I found out that I am genetically immune to CS gas way back in like 2002. Its still not fun but I didn't get the reaction everyone else gets. So got to pretend that CS gas effects me all throughout basic training so I would fit in.

Mild immunity so it really wasn't that bad. More than anything i enjoyed watching how much others would go ballistic when we had to qual every year for the Marine Corps.

I was US Army for 7 years, the Gas Chamber is not as bad the second, third and even 6th time around. It gets easier to put up with the CS, and your reactions are more, expected.
I knew a few who actually looked forward to it as a way to clear the sinuses during allergy season.
I did gas chamber for police academy with SWAT CS grenades in a shipping crate and OC was way worse but would do again if I had to
I'll take CS over OC and Taser any day. I did it a few times in the Army, and it does get easier each time. All I felt was a little sting on my face last SWAT chemical training. It's still funny as hell watching the first timers.
It was the panic the first time that got me, my second time through was a breeze because I could watch everyone else panic
I always wanted to know why there's a tree right outside the exit door ? lol
Man if I could choose any two people to be my instructors I'd pick Nikko and Angry Cops 100% because I know they would put that gravel in my gut. It would suck but I'd still choose them

Hope this one gets seen but the part about the gas chamber, I did gas chamber with my original division in navy boot camp, didn’t meet physical readiness standards to graduate so I was set back and had to do it again. Took a back injury a week after, got set back AGAIN, was told by the instructors “get fucked you shouldn’t be failing” and did it a third time! After getting set back another time due to timing and my fourth go around it boot camp, arrived at the gas chamber the fourth time and the instructors talked to the E-7, who came and told me “you masochist, go find something else to do, anything”
You know it’s bad when you’re on a first-name basis with the chamber instructor
My biggest fail was not making it through MEPS during the final physical because they thought I had a heart condition when I was just really stoked because I was minutes away from signing my enlistment papers and even though I got an okay from my primary’s physician and a cardiologist, they still gave me a service wide medical DQ…
At MEPS I sat down for the blood pressure test, and my blood pressure was super low for some reason, and an OSC recruit next to me, his was too HIGH, even though he was chill. So he had to calm down while I had to somehow amp up my blood flow with quick breathing. It was weird little moment.
I was at my army brief last week, and the recruiter made several digs at the Air Force. Made me laugh so much.
Im leaving for basic training May 23rd. Watching Nikko's videos just makes me more and more hyped to go

It looks crushed exactly the way the vehicle was when it was moved to our motor pool. What made it even better was it was the Sargent Majors vehicle.

When i had to do the chamber for the second time. I stood there talking casualy to the sergeant as he looks at me wide eyed with a mask. And for 1 minute he watched as my face slowly changed red. I began to tear up and....everything was just slow. As everyone around me is snugging into each other, puking, having from snot mucous running down their faces. He looked back at me and he realised he had us in their for 3 minutes when its suppose to be like 30 seconds. Yes it was air force. I think the army does it for a minute. But hey, distract the instructor with the mask and no one will leave till he looks at his watch.

My biggest fail was causing a "hands across America" because I thought I thought I lost the main spring to my M2. It was in the fucking HMMWV the whole time.
We were at the range once and we were hanging out under the ammo shack until we moved over to the covered bleachers. I left my rifle over by the ammo shack and didn’t notice it was gone until my NCO texted me to meet behind the bleachers. Immediately thought I was about to get skull dragged, but he instead gave me a teaching moment about the time it happened to him when he was a private. Told me to be better and get focused back on the range. Will never forget how he spared me that day 🙏🏻

as someone who gets gassed with chloride gas on a daily basis, its easy, just start running when your vision goes into tunnel mode, if the tunnel starts getting narrower, run faster.

i had an CPT leave his M9 in the bathroom in the field in Bliss. He was on a trip for about 10 hours till he finally made a trip to see me and find out i secured it for him
I'm not sure how the tazers would affect me... I have a spinal cord stimulator implant at my T8 that "controls" neuropathy from the waist down. It's like having a TENS unit implanted in your body, so I get 5 electrical "shocks" every minute & a half, unless I put it on continuous mode. 😂😂
