Great video, this is exactly what i need! Thare are too much youtubers making videos about TOP 100000000 THINGS A NOOB SHOULD BUY!!!!!!11111, but almost nobody gives people the really valuable thing - knowledge...
I myself found that learning to hoover as low as i can, increased my control to fly low insanely! Even after like 15min of practicing that, it immediately showed in flying low. Its so weird! I would recommend practicing that for sure!
Nice one man! Glad you found some value in it. All the best with your journey into this hobby. It can be frustrating in the beginning, but it is a deep rabbit hole of endless fun & very rewarding. Enjoy 👍
Cheers Kris. Great tuition and despite me flying quads now for 2 years over never really practiced this properly. It remimds me exactly of helicopter flying before I learnt stalled turns and rolls etc and then 3d . Cheers
Hi, thanks for watching & commenting. Been a while since I gave this channel any love. Happy to see some of my videos are still valuable help for some!
Is it better to fly in that hand placement or how you would play an xbox game? I tried flying in the way your hands are placed and I find it extremely wonky.
I have an interesting form of favoritism: Tight, snappy turns. Most of my flying is in my side yard, but that is a fairly small space. As a result, I'm not very good at larger, sweeping turns - or really "turns" in a formal sense at all. Rather, my favored maneuvers are either very tight figure-8's or a snap 180. (Come to think of it my figure eights consist of two opposing snap-180s most of the time.) Which, tight maneuvers are definitely nice things to know how to do, but that means my slower sweeping turns are not very good.
Interesting habit. Not to worry, just gotta get out to a large enough space with a bit of practice & persistence on those sweeping turns you wanna get better at. Even a sim can help with that. Be sure to practice both left & right as well. Happy flying 🙂
Yes, I'm based in Adelaide & yeah been crazy hot. It's cooled down now & should stay nice for Xmas break so I can get out & do some flying for a change 🤣
@@KrissKwaddFPV are you involved with any local clubs or anything? Once I get my first quad I'd love to catch up with others and learn some skills and see some real flyers in action.
Yes, involved with Adelaide FPV Racing. I don't race much but am involved with the club 👌 Definitely a good idea to come to one of the fun fly events & see what the club is about 🙂
After 2 years I have learned a lot of cool moves but flying fast close to the ground is not one of them, definitely something I need to work on with 1 of my less exspensive builds:)
I actually need to work on my wide turns. The vast majority of my FPV flying has been in a small closed space (my side yard), thus I'm pretty good at hairpin 180s, but I'm less good at wider, continuous turns. Like anyone I also need to work on favoritism. (And also actually get flying more...)
You're right, I've noticed the favoritism. Thx, I'm a noob and appreciate all the tips I can get. Clothes shopping I suppose? ☮️ Wheelchair John in Idaho 😎
Yeah, turning & roll favoritism is definitely something I notice with a lot of new guys & never seen any tutorial videos calling it out so thought I'll put something out there. Thanks for watching mate & yup, gonna buy myself some new gym shorts lol :-D
Good tutorial video mate, I remember finding myself clipping the ground so often when I first started trying to fly low but practicing out in an open spot like this is the way to learn good throttle control without destroying your quad 👍
Thanks man. Yeah, I probably should have mentioned in the video that clipping the ground & crashing is normal & something that will happen fairly often as a beginner. So much to think about when talking to audience in a vid like this.
I just jumped into the dji virtualflight sim for the first time and i am very glad i started there first, full control flying is no joke!
I like the advice on doing figure 8s
Nice tips... just got to watch out for that "spread eagle rip" at the end :)
Haha!!! Yeah they're Nast them spread eagle rips 😂😂😂

Great advice! Have forgotten but get asked a lot! one point: not too low, grass can kill stacks when the props vacuum it up.
Good stuff I am learning how to learn before i get my first 5 inch quad good tips cheers

Very nice field to fly
Something I need to work on is not favoring my left turns so much....awesome tutoral TFS!
Thank you. Glad you found some value in it 😊
I go right a lot, funny how our brains do that
@@jrk098are you left or right handed ? I seem to favor going right as well 😂
Are the shorts required for the exercise or?
More please
As a noob I’ll be flying many more packs using this drill. Thank you for sharing 👍😎🇦🇺
You're welcome & thank you for watching 😊. I intend to do more tutes if I get a chance. Been smashed with being busy lately.
Definitely gonna give this a shot cuz my throttle control SUCKS! 🙈

Thanks. Planning on doing more soon as weather here is nice now 🙂 Thanks for watching & leaving feedback!

Close tight turns in tight spaces is a really good skill to have. Keep it up 😊
Yeah the moment drone landed, the sound came up then i was like 😂😂😂😂😂
Brilliant tips man I try not to stick to one side it’s a bad habit that needs eliminating haha !
Thanks mate. Yes definitely worth evening out directions. Being self aware of favoritism is a great start to eliminating it 👌
Did you crash a lot?
nice tutorial
Good advice there Chris ;)
nice video you got here sir

KrissKwadd yeah it's a lot harder than just posting a flight video, stuff like this is really helpful when you're starting out though.
