Printing these plates now!
Honestly fellas - let’s chat Injora. In a pinch, their products work and they are not the WORST manufacturer on Amazon for these lil guys. But there is such BETTER quality parts out there and service!
New series idea. Tune my rig
Unrelated....whats the cheapest esc thats decent upgrade for scx24 Basecamp. Trying to keep from spend that brushless level cash
Like the BRAT Put seats in the back instead of those tires💥💥💥

As an Ascent 18 owner and advocate, I can say this was hard to watch this truck underperform bc of that terrible body and tire combo. I run mine with the Evo pro Lizard body and iv never had a clearance issue, hell with some minor trimming you can run 1.8s on the stock body. But I run 68mm djcrawlers on my ascent 18 and it's a little beast. Good video tho.
🎼 "My Rock Wiener has a first name. It's O-S-C-A-R. My Rock Wiener has a second name it's M-A-Y-E-R..........."
As cool as that front steering link style is, I'd be concerned about getting a ding in the main link and it no longer sliding into the sleeve part. That'd be a real piz-off.
I like the lexan Toyota body! ( Minus the body clip!!!) I know everyone gets all creamy about printed these days. But for doing a cool paint job on a comp rig, Lex is the way to go! What was the wheel base? Gladiator?
@@wingnutbert9685 Their comp chassis is a bit longer than gladiator
Why are y’all brushing your teeth in the kitchen? That’s a new one for me. We need answers. Ferwheelstir <3
@@shagam00 Where do you brush your teeth at?!
@ the bathroom! You’re making me question my whole world. I was not prepared for this.
@@shagam00 You gotta be messing with me... you brush your teeth in the same room that you use the toliet and shower??
@@24Yepp i may never recover from this brutal series of revelations.
@@shagam00 Hey thanks for watching 🫡
I'm just now watching this and I love it. Saturday when he drops the v3 I'm gonna snag a chassis and body. But overall sick build. Only thing holding it back was tires and it needing some rubber bands on the shocks for some limit straps.
*takes notes for his redcat* I did the injora transmission that gives the lower speed and over drive and under drive gears with the stock motor and pinion. It seems good for delivering a manageable low speed with stock electronics. My A18 is a mess of treal, injora, crc (i think), meus, and a hacked up stock body with peach and luigi driving/riding. Honestly it might be too heavy and havent been able to really test it on some rocks. Solid grip on the indoor crawler course at En hobbies in columbus though.
If anyone wonders, a meus brass skid plate and an injora transmission won't directly fit. You'll need to choose which you want to dremel stock away from to make a flush fit. I chose the transmission to dremel and made it work.
I've not seen a red cat that I've liked. Maybe the COE car hauler for the looks , but that's about it.
Please someone produce some brass weighted front wheels and leave the rears aluminum.
I can't wait for you to try my A18 and my son's Trx4m. Keep reviewing A18's!! The a18/van body episode you did is what got my kid to want one. Now he's got a Rock Van body.
@@Fathersonwoodmetal awesome!! Thank you guys for watching
I rekon it was really sent for the marks out of ten 😁 unfortunately you didn't show this one 😢 looks awesome, but like everyone says, higher body or smaller wheels, and it will be first class 🤗
The Nissan Frontier hardbody is nice. Definitely needs a little more trimming in the right spots. The key is to definitely check the clearances at every angle. Trim a little bit at a time so you don't trim out too much.
Hahaha I can’t say much I have the injora IR60 body on the Redcat accent 18 and it doesn’t come off without removing screws and it’s mostly injora aswell with stock electronics
I'm about to put a hardbody on two ascent 18's, not sure what yet tho. Awesome video 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘🍻🤘
lol creeper behind the rock 😂
Love that body for my scx24 I built out of spare parts from my other 5 builds 😂 can’t get enough of them
I would add some tubing to the shock shafts to limit the up travel, while keeping all of that delicious droop intact. It would eliminate the tires binding on the body. Other than that, the thing does ok.
I don’t know that this is a Redcat problem, seems like it’s more of a builder problem. Sorry JoRcs.
all the good work he has done is lots on the body fitment ! slow down spend time to get it right before getting Roasted!!!!
Hey dude love the videos! You got me hooked on these scx24's. Was wondering if you could recommend a good affordable chassis for the gladiator. Thanks
@@AP3X_331 Thank you! I need to make a chassis video soon, there are so many options.... mazz designs, northwest athlos, karnage, killr, cl designs, nacho crawlers,
I think this truck would struggle on a gravel driveway
🤣
Off topic, lol, but love the hat bro! Prime choice!
I like the rig. I enjoyed watching the suspension fluctuating, which looked good.
We needed wife’s review. Does look pretty cool
I’ve been thinking, I’ve been building kinda the same thing and gets a little boring, I was thinking what about building something ugly I mean like vehicles made that just didn’t look cool kinda like a unimog or something different and roasting rigs would have a show, shine and performance segment Trey blow our minds I’m confident you will push the envelope 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
That scrub angle is atrocious 🤢
I mean… at least is looks cool…
@@ProjektONE 😄
What’s up boys another awesome video, truck was nice, different yup style is why we are all here. Too be different is what it is all about, a little more time spent on setting the body up would have worked better, another awesome video thanks Trey p.s. would have been cool if your wife gave a rating it was a cool body 👍😎
I want to duplicate this build with a different body. Any one know what the build list is?
Yo can I send you an ascent 18 that’s actually capable lol
How about you name the new line Lizzards Leap. Love your content. I have learned alot watching you videos. I'm about to complete my first build from scratch.
@@coreybrunts1253 thank you!! glad I can help
Well, hello!
Honestly it’s a good build, if you didn’t wanna cut the fenders more, try some smaller tires with some good inserts, you already got portals for the clearance. Nice build mate!!
Prison Mike up in here!
I have that body on a stock trx4m and it’s mint I don’t have the rubbing issues with mine like that redcat seems to have
Was sup boys!
Next time I’ll do more than a 2min test before sending it to you 😂
I want a company to produce brass weighted front wheels and aluminum rears
Fair enough
I’ve always ran more firm foams/inserts in front and less firm in rear. More firm fronts give you better steering accuracy as the less firm helps to wrap around rock better and push truck up. The last couple people have ran it opposite though🤔
I'm one of the opposites, I like my soft front with stiff in the rear 🧐
@@24Yepplooks like the numbers are against me and I may be wrong lol. I’ll have to swap and test out on backyard course though, never opposed to a firm rear🤣
I’m gonna take a wild guess he built that and sent it without ever driving it. Why would he intentionally send a truck that rubs so bad it can’t move? I’m also gonna guess he is a really busy person so I could see how he might not have the time to drive them
And you should have moved the shocks and sent it back with a note saying “now it’s usable” and then “Put them back if you don’t want to drive it”
That’s a heavy one!!!
Nice body 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
That body on a stock chassis (which rides higher) would probably work
