. You don’t buy a convertible to outgun other sports cars, you buy it to go cruising, roof back, Ray-Bans on, Steely Dan on the stereo and elbow on the window ledge. So no need for a V8. And remember that the V8, being nose-heavy, will accentuate the slight adverse effect on the handling suffered by all convertibles. This is caused by removal of the roof from the coupe.
2018 names the ecoboost a perfect consumer rating on the Mustang. 1. Use synthetic oil 2. Minimum 91 octane 3. Maintain every 5K 4. Always get the extended warranty, I got mine used at 29K for 29K
If you still have the car, you can always reset the stereo while driving by holding in the power and the track forward button for a few seconds....that way you dont have to stop or shut it off etc.
Great video and a lot of good info. I have a 2017 Ecoboost premium and I love it. I have 55k on it and I've have no issues so far. I recently installed the Ford Performance Calibration Kit and its a totally different car now. I highly recommend the FP Calibration Kit upgrade. Gt 350 intake and a FP tune completely changed the car. I agree about the paint; mine has chips all over and it's not like I'm driving on rock roads.
I have to ask. How would you not know you were purchasing a 4 cylinder ecoboost? I'm guessing you open the hood and hopefully test drove it. Those two things would give it away. Does you car still have the original brakes? Scratches isn't from bad paint. It's from issue that happens when you drive. Having a Mustang means having 2 small seats for emergency usage. I find the front seats comfortable and being 6'1" tall the leg room is ample. Thanks for sharing.
