absolutely killer video! this was such a fun one to watch, i love how differently each rig reacts to all the courses. for whatever reason i am drawn to the trx4m platform but you really cannot dismiss how versatile and capable any type of scx24 build is. it's incredible how much size and parts selection can make or break a course layout. that 24 comp build completly dominated! it was probably the cheapest to build too! what people tend to forget about these trucks is you don't have to choose this or that, just get them all and build them how you want! when i have a "crawler day" i bring everything, that's the fun part about this hobby is you can see how well all your rigs do. on a side note i am having good success with my trx4m rear steer project and i finished my indoor course as well. you've definitly ignited my passion for these little nuggets

Very good video ! Thank you ! I love my TRX4M F-150, no modifications. I would love to try the Axial I removed the bumbers and the roll bar. I love your indoor track ! I would love to try the Axial now :)
even with upgrades the trx4m is better simply because of its scale, you are able to fit far more powerful motors and wheels to it, it is probably still heavier even with the carbon fibre chassis, keeping it planted. 1/18th and 1/24th may not seem like a gigantic diference visually but in terms of performance it is pretty huge.
U got me to buy a axial bronco for the upgrades… my buddy got me a hoss and and trx4 defender on the way but after seeing this I couldn’t resist something for my son to compete with me lol thanks!
Can't go wrong either way! The Traxxas is fun because it's something new and different but the SCX24 is so rewarding because of the transformation it makes.
The Trx4m is 1/18 because of the body, the frame is similar in length to mini Gladiator, and if put over the chassis mini Gladiator you will se both have the same scale. The scale is different because of the body nothing else. In my case I buy the mini Capra the last Friday, where I go I don't need to make to many change, they climb really well and I have more options because the 1/10 shocks and links share some similar, now the first upgrade will be tires and I will using redcat beadlock, they add weight not to much, but will increase mass rotation not to much
I agree the TRX4m is quite finicky with mods. I tried and failed time after time to stop the shocks from binding and causing body lift and imbalance. I don’t dare touch my current setup because it sits at stock height but has all the flex I need without major mods to the servo mount or springs. Only things I may add are more brass and a motor from Holmes Hobbies.
@@CapeCrawlers Stock in front, Losi Mini T with SCX24 internal springs in the rear and ScaleRCs shock keys. I did notice the upper connecting rods interfere with the steering servo, restricting the front suspension travel. Dremel helped with that.

Crawler cave.. I should put up a sign that says that over my basement course!
Bro you got a brother or someone who lives in st. George??
Not that I know of! Do I have a lookalike there?
@@CapeCrawlers Yessir, it’s like a one to one. He is the nicest guy I know. Thank you for everything you do. Love your videos !!
NIce.
Scx24 bronco looked a lot better to me, seems axial made a better grill. I also don't like companies like Traxxas, reminds of the Apple of RCs...
Hint: a heavily modified bronco wins
Spoiler alert! 🤣
Their really isnt much difference between a scx24 and trx4m just the trx4m has a bigger skidplate trans and motor
