@@aoki6332 That's an interesting theory which I hadn't heard before. It was actually conceived by a French sculptor (Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, and the framework was designed by Gustave Eiffel, of Eiffel Tower fame) as a gift to the United States honoring the long friendship between the US and France that began when the French helped the Americans throw off the tyranny of Great Britain. Shortly thereafter, France underwent a revolution that also sought (at least initially) to throw off the tyranny of monarchy, and even though the first French republic did not last, both nations have shared a long connection stemming from that rendered initial aid and the mutual pursuit of freedom. The Statute of Liberty is meant to be a representation of that, and it is intended to embody the personification of liberty, in a neoclassical style, so it does bear some resemblance to Greek sculpting and ancient dress (although I think it's supposed to be more Greek than Egyptian). I think for many Americans the statue and its accompanying poem symbolize the oft-repeated notion, echoed by Pyreleaf above, that America is not so much a country as it is an idea, and although the nation of the USA might fall short of that lofty vision, the ideals are something for humanity to strive for.

The Liberty Statue scene made me a patrotic american, although I have never set foot on the shore of the US.
The Antares Confederacy reminds me the Alliance from Jack Campbell's Lost Fleet after their one century long war. Every system is bankrupt ( and that's the term for the wealthiest) and therefore they're quite reluctant to remain in the Alliance. They want either to quit the it either to reduce their contribution to the military. Consequently, the government struggles to preserve the cohesion of the Alliance and drastically reduces the budget to the military. However, the foreign ennemy now has exploded in hundreds of "petty" warlords that want their own empire, and the Alliance litteraly can't afford enough fuel to move their fleet to protect the borders.
While it can't be part of this season my head cannon is that from another dimension a group of ships join Antares to liberate a version of thier capital world. They are known as VVS-989 Ryan's Raiders.

It's only in this video do I truly understand the destruction of the Collaborators. They didn't just destroy cities, kill the vulnerable and enslave Earth; they stole humanity's history. All of its nuance, stories and lesson have been edited for sake of a dictator's control. So many things we learned and could've learned are lost. All that is left is with Antares and that might be a fragment of what's lost. Down with the Collaborators!
If you want to break a people, take away their history and give them a fabrication that guides them in the desired way. Every communist and fascist regime (as well as every other sort of totalitarian regime) in history has understood and implemented this.
The Human Collaborators as well?

And hear their Death Knell Ringing;
When friends rejoice both far and near,

When friends by shame are undefiled
How can I keep from singing?"
--Fragment from ancient Terran "Shaker" song "How can I Keep from Singing?"

That epilogue was actually quite moving, showing some excellent writing and great craft.

Best writing episode..... For now
Liberty stands for Freedom (FPA anthem). The Antares Conderacy is one of the sci fi government I love the most because it reminds me of the Free Planet Alliance in LoGH, at least what the FPA should have been.
Meanwhile:
Antares: "Noooo, you can't just make the borders around you an absolute mess!"
Cloister: "Hahaha, Balkanization go brrr."
You sir deserve a medal I think this is the only comment about the cloister past episode 2
The Cloister are honestly the smarter of the Two.

While it can't be part of this season my head cannon is that from another dimension a group of ships join Antares to liberate a version of thier capital world. They are known as VVS-989 Ryan's Raiders.
My headcanon is that the Stuff about the UTP and the Screk is partially fabricated Propaganda
@@vincegalila7211 what part?

And really the Idea that the UTP has Fought with more two Polity's (they've only warred with the Thimodian Republic and the Dar-Hesh Pact (Hegemony including the Commerce League (Galactic Council member) Tavurite Empire (weird sounding battle hungry bird rock's that are also the Largest Alien population in the Confederacy*) and the Dar-Hesh (Hegemony bosses they look like Zombies). Not gonna lie, I love 40k and the last Invicta series. Evil empires being the 'good guys' just cause everyone else is even worse is an interesting concept. But it is a breath of fresh air to have the good guys genuinely be good.
FREEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Evil must be opposed.
"I have studied the histories of a thousand worlds, of a thousand peoples. My people the Anoran, Humans, Anthorians, Cloister, and even the scattered messy fragments of the Baanthurians and I have come to sad conclusion. Tyranny is eternal. So as long as there is a single dark desire in the hearts of people there will always be those who wish to dominate at the expense of others. But in the same vein Liberty to is eternal. For as so long there is good in people, there will always be those who are opposed evil. The Screk have either forgotten this lesson or they have refused to learn it. But they will learn soon enough. A reckoning is coming for the Screk, one that is long over due. Every crime they have committed, every evil thing they have done, every life they have taken and every world they have shackled to their rule, it shall all be repaid a hundred and then a thousand times over. They will learn that Liberty is more than just an idea or belief. It is a force of nature a fundamental truth of the universe. Tyranny may be eternal but so is Liberty. It shall not and cannot die. But the Screk are not, their empire can die . And we shall be their Executioners. Forwards Antares."

@@iankaranikos I dare you to name a major nation state that wasn't. Portugal, Spain, France, Britain, need I continue? China, Greece, to an extent Australia, need I continue!? Legally, everyone has the same rights, it's actually on a man-to-man level if those rights are respected.
Well, I see the only similarity to America in that it accepts refugees, which is something that America lately stopped doing. Apart from that, I don't see Antares Confederacy starting wars on the other side of Galaxy in pursuit of resources, doesn't support dictatorships in other empires, because it would benefit them and living in AC is not hell, so I would say that space America it isn't ...
