Thanks for posting all this stuff, I’m new to the hobby and your channel has helped me get the most out of my rigs! Definitely the best rc channel I’ve came across, keep ‘em coming brother!
Some really good information, and awesome comparisons! Thanks for going to all the trouble to test these out, I was curious how they would perform. They seem pretty solid! Another great video Adam, thanks again for your time! Take care!!!
Great video! Got to add, the monstertruck has bigger wheels, thats why its faster than the others. Youd have to make the speedruns and torque tests on the same wheels!
I just ordered one each of the fifties. One for a Gladiator and one for a Deadbolt. I did a LOT of research. These seem to fill the need. I like that you compared them to the Injura motors. There is a lot of info on Injura so that makes a good base of comparison. The pricing from LGRP seems very reasonable. Your channel is really good. I am enjoying it a lot. Thanks.
I was not expecting one of the higher turn motors, specifically the little rocket motor to beat the 50 turns. In terms of speed I thought the lower the tern The higher the speed but the lower the low end torque and low in control thanks for this video, it really helped a lot with my decision making
Mate! crushing it with the consistent reviews. Thanks for all the hard work editing this. I will definitely be upgrading my RC Fungi C10 with a new powerplant soon, this will be very helpful info.👍
Great video's, I would have liked to see the motors all in the same rig, that is really the most accurate test. Also the 50t motors benefit greatly from the V2 ESC in the newer SCX24's.
Thanks! And yes, you’re right about equating the rig to get the most accurate tests. The esc comment makes sense because I feel like the Injora pro 50 does better than the LGRP 50t in the deadbolt. That would explain why.
There are many other great channels out there but I would have to agree with you that cape crawlers is the best. The way the material is presented and explained is top notch. Very entertaining and captivates my attention with great comparison between products. Keep up the great work
The races with the little rocket, the monster truck may be faster because the tires are massive, each single revolution of the wheel hub is going to go the diameter of that wheel, which on the monster truck is much larger
Thanks for the cool test. you need to try out the new torqueBeast 3.0 version as well as the Mofo Buzzsaw. Hit me up and I'll send you a couple to test out.
In the case of the little rocket do not forget tire size those monster truck tires are going to carry that truck a greater distance for every rotation than the stock deadbolt tires
Just installed some lgrp reaper motors in my bronco and gladiator. Had a little issues setting gear mesh on the bronco for some reason. Didn’t have enough adjustment in the motor mounting holes to set gear mesh properly so had to do some grinding on the motor plate. But once done they do have more torque and are smoother than the stick motor. It really helped out the much heavier hard top body bronco. Good purchase and thanks for posting this.
Even if the manufacturers are the same or similar, LGRP probably has had their motors tweaked slightly to their taste. I just got the 66T from Injora as a replacement for my stock, and now I’m considering getting the LGRP version as a backup.
Thanks for this video. Exactly what I needed to see.Just ordered two reaper 050 66t motors. My stock motors are wearing out as I add more weight to them.
Got a question..is it normal for reverse on these scx24s to be super slow?...also does upgrading these motors make it much faster?..thanks man...love your contribution to the rc world
Another awesome video! I just picked a few SCX24 and can wait to get some serious 'flexing' going on! Can you for me a amazon link on which tool kit or specific tools you would recommend for working on these 1/24 scale RC. I'm ready to start buying parts and upgrading!! I was suprized to see plastic gears on them. I’m just getting my feet wet with RCs again, I initially want a well rounded trail / crawler leaning more towards the crawler aspect. Still trying to fight “analysis paralysis” with the options I want to build in on a budget. IE: rear steer/2 speed transmission/ dig modes / portals. Rear steer looks like a win, 2 speed trans would make it more fun on trails, dig mode would make it under powered and painfully slow, portals are cool, but big tires can give you the same benefit plus more tire on the ground. My current RC is a power wheels type Jeep with a stereo for my daughter with special needs. She loves that thing, and is always digging around under the hood.
There are so many options out in the market now that it’s very easy to get bogged down in the decision making process! Mofo RC makes a great brushed motor with pressed on metal gears. Also carbon brushes if you’re concerned about longevity. Rear steer and big tires would make a huge difference. Portals are great but it’s a lot of mechanics stuffed under these little trucks. I love them on the gladiator but haven’t felt the need for them on other rigs
Bro dig your videos. I still do mods on all rc cars/trucks, with speed runs to get a little better speed run I try to run all my vehicles with same tire diameter. Bro keep up the great vid's 🤙
Thanks for watching! I just run them. I believe they should experience a couple of heat cycles before being run at full throttle for an extended period of time, but for what I do with them (low speed crawling) they don't take a lot of stress I don't feel.
Great video! One thing that would be helpful is to have a small bit of text on screen that shows the comparison variable you currently are testing. For example when you are testing the 88T motor, just a small text in the corner of the screen saying so would allow for someone who missed what you said or forgot which one you were testing to not have to skip back and find out. Not a big deal most of the time, but when you are comparing this many variables, would be helpful to the viewer. Love your videos!
@@CapeCrawlers yep! For the duration of that test, having a little blurb that says what is being tested for the duration of the test would make remembering easier and would allow you to scrub through the video and find the section easily as well. You do a good job of putting chapters in the comments, but given the detail you have gone into for each section, it can be easy to forget exactly which motor was installed in which truck.
Also, if I understand correctly, putting the time stamps in the description rather than the comments will actually segment the video into chapters which would be additional help
Hey Adam, those red anodized beadlock wheels on the red deadbolt, are the ones I was asking you about in a previous comment. I was in a quandry as to what size those little screws are all the way around the bead ring, and I believe there's six slightly longer screws that go in the center of the wheel. Are they 1.3 mm, or 1.5 mm? I know you said both sizes, I just want to clarify, and double check, thank you so much for your time, I do appreciate it.
28:24 I was the one who commented that they look like rebranded injora motors on IG. I was hoping you would stretch out the motor wires to see if they were also the same length. I'd buy lgrp motors because it comes with black motor plates, i didn't like injoras red and purple colors. But i dont think they are 3s lipo compatible. Only Furitek chameleon motor is 3s compatible. Thank you for the video, cant wait for the mofo torque beast 3.0 and buzzsaw motor tests.
You weren’t the only one who asked about the Injora comparison, there were several folks who asked the same question. I can look at the wires today and tell you if they’re the same length. I’m a big fan of the torque beasts. Very excited to get my hands on that range of motors!
The injora 50t is 3s compatible if you are running a lizard pro and I believe with the iguana as well. So I would assume the lgrp would be as well. TexomaRC runs that setup as does my uncle with no problems
@@hbrc3867 That's good info! I am always reluctant to try 3S on brushed motors. I just learned last night that the V1 stock ESC can handle 3S. So in theory you could have a V1 setup with one of these 50T brushed motors and run 3S without issue. I havent tested that though!
I hope we see more crossovers from the bigger scales. I think it will happen slowly. The 1/24 community is gaining momentum so I expect more companies will offer smaller scale parts soon

Love the video. I have one question. are the tires on the the c10 about the same size as the trail kings? and could i use trail kings on my c10 and still have it look scale?
Thanks! The tires on the c10 are about the same width as the trail kings but a bit shorter. I think you would lose the scale appearance with the trail kings. They are HUGE
How good is this motor and, is it any better than the Injora 050/50t? Thanks in advance. I know you did the comparison but how about after the running it for a while how do you like it.
My favorite of the LGRP motors is the 66t reaper. I like it more than the predator. The 50t LGRP feels like it has a big flat spot in the early stages throttle. The Injora snaps harder off the bottom. The reaper 66t seems to be a really good balance of torque, smoothness, and speed.
