The cloister started a war without consulting humanity, and dragged humanity into it. That’s not something you do to your allies if you want to stay allies
@@addisonwelsh I'm talking about that time Antares rejected an alliance with the Cloister and then immediately went back and begged for it after they got into a war. Which is the exact same thing, dragging the Cloister into a war. It seems it's bad when they do it but no when Antares does it.
@@CruelestChris Uh, that didn’t happen. You can’t ask for an alliance when you’re at war, it’s a game mechanic. What happened was the Cloister proposed a defensive pact to the Confederacy, and the Confederacy rejected it. Then, upon discovering the Vrule, the agreed to the defensive pact as the Vrule were an existential threat to both nations. This is completely different from the Cloister declaring war on the Althorians without consulting them, and dragging them into a war they wanted nothing to do with.

Anyway, I hope Antares will enjoy this period of good feelings while it lasts, because the aliens over there and the Terran Protectorates are going to show up on the Antares borders sooner than they would've liked and then, all hell will break loose...
time for a second rewatch before the streaming
Well, aren’t you just being a MASSIVE tease, over the UTP?! 😜
*"HOLLOW ARE THE ORI!"*
-Terran Protectorate Priest
I mean their master and themselves are both quite Materialistic.
Hallowed
5:43 Anyone else notice it says Anthorian yet he says Althorian?
Ok, is it Althorian or Anthorian?
Alternative episode title: When Good Neighbors become Good Friends.
I am way behind because I don’t watch the streams the day of and you guys don’t upload them to Templin Archives.
The Templin institute should write books on their work.
What would be more awesome is if there was a civilization that utilized it's home sun for energy like a Kardhashev civilization
"Man, this alliance was great until they expected us to do things." :(
The cloister started a war without consulting humanity, and dragged humanity into it. That’s not something you do to your allies if you want to stay allies
@@addisonwelsh
As opposed to humans deciding they only wanted to be allies when a war started, which _totally_ isn't dragging the Cloister into a war?
@@CruelestChris No, no it isn’t, because humanity didn’t start the war. The e Cloister did
@@addisonwelsh
I'm talking about that time Antares rejected an alliance with the Cloister and then immediately went back and begged for it after they got into a war.
Forward Antares! Strike the Iron!
Wait what happened to Earth and why did the Antares Confederacy try to keep it a secret???
They were indentured as a vassal state to an alien empire.
Antares originally human has become a nation for all seeking abetter life.
Goddam it's soooooooooo goooooooooooood!
Honestly it's sort of disappointing that Earth is a subject of the Materalists Fallen Empire. If they were owned by the Spiritualist or the Xenophobic ones (I think that the latter can happen) then their backstory would really help with the lore. I know that the Materialists ask for one of your finest minds at one point but it's a lot less terrifying than the alternatives and it would be neat of the Antares Confed and Earth eventually got to be friends without conquest
FOR THE CONFEDERACY
7:30 a xeno ruler... well that escalated quickly
At first a xenophilic democratic human state disgusted me.. but now I understand why people choose Antares.
It's a beacon of hope and prosperity in a war ridden galaxy.
Come to us tired souls dwelling in the cruelest spirals of the galaxy.
We shall protect you and your brethren shall protect those yet to come.
