This was super helpful! I been meaning to try this method for my cosplay wigs but was a bit scared. Watching this makes me feel more confident since i know now what to expect 💕 thank you!
omg this was so helpful i used this for a wig that was originally gonna be a jeff the killer wig but after a year of having it i decided to make it a wig for the puppet from fnaf so i didnt really have to cut it or anything. crimping it was honestly really fun and it made the spiking and styling rlly easy and it held in place. so thank you for making this vid!!
I’m dressing up as my DnD character a male rogue named Tatshiro Krivell, and was just gonna style the wig with my mom, this helped a ton! Gonna start styling it now for Halloween!
im pretty new to styling wigs, and im cosplaying as Tohru from koboyashis dragon maid. This vid is very helpful, but could someone tell me if crimping or teasing is the way to go when your looking for more volume?
LMAO. I did this about a year ago. KILLED IT. It was so gross. I didnt know anything about crimping wigs so i was like 'ok' and murderd my wig. But its ok, i straightened it, and im restyling it rn lol
Good golly you're a life saver ! I would've lost a wig. This will definitely help out in my Kaedehara Kazuha wig. 😭 ✨ I have a question in regards to wig descriptions. It didn't exactly say how much heat it would take when I looked up the wig, but it did say 100% heat resistant. Should I play cautious and do a moderate level of heating? :0
I would say go with a low heat setting, or if you think that you need a high heat setting, test a hidden area of the wig and see if it burns! Good luck with your cosplay!
Thank you so much for this vid! I already crimp my wig is it okay if I just leave it? does the volume or crimp still there even if I didnt put hairspray? (It is displayed in a mannequin head) I will style it weeks before the event and I didnt style it because I crimp it a month early 😅
Anytime! 💘 the crimped texture will stay but you may have to fluff it up when you style depending on the amount of volume you want. Nothing wrong with starting sooner than later 👍 hope that helps!!
if you havent already crimped it, i reccomend crimping it up and down the strand to create a fine wave in the hair instead of the harsh crimp lines, and always go lowest heat, start at the bottom, work up etc, and if it seems too difficult just tease the hair and then heat it up, hairspray it and brush it out and you get the same effect xD
I totally had flashbacks to when my sister used to crimp and tease her hair out back in the 80’s and early 90’s lol. This was fun!
Love that 😂💖💖
