(Obviously if one has upgraded past stock, they would have educated themselves up to that point). Keep up the good work!

Looks great, coming from the drone world. You can chuck some hit shrink tubinb over the top, zap it and your good to go with some extra protection instead of a receiver box. I've hit the ground at over 100kmh and escs are fine!
At this time they are saying the esc will be priced around $48 and include waterproofing and a case!! This could change between now and release but it sounds really good!

Okay dang dude! I really like the slow speed option, but I have to say, for me, silence is gold. I would never buy an outrunner due to the UFO sound, which IMO is absolutely terrible. NOW I will buy an outrunner. I like to hear the gears, and the tires on the rock, that's it. Right on man, thank you! Oh hey, you've gotten really good with your rear wheel steer skills.
Lol I appreciate it. I know the silencing of the outrunner will be a game changer for many! It never bothered me too bad but I’m like you.... I do love to hear those tires on the rocks. Even if it’s grout covered foam rocks 😆
I've been a dedicated 1:10 scale guy for a good long time and the Revolver motors are loud, too. However, I recently discovered that that is due to them being run directly off the ESC. If you run the motors on a BEC, they become silent!! Seeing this ESC achieve that goal without use of a BEC is a beautiful thing to behold. Now Furitech needs to address that for the 1:10 market and give us an unparalleled ESC like this!! *drools at the thought......*

Heck yeah. I love to see somebody trustworthy here giving great hands on advice. I got into 1:10 crawlers a couple years ago, (like 4 months pre-covid... Holmes Hobby try to be the best in modulation, but Furitek is kicking the ass in high gear, to many person show how good is the Furitek esc, in my case i want the brushed is really good
Looks like it would drop right into the case from the stock unit. I'm using the bottom half of mine as a tray to set the guts from the stock POS for now. Just stripping weight.

No prob! Take a look at the new Furitek stinger combo. It’s a micro Komodo brushless motor with the Furitek lizard pro esc. Insanely smooth and lightweight!

Yea, the app is on your phone or tablet. But you also have to buy the Bluetooth adapter circuitboard thing. your phone or tablet then connects wirelessly to the circuitboard to mess with the settings in the app and/or view your data You controller will still be what you drive the truck with, the phone app just adjusts the settings and allows you to see the data
It will work with whatever transmitter as long as you have this esc. The stock esc don’t have anywhere to plug the Bluetooth dongle in and I’m sure it’s not Bluetooth compatible.
Great video 👍. I got an scx24 9 day ago and after 5 my motor burned out 😩 that crawler was great while it lasted but while filming a video I burned out my est 😩 I got to say out of the box not a great experience!!! That said I wonder if my receiver still works but my est is burned by adding this fury ESC would it work???
Not sure but I would think it may. If you get the Furitek and it don’t work then you can just do away with the stock setup and run a different receiver and you’ll be good. Not sure if you have another transmitter and receiver but if not I’d rather pay $70 for the flysky gt5 than buy a new stock setup lol

18:00 min mark I run it with the barrage which is brushed. I have an install video on a completely stock truck that shows it with the stock brushed motor. Those are about the only brushed motors I’ve ever ran in these trucks. No point in them anymore with this esc. You can basically run any brushless motor and make it smooth. And yeah I used the castle link with the micro sidewinder. It’s a really good esc as well. Still nowhere near as good as this Furitek though.
@@2fmrc Ah i did not see a time stamps for when the brushed motors where on for the video so took a guess it was only for brushless motors. also waiting for HH 280 outrunner motor to be out to see the difference between all these tiny motors before i decide to go brushless.

Will the esc work with the hand controller that comes with the truck ? Or is a new hand controller needed ? The throttle control is amazing with that esc, the lack of noise alone is really nice.

I have an rgt adventurer v1. It's basically a barrage I think I've heard. What motor are you using that you refer to as the surpass brand motor. I bought my rig used and it really bogs down and stalls when crawling. It also is not linear at all. Truck is a great performer according to everyone so I think my esc is crap and I want to upgrade. Brushless would be awesome but really I just want great low speed control etc. Thanks for info in advance
The motor is the surpass 2204 outrunner motor for a drone or heli but can be used in the scx24 with the proper motor mount. Not sure if there is a mount available for the RGT or not.

That body is actually off of a little toy truck I found at a loves gas station lol. Kinda hard to come by now. Wal mart had some similar at one time. The wheels are the rc4wd competition beadlocks with Rc4wd mudslinger tires mounted. Hope this helps!
I’ve never used that motor so not really sure on it. The pinion for this is really hard to come by atm. Best place to get one for now is eBay. I have a video titled scx24 brushless motor and esc install, how to mount the surpass motor. Definitely check it out as that will probably be a lot of help. The motor itself is the surpass 2204 motor. You also need several other things including the motor mount,pinion and spur gear setup etc so check the description of the video for links to everything needed. Hey you are my new best friend lol . Seriously I have a question on the esc . Does it work with the stock receiver slash speed control. Or does it replace it and still work with the stock radio? And I have already purchased the longer more torque upgrade brushed motor . But later want to go brushless. And run 3s . Please when you have the chance , explain it to me in detail . Awesome! So you can definitely just use the Furitek esc with the stock setup so it’ll be added onto the stock esc/receiver setup. You’ll plug the wire from the Furitek into the ch.2 port on the stock esc/receiver and it’ll work with the stock radio so it sort of works in conjunction with the stock setup. It basically bypasses the stock esc and uses only the receiver portion of it since the stock system is an all in one esc/receiver. You can use it without the stock system with something like your spektrum setup (I do this with several of mine) but you’ll need another receiver like you said. I would probably recommend getting the Furitek from amainhobbies since it’s in the US and it’s basically the same price everywhere that I know of. I can also get you a link for it and it’ll help out the channel since I’m an affiliate with them and it cost you nothing extra! Just let me know if you wanna get it from amain and I’ll definitely get ya a link. Definitely keep me updated and let me know if you have any other questions on it! I just plugged 3s into mine because I’ve had a lot of questions about that. It ran fine. Low throttle was still great but when I gave it full throttle it started cogging bad and had issues. Not sure if it can be worked around with the settings in the app or not. I’m going to try testing it some more when I have time.

It’s smooth all the way through. Probably me hammering the throttle lol. Plus you can adjust the throttle curve to whatever you want so it can definitely be smooth as you want all the way through the throttle. I hope you’re correct about availability on stuff. I’m tired of all the backordered parts 🤦🏻♂️
I prefer the treal wheels myself now. They are the easiest to mount up and I’ve had no issues with the hex sticking in them (rc4wd steel wheels are horrible about this) or any other issues honestly. And they look awesome! Just hard to find sometimes.
I’ll have to measure to be sure but I think mine are 12mm x 3mm rare earth magnets. I also have some smaller ones from harbor freight that I use for some things.
Great videos, I recently received mine, running surpass as well but having a hard time with cogging/stuttering. Tried adjusting parameters but only got worse. Any ideas suggestions? Really bummed Ii’s not working for me. Running on default settings currently.
Really all you can do is make sure you’re firmware is updated and recalibrate the throttle etc. If that don’t work I’d contact Furitek. They’ll take care of it for ya. At least they’ve been really good about it so far from what I’ve heard.

I got Lizard pro, set to brushed setup. Motor sputters. App intermittent connection. Firmware 2.6 has no drag brake. Garbage. It may work better brushless but not impressed by furitek right now.
Never had any issues with brushed but sometimes you have to reinstall the firmware or calibrate the throttle. Try going back to the previous firmware. If that don’t help then reinstall the latest. If neither works I’d message them. They’ll replace it.

Yea, the app is on your phone or tablet. But you also have to buy the Bluetooth adapter circuitboard thing. your phone or tablet then connects wirelessly to the circuitboard to mess with the settings in the app and/or view your data
You controller will still be what you drive the truck with, the phone app just adjusts the settings and allows you to see the data
It will work with whatever transmitter as long as you have this esc. The stock esc don’t have anywhere to plug the Bluetooth dongle in and I’m sure it’s not Bluetooth compatible.

I got an scx24 9 day ago and after 5 my motor burned out 😩 that crawler was great while it lasted but while filming a video I burned out my est 😩 I got to say out of the box not a great experience!!! That said I wonder if my receiver still works but my est is burned by adding this fury ESC would it work???
Not sure but I would think it may. If you get the Furitek and it don’t work then you can just do away with the stock setup and run a different receiver and you’ll be good. Not sure if you have another transmitter and receiver but if not I’d rather pay $70 for the flysky gt5 than buy a new stock setup lol

what about a demo on Brushed motors? Have you used a castle link for set up on that system as it has been around for a while.
18:00 min mark I run it with the barrage which is brushed. I have an install video on a completely stock truck that shows it with the stock brushed motor. Those are about the only brushed motors I’ve ever ran in these trucks. No point in them anymore with this esc. You can basically run any brushless motor and make it smooth. And yeah I used the castle link with the micro sidewinder. It’s a really good esc as well. Still nowhere near as good as this Furitek though.
@@2fmrc Ah i did not see a time stamps for when the brushed motors where on for the video so took a guess it was only for brushless motors. also waiting for HH 280 outrunner motor to be out to see the difference between all these tiny motors before i decide to go brushless.

Will the esc work with the hand controller that comes with the truck ? Or is a new hand controller needed ? The throttle control is amazing with that esc, the lack of noise alone is really nice.
Yes you can plug it into the channel 2 port on the stock esc/receiver and use it with the stock remote.

I have an rgt adventurer v1. It's basically a barrage I think I've heard. What motor are you using that you refer to as the surpass brand motor. I bought my rig used and it really bogs down and stalls when crawling. It also is not linear at all. Truck is a great performer according to everyone so I think my esc is crap and I want to upgrade. Brushless would be awesome but really I just want great low speed control etc. Thanks for info in advance
The motor is the surpass 2204 outrunner motor for a drone or heli but can be used in the scx24 with the proper motor mount. Not sure if there is a mount available for the RGT or not.

Haha! Mine has the stock mount that’s been cut also. The Emax mount from hot racing works well with it.

It’s called conformal coating. There are tons of videos on RUclips about it. Seems to work really well!

That body is actually off of a little toy truck I found at a loves gas station lol. Kinda hard to come by now. Wal mart had some similar at one time. The wheels are the rc4wd competition beadlocks with Rc4wd mudslinger tires mounted. Hope this helps!

I’ve never used that motor so not really sure on it. The pinion for this is really hard to come by atm. Best place to get one for now is eBay. Takes awhile to get it but it’s the only one I know of that’s in stock for now.

I’m new to rc I just got my first rc ever and was needing some help finding the motor you are using and or some advice on what I should do to upgrade.
I have a video titled scx24 brushless motor and esc install, how to mount the surpass motor. Definitely check it out as that will probably be a lot of help. The motor itself is the surpass 2204 motor. You also need several other things including the motor mount,pinion and spur gear setup etc so check the description of the video for links to everything needed. Hey you are my new best friend lol . Seriously I have a question on the esc . Does it work with the stock receiver slash speed control. Or does it replace it and still work with the stock radio? And I have already purchased the longer more torque upgrade brushed motor . But later want to go brushless. And run 3s . Please when you have the chance , explain it to me in detail . And if I need to purchase anything else besides the esc to make it work . I found it at amain hobby for like $59 if you know where I can get it cheaper please let me know . Thank you sir . Awesome! So you can definitely just use the Furitek esc with the stock setup so it’ll be added onto the stock esc/receiver setup. You’ll plug the wire from the Furitek into the ch.2 port on the stock esc/receiver and it’ll work with the stock radio so it sort of works in conjunction with the stock setup. It basically bypasses the stock esc and uses only the receiver portion of it since the stock system is an all in one esc/receiver. You can use it without the stock system with something like your spektrum setup (I do this with several of mine) but you’ll need another receiver like you said. I would probably recommend getting the Furitek from amainhobbies since it’s in the US and it’s basically the same price everywhere that I know of. I can also get you a link for it and it’ll help out the channel since I’m an affiliate with them and it cost you nothing extra! Just let me know if you wanna get it from amain and I’ll definitely get ya a link. Definitely keep me updated and let me know if you have any other questions on it! Hi, will it run on 3S? Thats probably the best esc out there for the little guys.
I just plugged 3s into mine because I’ve had a lot of questions about that. It ran fine. Low throttle was still great but when I gave it full throttle it started cogging bad and had issues. Not sure if it can be worked around with the settings in the app or not. I’m going to try testing it some more when I have time.

Did you ever see alka motors esc firmware? You can get the same results with using a ten dollar esc.

It’s smooth all the way through. Probably me hammering the throttle lol. Plus you can adjust the throttle curve to whatever you want so it can definitely be smooth as you want all the way through the throttle. I hope you’re correct about availability on stuff. I’m tired of all the backordered parts 🤦🏻♂️

I am currently looking for some good bead lock wheels and tires. I was wondering if you had any recommendations
I prefer the treal wheels myself now. They are the easiest to mount up and I’ve had no issues with the hex sticking in them (rc4wd steel wheels are horrible about this) or any other issues honestly. And they look awesome! Just hard to find sometimes.
What size Magnets are you using I have some with the hole in the center but they are too big
I’ll have to measure to be sure but I think mine are 12mm x 3mm rare earth magnets. I also have some smaller ones from harbor freight that I use for some things.

Great videos, I recently received mine, running surpass as well but having a hard time with cogging/stuttering. Tried adjusting parameters but only got worse. Any ideas suggestions? Really bummed Ii’s not working for me. Running on default settings currently.
Really all you can do is make sure you’re firmware is updated and recalibrate the throttle etc. If that don’t work I’d contact Furitek. They’ll take care of it for ya. At least they’ve been really good about it so far from what I’ve heard.

I got Lizard pro, set to brushed setup. Motor sputters. App intermittent connection. Firmware 2.6 has no drag brake. Garbage. It may work better brushless but not impressed by furitek right now.
Never had any issues with brushed but sometimes you have to reinstall the firmware or calibrate the throttle. Try going back to the previous firmware. If that don’t help then reinstall the latest. If neither works I’d message them. They’ll replace it.
