The most useful tip for me while flying indoors is adjust your camera angle based on the speed you want to fly. That + adjusting the rates so the quad is not too jumpy.
Bro you deserve a million subs for this video.two years later and pro fpv pilots still not posting meaningful contents for indoor flight and you even include throttle rates which is the vital part of flying indoor in my view. I just built my first 5 inch freestyle drone 2 weeks ago. Had couple hard crashes outdoor, i mean totally hard crashes( flying into the crash with that 6s beast) so i made up my mind to just hide certain stuff in the house and learn to fly indoors. If i master indoors then outside should be a walk in the park for me.Thanks a million
When you're first doing paid jobs and it's on the line, that adrenaline and fear is crazy. I've been there - especially when filming events where there is no reset.
This is TOTALLY unexpected. Got my first FPV Cinelog25 (used, with previous owner's settings) 5 days ago and during practicing the most difficult was to handle throttle. 0,00001 mm change in stick position and drone was touching the roof. I watched your video, played a bit with the settings and now my flying technique is waaaayyyy more better. Only after 2 minutes. Thank you ❤
Mate, I’ve been flying for months and I had the exact same problem of finding videos on HOW to get to this point. This video right here has thought me more than the hundreds of others I have gone through. That tip of the battery voltage in the centre has alone made more sense to me than any other tip I’ve seen before. THANK YOU!
i'm entering fpv world for the same reasons as you, but despite having watched hundreds of videos on the theme, your is the only one that handles those parts that are really crucial rather than just the type of drone, type of camera etc... thank you very much for the video!!! it was really helpful
Man! I just Ordered a Taycan 3.5 cinewhoop, Go Pro Hero 10, DJI V2 goggles, and a Taranis X9D. Watching your videos, now I know my rates to be set and def going into this new hobby with more confidence. Thanks, wish me luck!
Sean, thank you so much for creating this video about flying with a cinewhoop. The tips about the throttle adjustments will go a long way in helping me fly indoors. Your nervousness and courage with flying through the gym are an inspiration and show your humanity. Subscribed!
I love this video bro. I also came to fpv with no guide and no mentor. I couldn’t fly a straight line a year ago and indoors seemed impossible! For the most part I surpassed these tips but ensuring you pointed out is amazing advice and I wish I found this video a year ago.. also I appreciate your humility. In this field we see so many high quality videos and amazing piloting skills it’s hard to remember everyone was a beginner at one time!
Dude.. right to the point! I fly fpv for half a year outdoor and now got my 2inch cinewhoop.. yesterday i tried indoor and alsmot instant hitting the wall, couldnt find any usefull video till i saw this one in my recommendations haha.
I avoided this video for over a week now for the title Masterclass since I thought it was some kind of joke. I'm glad I clicked on it because what an AMAZING video that breaks down the steps of how to prepare and practice for an indoor shoot. I love the attention to detail and minor things that people don't think about needing to prepare for like rates for indoor or prepping your quad. I have the same quad but my first shoot will be chasing a mountain biker and surfer, so no indoors yet! Thank you for this incredible tutorial, I'm a subscriber now! Cheers
Well, Im glad I was able to help bud. And Im sorry of the word masterclass tipped you off, but compared to the videos out there this might just be the most informative one out of all of them.
Brand new subscriber. I am just learning FPV and this is SO helpful. Finally someone understands what all those other videos for indoor flying miss. Thank you thank you thank you!
This video just changed everything for me! This is the only video I have seen that shares the entire recipe without leaving out a crucial ingredient. Thank you Sean!
WOW! That was a great video, brother ! For many years I haven’t been able yet to “decipher” all the “jargon”( vocabulary) that most “Pro-Pilots” use when they make instructional FPV videos on RUclips for us beginners! They speak about “rates”, about maintaining your altitude and, a lot more things in a way that does not mean anything to a newcomer. This is the first time I watch a humble guy just being real, being honest, and at the same time making a lot of sense in this beautiful hobby ! I am so pleased and impressed with the way you introduced yourself and how you needed to understand all that is involved in this FPV hobby while people who actually know are not able to come down to the starting place where they were before they learned all they know today! I commend you for doing this video that I know made a difference to me and hope it will make some impact on others like me who have lost their time searching for guidance under the wrong “ teachers”. Thank you you earned a subscriber and will follow you !
Thanks for posting this, my friend. Great work. Glad you overcame your fear! I get that when I fly and then when I'm finished it's just the rush of watching the video.
mannnn amazing video you definately covered the most important topics about the challenges when flying cinewoops indoors and also adding spicy momentums... super congrats man!!!
Start flying about 3 months ago, and now i want to do this kind of stuff. Thank you very much for sharing this crucial info. You sir deserved a like and a sub :)
Dear Sean, i believe you deserve a medal for this video!!!! Thank you so much for such transparency and positive posture. I am in Brasil, trying to make a living out of my photo/video projects and your video really clarify a lot of my doubts on indoor flying... again, thank you so much and congrats!!!!
Great clip .... Am in the same boat ie. Beginner and struggling with Acro indoors with my 25 , gonna set up like you suggested and see how it goes... Love the aimer.... Idea been flying my miniwoop beta (it has that aimer thing ) great plan...thx.🇿🇦
Bro, thanks for the video! I’m a new pilot and I am flying since october 16th. Now I want to fly indoors for real estate shots etc. My whole day today was depressing, because I tried it without any knowledge and instantly broke 3 of my propellers on my 3 days old first drone. After that I was looking for a video but didn’t find one. Thanks to you. I finally found it. I’m trying these specs in betaflight now and try again. Let’s see:)
Thank you man. Needed that pep. I did my first shift indoors and I DID NOT set the camera to auto ISO and now I can't use that clip! The rush was so amazing. The shot was "do not let anyone see this." talk. I get goose bumps on the rush of making it to the other end with 20 feet of one end of the house to the getting out! Coll video thank you again.
This was very helpful and even I don’t have an fpv I have the confidence that looking some couple of times this will be a great way to go, thanks for that
Thank you. So much. I’ve got my first job today and this was a lifesaver. It really was that missing video😂 that lipo indicator in the middle of the screen is smart!! Thanks man
Dude you talk right to the point always. I am sure you maybe busy with so much video production work, but put some attention to your channel as well. I been struggling to fly indoor with my pavo 25 v2 and I can tell your tips will definitely help me. Cheers for sharing it with us without keeping it to yourself…
Awesome video - wonderful advice. Thanks for sharing your stress and angst as well - I know those feelings well when flying around obstacles, between buildings or in populated areas. Drink a strong coffee, suck it up and fly the drone - that's how you get passed it. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic Sean... I've just got into fpv and this is exactly what I want to do.. Its great to see them nerves and the feeling you get before flight I get that and I thought It was just me and I only fly in massive spaces so its great to see.. Recently bought a ciniwhoop and new controller.. Still need a charger as I've been flying the dji fpv drone and it's got me the bug.. But now moving into well can I say... The proper fpv world.. And it's boggling a little... But the passion like you... Takes over.. Thanks for vid
Just got my first Cinewhoop and really appreciate this video man. Thanks for the amazing explanation and tips! I can't imagine that adrenaline rush you went through flying through that window.
Great video, I came in with little interest in the topic, but I watched the whole thing, it was captivating, and if I ever try this I'll know what to do.

Great job going over those points flying inside! I have adjusted my rates and the only issue left I have is the throttle. I'll use the info you provided to test it on my flight. Thank you brother!
@@SeanAlamiI just got my first drone (DJI mini 3) for something to do with my daughter and it's a lot of fun for both of us. Can you recommend a resource for getting into the FPV side of flying? Thanks for the video!
Hi Sean. Finally someone came up with an explanatory video from scratch!!! This way, the emotions would be building throughout the video and at the end, the denouement to help bring down the dramatic curve. One question: Is this drone stabilized? IN SHORT: GREAT!!! very helpful video man thanks! Just a question: why did you have to change back from angle mode? How is it different in the video recording compared to acro? I mean if its easier and has the same result why the acro?
Wow, thank you! Great video and very informative! I’m still struggling flying indoors and despite flying outside all the time I was completely claustrophobic and out of my comfort zone when I first flew inside. These tips have helped so much!
Sean, thank you for this video. It was very helpful for me to stay motivated. I have purchased a DJI Avata a few months ago, but since then, I mostly stayed in the simulator (Liftoff) because I don't really have a location where I could practice. I have tried Manual Mode in my appartement a few times, but my space is really to small, it crashes into a wall or some other object pretty quickly. And I don't want to destroy anything ;) I have flewn outdoor a few times, but this is completely different because there is way more space and you don't have to fly so exactly like indoors (and the wind component).
Hi Sean thank you for the video! Can I know what is the best practice for exposing for outdoor moving into indoor? Do you use auto iso ? Do you expose for indoor at 100 iso but raise shutter speed for outdoor or vice versa? thank you
what about radio repeaters? in my case i use dji drones, and they loose signal with every building, but what about flying indoors with a iFlight dron or geprc, do they maintain signal ?
Muchas pero muchas gracias! ahora si puedo volar mas confiado en interiores! nose como llegue a este video pero eres un crack ! justo lo que necesitaba
Oh wow, what you exactly explained about the rates is what I did yesterday and it helped. I used horizon mode though but I'm still trying acro mode and my success is 50/50. It still flies really fast. My throttle limit is 80% but I haven't tried changing throttle mid. I will try your 0.25 value.
Man, what an excellent video! Just what I was looking for! I do construction progress drone work with a mavic, but have a little Leader 120 to fly around the back yard in acro mode. I started seeing these "one shot" drone videos recently and said the same thing: I *have* to learn how to do that! Been researching for months while waiting to same up some funds, finally just bought a used "thinking p19" and can't wait to start learning. Your video has already been such a great help, and as others have said, it's like the only video I've found that actually shows "how". Great job!! Question: Have you done any more oneshot flights (I don't see any more on your channel)? If so, have you learned any more tips / tricks, not only with the rates / flying, but with contacting people and getting them to let you fly? And...have you been able to get paid for a oneshot yet? Thanks!!
Earned a sub! I dunno yet if these hints are going to help but many are new to me and I never found that many together in a video focused on exactly that subject, so thanks a lot for that already mate! I will certainly give them a try and stick to them to the letter for a while.
Finally got to watch some good stuff for a beginner like me, thank you so much.. Just a quick question, coz im into real estate videography and i am just a beginner in fov drone, i recently purchased the pavo pico cinewhoop. Do you think i should learn angle mode or acro? Coz i will mostly gonna focus only indoors maybe a little bit of outdoor too
Thanks for the tips. I have a question - The drone lifts off at very high throttle. What should I change and how to make it take off at lower throttle?
The most useful tip for me while flying indoors is adjust your camera angle based on the speed you want to fly. That + adjusting the rates so the quad is not too jumpy.
Finally, someone who knows how to transmit this kind of info in a comprehensive way!!!

Coz i will mostly gonna focus only indoors maybe a little bit of outdoor too
Thanks mate, keep it acro🤟🏽

I explain that in the video, the throttle expo
@@SeanAlami I changed according to your recommendation but not the drone takes off at approximately 75% throttle
Lots of great tips, thanks man. Excellent Info. Happy Flying
You we're right!!!! This video nailed it
