The Meus iso axles are pretty dam sweet my faves as well ! Grats on 1K! Question: planning a build with cheat code v2 and super 8s. Can I use a mix of c10 front and deadbolt rear injora links or do I need to get custom links for those axles?
Thanks! I'm not sure off the top of my head, I'd have to be sitting there messing with it. I would guess if they are the injora links that have threaded ends it might work because you could rotate them a bit as needed for adjustments. Again, I have no idea though
I got an axle question. New to the 24th scale side of things. My scx24 rear axle when it's not installed seems to bind. I try to spun the wheels, but no movement. But when I spin the out put shaft, it spins the wheels smoothly. I put better rubber Orings on each side of the worm gear shafts to limit movement, and the wheels still won't free spin. Is that normal. The front axle when it's off the rig, I can spin the wheels no prob.
Yo dude, love your approach to your video's 😎👍I am quite new to this 24 scale crawler game. My first set of axles was the Meus isokinetic one's you feature at the end😎👍since seeing my new rig, my son has been really wanting a similar rig, now, before I managed to discover this awesome video you posted, I bought a set of OGRC axles for my son's rig, they boasted a 43° full lock angle on the steering (with CVD's to make this huge angle work), overdrive on the front axle etc etc..... when I received the axles, firstly the part on the front axle that mates to the centre shaft won't fit (it's much too big) then secondly it would seem that the actual joint on the CVD's won't actually fit in the given space between the C knuckle and the end of the axle, then thirdly the steering link is that tight that I'm not sure it would reach that massive steering angle without damaging the servo, so they are pretty much scrap in my eyes...... since my discovery on how poor these OGRC axles actually are, I ordered my boy a set of Meus racing isokinetic axles for his rig. These OGRC one's are really pathetic..... I'm wondering, have you had many OGRC parts? How would you rate them? Do you know of any way to fix these things? or am I pissing in the wind? I have asked OGRC for a refund, they don't seem to want to reply to what I've written, lol, it may be worth trying to warm other crawler enthusiasts about these terrible items so nobody else ends up with egg on their faces like I have🤷♂️
In my experience, a lot of the chinese style companies are hit or miss. It seems like 1 out of every 10 products has some type of issue. I havn't had any problems but plenty of other people have. Random stuff missing, bad quality control, etc... Customer service I'm also unsure of. I do have some ogrc axles and I don't have a problem with them
I built a 6x6 meus truck. Nightmare if you use bigger tires. I made a single cab axial power wagon with wood bed. Link mounting options could be better. Mounting plates for electronics could be better
Appreciate the informative video! X15 axles: can use TRX4M weighted knuckles, maybe very minimal adjustment. Also, they should come with 4mm axle nuts to use the same T wrench for your other axles. Does anyone know if X15s will share diff covers with Super 8? Look similar.
I learned the hard way with these meus axles…. The hardware absolutely sucks. They snap off in the link threads. Luckily, they sent me a new front axle. I drilled the threads out and I have them held in with a nut instead of relying on the built-in axle thread. There is a noticeable difference in clearance between these and my little guy racing parts super eights.
