The war with the Vrull was good timing for the Confederacy, as it allowed them to _iron out the bugs in their military_ before they burst out onto the wider scene and maybe have to literally _iron out_ some *Bugs.*
Imagine being an UTP diplomat, possibly born and raised on the original Antares system, and one day in the galactic community an new alien nation is introduced: The Antares Confederacy
I believe the Antares flotilla got sucked not only through space, but also through universes. Obviously the UTP is the one Scion one that was in the vote, and it has no colonies outside of what was "allowed" by their overlord. I also think this was setup from the beginning and was always going to be a thing, I remember in the AC pilot it mentioned that there were suddenly 100s of messages being received from Earth, if they swapped universes this could have been Earth shouting out to the galaxy that the planet was about to die and that they (we) need help. Interesting lore about Black stone in Kaaba, Antares Imam, and The Rock Empire. It's kinda make sense with islamic mythology if the Black Stone is actually a living spiritual Rock.
“Ammo count!” I yelled. I turned my attention to the rear-facing round counter of my XR-12 rifle, a fine old thing, the perfect blend of stopping power, control and reliability. Unfortunately, its rate of fire combined with the large size of the standard round meant it chewed through our small number of spare magazines like some kind of moreish snack. The boys around me call back. We’re all running low, myself down to my last magazine of 20 rounds. My own fault, really. I was never so good at short, controlled bursts. Especially when some alien freak that could turn me into meat paste with ease was coming at me. Damn, I miss those movies where the aliens were little green men… I’d take the death rays over having my legs pulled off. “Movement to the south-south-east, commander!” one of my snipers called out. Lucky us, for whatever reason the killing field surrounding a torn up, platoon sized drop ship wasn’t deterring them. Despite the physical differences, we weren’t out gunned, we still had the point defences active. You can be as big and strong as you like, but when you get hit by a 250mm tungsten shell meant for cracking stellar debris, it’ll turn you inside-out just as easy. We could barely call ourselves a platoon anymore, we were at 65% casualties and our vehicles were tapped in the hold. I had some of my sappers on the door with cutting torches, they were close to finished. I don’t know my arse from my elbow when it comes to an engineer’s job, but even I could tell they were nearly done. Freed from the belly of our ship, their big guns and armour would be the difference. We just had to hold out a little longer. We loaded up and got the wounded and dead back inside. Either we get the tanks out, the aliens piss off, some miracle happens and we get orbital supremacy again… or we all die here. “Every shot counts!” I yell through the loudspeaker connected to my helmet’s internal communicator, “Put the fire down, lads! Those freaks want to show us a good time and I’m feeling generous! If anything outside our little hill so much as twitches, fill it with holes, coordinate with your battle-buddies and cover each others’ backs!” I continued as the heavies’ autocannons opened up, each shell wounding or blowing away the aliens. An alien round pinged off of my shoulder, throwing me backward momentarily. I stand back up and yell our platoon motto, “ANTARES INFINITUM!!” I nearly peaked the loudspeaker with that one, but the lads of my platoon are a rowdy bunch and will take any excuse to drink, tussle, or make a load of noise, and by any gods listening, they shouted. I swear the aliens recoiled. -- Excerpt from the Memoirs of then Acting Platoon-Commander Ugabe Trentch

And if North Korea was successfully invaded _(the nukes all fizzled for this scenerio)_ the population could be integrated afterwards. But it would require adjustments and also the elimination of all the regimes people. So with the Vrull, once the Salvation League itself is wiped out the civilian population would be salvageable - remember it was the treatment of the lower classes by the leadership that inspired the Confederacy to go to war. Although it was the smart long term move from a defensive perspective - if left alone and allowed to build up the Vrull could be a serious threat, and they were at their weakest right after their Homeworld had been destroyed. Incorporating the Vrull afterward would also be the smart move, it would allow the Confederacy to monitor and influence their development so that another Salvation League doesn't arise, either from hidden survivors of the regime or just because the Vrull themselves are crap at self Government and always allow the most viscous of them to lead. As well, having the Vrull inside gives the Confederacy more strengths, as the Vrull are physically very capable. They would be a huge asset once their culture is adjusted. Actually who ever has control of Earth would not want a lost Colony now a power of humans running around without some control. It would be in the best interest of the UEP to reign in the lost Colony before it tries to liberate its former homeworld.
This was beautifully narrated and illustrated, so much so that I actually felt genuine sadness when the Vrul’s suffering was mentioned. And what a way to properly explain the federation’s creation (the government might be secular but many people are still somewhat religious in the republics, hence being friendly with the Cloister of the spirit.). A great video you created here, well done!
i dont want to imagine a totalrian facist regime would be facing off a democractic parlimentary regime., Its like UNE versus commonwealth of man in stellaris cannon
Someone should turn this in a tv series! This will definitely become the new hit space series it has a more fresh take on the space genre in my opinion.
Yeah, it still happened, but with a slightly different set up. There must have been some semblance of peace across most of earth, by the 2150’s, for the space gate to (original) Antares, and the Earhart Flotilla, to have been built and fully prepared with millions of colonists. But still, some point after that, this fallen empire must have turned up and flipped the script for all of humankind.
Is this going to be about the Twitch Stream? And about the confedarcy's Best friends Spiritual *Rock people* ?! and the -spoilers- shocking discovery about the humanity?!
While the timing would be way off by at least a thousand years, having the reunion be with The Holy Solar Empire would have been very awkward. But that's nothing compared to the reaction to The Eternal Kreventum. Would it be contagious, that would scare the Confederacy. The United Federation of Nations is what the Confederacy would have expected to happen in their absence. And what if it had been the Greater Terran Union? "Oh…, we treat Aliens with respect, we even liberate the nasty ones and unite with the nice ones". Still it'll be interesting to see what the Collaborators secret plan is. And are they the massive interstellar community that the Confederacy has just wandered into, or just a faction of it?
14:15 Also training up the remainder of their forces. Using the hit-run attacks as practice and for improving the staff. Promoting captains that succeed and firing captains that fail. Adapting doctrines that work and abandoning those that don't. I would think there would be a lot of tension with over half of the high ranking officers demoted or outright fired for incompetence and insubordination.
A few idea for the about Stellaris Invicta Season 2 Templin Institute because i don't know how to classified this (sorry for the bad english): 1. an overview of all empire or important empire in the series, maybe even some of their cities, systems, fleets, person of interest,... 2. an honorable mention of all empire that were good but didn't make the cut or some of the team personal favourite ( not necessarly have to be in the actual series ) 3. an extra round of writing submission to the people whose empire were picked (either in the actual series or the picked 100), they can write idea about their empire cities, systems, fleets, person of interest,... or even add additional lore to the Antares confederacy or the chosen empire in general though i don't know how to exactly organize that Of course, the team have all right to chose which on to make a video about, but i think this will even increase viewer participation even more, I just hope that you don't make this patreon exclusive because that just bad, and at best their will be only 100 submission at best ( though probally not all will join) so it not that bad.

The writing of both seasons of Invicta is SO good. So many times I find myself tearing up out of pride, fury, indignation, joy, and shock.
The standard of the United Terran Protectorate.
I haven't let out an audible Oh shit, in years 🤣
Good for closing 2020... Wait till the protector come next year
The ending was so good, but I was silently hoping the other human nation would be the Greater Terran Union.
If it’s the GTU, game over. The rest of the galaxy better bend the knee or grab the ankles.
i dont want to imagine a totalrian facist regime would be facing off a democractic parlimentary regime., Its like UNE versus commonwealth of man in stellaris cannon
@@Operator214MerchantMarine the UTP is like the GTU but significantly more technocratic and Cautious.
The GTU is basically the Turian Hierarchy but human.
It's happening! Forward Antares!
"Hello cousins. Long have we wondered at your fate. Now that we are met, BEND THE KNEE."
Forward Antares!
Someone should turn this in a tv series! This will definitely become the new hit space series it has a more fresh take on the space genre in my opinion.
Soooo all this time the united terran Protectorates video...was what happened to earth........MINDBLOWING
I cannot wait another month to hear about this!
Give them hell for earth
Is this going to be about the Twitch Stream?
And about the confedarcy's Best friends Spiritual *Rock people* ?! and the -spoilers- shocking discovery about the humanity?!
Holy shit, I was SO hyped for this, and you guys did not disappoint!
Antares Confederacy: *Intervenes with Vrul Society*
US: That's my boy!
United Terran Protectorates: *enters the hall*
Antares diplomate: *faints*
The Terran protectorate- looks ať the fainted diplomat: Also faints
Everyone else: *super confused why one species gets two votes*
I think the UTP diplomats would be more confused. Antares knew Earth was out there, but the UTP had long since considered the colonists dead.
@@valloarukaevu2846 That's going to be hard to explain...
Its so cool how you fill in the gaps, that Stellaris leaves open
Antares stands together, we will not fear the Salvation League!
I keep coming back to this series from time to time... It is such an awesome story!
"SALVATION! ONE MILLION LIVES FOR TEN MILLION!"
guess nobody's would ruin someone's crisp white sheets this time!
Stellaris Invicta is easily the best game-related series I have ever seen. I love how well you all craft the lore. Keep up the amazing work!
19:05 Daaaaaaammmnnnn now its getting real interesting!
I swear every time I watch a Templin video it gives me chills.
16:22 Saladin went to space!! YAAY!!!!
Purge the infidels
This is already turning out to be an EXCELLENT series!! 10/10!
Stellaris Invicta is like beef jerky once you get a taste you want more. now i have to re-watch season 1 to satisfy my Stellaris Invicta craving.
Now that’s an ending. Solid set up for a season 1-style showdown for the future of humanity.
Forward Antares!

His manebimus optime!
I am so very proud to support amazing work like this from the Templin Institute. Thank you for an amazing story and fun play-throughs!
The world building in this series. Honestly some of the best I've ever heard from most big franchises. These videos are fantastic
The Confederacy needs a single confederate military with a structured command, unified organization, and doctrine.
It's a miracle that they won against the Vrul.
@@ZephLodwick exactly. Changes need to be made for the countinued survival and stability of the Confederacy.
Direct rule from Sagallo!
@@gwest3644 Maybe not direct rule from the Capital but a more unified military.
A centralized military would certainly be a boon for Antares.
YES! WE HAVE THE MAP BACK!
Oh man, the second the galactic Community was mentioned I knew how this episode would end but holy shit it still gave me chills!
This is incredible! The storytelling and artwork are perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing how the series progresses. Keep up the amazing work!
This is incredible! It really adds so much more to the entire story and game itself.
I legit had goosebumps when he said United Terran Protectorates
Seeing the comments, the news, and everything around this project I should watch those livestreams. They seem like utter chaos.
HERE WE WILL PROSPER. Forward, Antares!
i like how the antares views the galaxy with wonder, vastly different from how the GTU viewed the galaxy. keep em coming!
I love the sort of revolutionary spirit we can see in the Confederacy. I’m really excited to learn more about this world!
This is by far the best series and it just keeps getting better!!! Can’t wait for the next episode of invicta and skylines!!!
freaking loved this series, The Liberation of Torix got me on the edge of my seat and that ending too. can't wait for the next episode
14:15
Also training up the remainder of their forces.
Good to see you've embraced your true self
-Unknown interdimensional GPU citizen
It's so cool how you condensed all those livestreams in such an epic narration! Keep up the great work!
The beginning preparations for
The Great Struggle!
Has begun.
Antares ambassador: We found earth!, what the hell is this heresy to freedom?
That was a brilliant video, very happy season 2 is finally here. Keep up the great work!
You guys are magical. Been sharing your channel with all my friends.

Stellaris Invicta. Gone, but not forgotten O7
A few idea for the about Stellaris Invicta Season 2 Templin Institute because i don't know how to classified this (sorry for the bad english):
1. an overview of all empire or important empire in the series, maybe even some of their cities, systems, fleets, person of interest,...
2. an honorable mention of all empire that were good but didn't make the cut or some of the team personal favourite ( not necessarly have to be in the actual series )
3. an extra round of writing submission to the people whose empire were picked (either in the actual series or the picked 100), they can write idea about their empire cities, systems, fleets, person of interest,... or even add additional lore to the Antares confederacy or the chosen empire in general though i don't know how to exactly organize that Of course, the team have all right to chose which on to make a video about, but i think this will even increase viewer participation even more, I just hope that you don't make this patreon exclusive because that just bad, and at best their will be only 100 submission at best ( though probally not all will join) so it not that bad.
Aliens: You are surrounded. You are trapped.
Humans: You mean that You are trapped here, on this planet, with us.
Aliens: What?
*4.000+ years of constant warfare on Earth*: Bonjour
I've been waiting for season two for so long thanks for the upload can't wait for more!
I love the amount of detail that has gone into describing a planetary invasion which nearly failed.
Series like this is why I stay with Socal Media. Your channel is so creative! :)
Amazing storytelling as always. Absolutely brilliant!!
'single handedly raises participation numbers up'
So our first contact in the galaxy are basically the trolls from Trollslayer...complete with poking via ladle in a 'how do you FUNCTION!?' way.
the fact that there is original art for this series, my god that is SO COOL.
For some reason I can’t stop rewatching this video
