I go to a senior military college myself and it works pretty much the same where I am, just that as a freshmen, you’ll spend the first semester as a recruit and not a full fledged cadet
It is a military college that you can gain a commission from to any service. There are programs to join while in college for each service that require certain classes and then field training in the summers. However, many go to the citadel to graduate with a very good education and many job opportunities after graduation through their alumni.
Nikko, love your content, I graduated from this school prior-enlisted natty guard and commissioned from this school once I graduated. Everything you’ve said is 100% accurate. Insider only showed the softer companies in their video but the school has gradually gotten a lot softer.
Nikko. Give us a video on what you expect from your platoon leader. You see the leadership people get at the academies and ROTC. Fight it and help make us better by giving us the enlisted perspective we don’t always get from our NCOs.
1st I served in two Branches Army and Coast Guard. Out after 14 for med retirement. I went through two different bootcamp/basic training’s as well as several NCO/PO schools. I’m also a combat vet. At least when I was there it was as intense mentally as any basic and it lasts a full 10 months.Every student stays because they have the fortitude and perseverance. My year had a 50% dropout rate for Nobs. Many came from a life that would not have been conducive to success but the school instills behaviors that lead to success.
That's what i was thinking, if they end up not joining the military, at the very least they were instilled with structure and discipline, which will help them succeed in almost any industry. Also thank you for your service.

No. Only Cadets (students) who have/earn a Military Scholarship while in school will be automatically Commissioned after graduating.
