Yeah, they are the United Terran Protectorates on Earth. That was another option, so we actually already know what happened to Earth.
Part 1: So for our first Stellaris Invicta we were super militarist but this time we want to have a really friendly, peaceful nation all about democracy and exploration.

This is my prediction for the start of the next episode:
_While what the leaders of the Confederacy learned about Earth was very important, we're not going to tell you what it is. Instead, let's talk about what else was going on along the Confederate frontier while the war with the Khan raged._
i swear to god when that last shot lingered for like 15 seconds i was thinking "don't show the endcard please don't show the endcard, please reveal what it is" then the endcard came and i metaphorically drowned in frustration
its getting really annoying, the 2nd episode massively baited for like 2 minutes and then just didn't mention a single word about it again
I get that the circumstances of stellaris invicta mean they can't necessarily give these wrap-ups but like, don't bait if you know you don't have at the very least *teasers* to give people along the way. Fine to not give everything but we know exactly as much right now regarding Earth as we did at the end of part 1

@@beepbop6542 though you can gather that from what we have learnt already. The fact a Fallen Empire takes great interest in the situation of both Earth and it's Lost Colony is very interesting. This can basically have two options; either Earth (I believe is called the Greater Terran Protectorates, but I'm not sure if that was a spoiler or from one of the episodes) is a Galatic Superpower that holds hegemony over a large swarth of the Galaxy, or is a Dominion of a Fallen Empire, likely the rival of 'our' Fallen Empire, and a Dominion that still holds vast power nonetheless.
These are my two hypotheses of the situation on Earth, but I don't actually fully trust what Lashy said, so in my mind, both are still valid hypothesis.
@@freewyvern707 the United Terran Protectorates was one of the options for this season, it was a Scion of a fallen empire, and if they're not just reusing it in the play through, it's a clever (or arguably stupid) bit of slight of hand. We do know, in cannon, that there is a United Terran Protectorates, but we don't know if they're the same one we heard about in the pre-season vote.

As a GTU Fanatic I am concerned what has happened on Earth.....This episode left me craving for the next chapter to know the big reveal.

I do enjoy the difference in how the story is shaping up between the GTU and Antares Confederacy thanks to their origins.
With the GTU it was a lot more militaristic from the get go thanks to the prior invasion so were more "Strike fast and hard before they even have a chance" whereas here the Antares are more diplomatic so while they are slowly becoming more militaristic due to pragmatism, they seem to gain more allies than outright enemies.

Earth is the United Terran Protectorates (another one of the options put up for the vote before the season started). Earth has been taken over by a Fallen Empire who has turned them into a puppet state for its own nefarious ends. Basically, XCOM 2, so Antares gonna' have to liberate Earth from the puppet government and its Fallen Empire masters.

AGREED! Sesaon 1 got me interested, Season 2 made me pull the trigger and purchased the Starter Pack on Steam. Currently on my first playthrough, went Iron man mode for the achievements. Its friggin epic.

Now I'm imagining said headless chicken eventually comes back to fight, all kitted out in heavy armor and totting around a massive canon while leading an even larger army of armored chickens.

Some side note:
the Keelar nation fleet hepl AC to retake a systhem but also steal two systhem in west bordel.
The third fleet get ambush by the new Khan in Nebula south of Galaxy but happy survive the attack and after that the new Khan surrendered

But I wonder one thing, important to the lore I belive: If Antares is a Confederacy, then does that mean each colony outside of the home system is included in the representation in the House and the Senate? Because that would mean expanding both of them a heelllll... I wonder how the Templin's crew will handle that considering brilliant creation of the AC itself

The Templin Institute should make a video about an overview of all empire or important empire and events in the series, I mean, what the point of making a Alien Empire Submission and to a lesser extend, spreadsheet if all we got is some cool name, like I understand if it from empire like the Vrul League as it could harm the established lore, but at least the Templin Institute could have a spreadsheet about all the empire in the series and their creator's canon.
Pity the new nemesis expansion couldn't have been used in this playthrough. Espionage, fog of war, first contact mechanics and intel would be amazing here.

Am I the only one here getting a Babylon 5 feel from this? The Confederation is starting to remind me of The Army of Light/Interstellar Alliance.
A few idea for the about Stellaris Invicta Season 2 Templin Institute because i don't know how to classified this (sorry for the bad english):
1. an overview of all empire or important empire in the series, maybe even some of their cities, systems, fleets, person of interest,...
2. an honorable mention of all empire that were good but didn't make the cut or some of the team personal favourite ( not necessarly have to be in the actual series )
3. an extra round of writing submission to the people whose empire were picked (either in the actual series or the picked 100), they can write idea about their empire cities, systems, fleets, person of interest,... or even add additional lore to the Antares confederacy or the chosen empire in general because as of now, the whole "audience contribution" thing comes off as a publicity ploy than something actually get include in the official series.

Seems the empire of which Zarqlan was a part of was much akin to the Roman Empire here on Earth: A vast nation encompassing a large portion of the overall known territory at the time which, after it's fall, still left a huge cultural impression on it's constituent peoples, language similarities being chief among them. Nice comparison!
This gave me goosebumps, very well done.

The series is still going well. I must wish that the Discord lore about the republics could get some kind of integration beyond an occasional tweet with no context. The whole "audience contribution" thing comes off as a publicity ploy rather than something Templin takes seriously.
I wanted to read some of the discussions that are going on so I joined the discord, but found nothing. What's the situation with the republics?
@@thewarlock539 Have you checked the Division Assignment channel? You need to have an Antares Republic role in order to access the Senate channel and your nation's channel, and Division Assignment is where you choose which of the founding 11 republics to join.
