I like the way he built the Land Rover body. It looks good pieced together It definitely didn't look like the tires were gripping at all. In some places it hooked and other places it didn't.
As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. An art curator once said that good art is art you would like to own and great art is art you wish you had made. This truck is great art. I would have put a little more finesse in the body, but effort vs reward counts for something. Also that is my favourite colour. 2x 👍
@seniorxj2931 I don't think the way they were setup would lead to a flex issue. I could see it creating a situation where it would sit high in the front and want to tip over backwards. But anything is possible for sure. All I know is I watched a video on RUclips and I'm trying to do an analysis of performance. I think the jokes on both of us lol.
This dude/kid has good potential if he’s just started building. The suburban looked absolutely awesome and honestly a little body work and this body could look just as good I think. Bro just needs a little guidance and judging by the comments I’m seeing he’s got plenty of support behind him and that’s what keeps me in this hobby. Great builds Andrew 💯
I like the looks of the truck. I like the fact he was willing to cut up a nice body to make it into something he wanted. My wife has recently started watching you with me. And I’m sure you’ve heard this many times but she calls you hairy. From Harry and the Henderson/Sasquatch. But she means it with love.
That’s awesome at making the fcx body work on a scx and I liked where he made it into a truck. Thanks Trey for the tips for the suspension. I’m currently building a Athos xl chassis. I’m also new to this hobby and this will be my first build.
Another awesome video and so informative , and having your wife grade the trucks is genius she is so funny and she takes the video to a whole new level you guys are amazing, thanks for the laughs and awesome RC content 😊👍
Like the idea of using the fcx24m body on the scx24 . I see the scx as a more capable truck than the fcx ,there more of a scale trail truck in my eyes for more scale obstacles . . I think I may try this as I love the defender body's but not the performance of them . . PEACE !
Awesome truck! Everyone on here is always so positive and encouraging. Is there a good forum place that isn't full of negativity to post builds and and ask questions?
I think every place has its negativity unfortunately. Reddit has a lot of active scx24 people as well as facebook (seems to be the most negative) and instagram.
Duct tape is appropriate for a Landy build.😄 So the choice is either a fat D90 or a scale D110. Good call making sure the chassis/shocks sit and flex correctly then adjust wheel gap with body mounts.🍻 Kudos to yer missus for getting the model right but why didn't she think Defender=British, is she still pissed about the tea incident from back in the day?.😜😂
I have so many feelings about this one I don’t even know where to start 🤯 I like a good ol defender for sure and while a bit « rough », the body still looks great to me ! I definitely like that he went ahead and didn’t fear chopping a good body ! I hope with some tuning and body repositioning he can make this perform as intended because I must admit it hurts a little to see the ultimate parts list living in this truck and not crush lines ! Also, as much as I like these RC4WD Swamper tires and their KM3s (they’re not the worst and performed ok on my rocks), thanks to your videos and some other people on IG, I’m swapping my tiny tires trucks over to Jconcepts Tusk and/or Pitbulls. Makes quite a difference in performance while keeping the scale looks and proportions ! ✌🏻✌🏻

Tire and wheel choice looks perfect on that build. Those tires just don’t preform well in my area.

This truck is a perfect example of what happens if you eliminate too much flex!
It has 40mm shocks? How much more do you need?
@chrism5768 shock size doesn't matter when they're set up wrong.

@@seniorxj2931what about his shocks are setup wrong
Weight wise, what would be spot on for a c10 and what would be for a gladiator chassis?

Thanks dude, that means a lot. I'm so grateful for you guys...I'm gonna be dangerous when I graduate from velcro and figure out my tuning game 😆
Been wanting to chop my defender body for the 4m to make it a single cab. might just do that, looks sweet!!
Proper little gitrdun! Making me want to do a lwb version of my swb90 pickup now! Saw one IRL yesterday which made me want to even more lol

He does look a bit squatchy, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. 😁

@@24Yepp Thank you
These videos keep me going, thanks for the great content each week brother. Been HIGHLY considering getting CCV3 and building one from ground up
Happy Monday Boys!

@@VincentSayles ty for watching and enjoying!
Really cool build! Lots of good parts coices. A few scale jerry cans would clean up/ hide those body extension panels...
@@ScottB4077VT oooo this is a good idea
Now that's a good idea (that's my truck). It still doesn't feel quite "finished" to me and I think that will go a long way. Thanks man!
Yeah, it’s a awesome rig, love what he does with the bodies. Well, I’ll watch for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
Looks very cool, I think if you get a smaller battery and place it in the front will make a big difference

1:53 in, let the roasting begin! 🤣
Love the body extensions. 👍
Sweet rig!
Also sweet dish mat
Great video as always Trey! You must have some clips saved cause there is snow all over here in pa
Yup... sand bagging a months worth of footage 😄
👍👍 yeah I like it, I’m here watching 4:01 PM Monday, January 6 that’s a cool looking rig

4:10 you’re the tire insert god 😂
Yeah, we could see yours is level with each other
Love the body. You could tell immediately on the drunken frog that front end was lifting way too much 😮
Great looking truck
What's up boys
That far away😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, we can see it, the rear sets up more and then the front
creativity points on that modified D90
Ah, a looks good from my house body work situation. He has the right ideas 👍🏻
😅
Sounds like an exhaust flange gasket gone
A little tuning would do that chassis some good
