You my friend do some awesome mods!! Really enjoy your videos too....👍🏼👍🏼🤛🏼🤛🏼
i have absolutely no clue about vehicles but this channel makes me wanna work on stuff haha. Keep doing what you are doing and don't change a thing! absolutely calming to watch these videos. love it!
Bro the music you listen to is dope...
Soooo, things are getting more serious with the CR Swap plan. May need to pick your brain at some point if possible.
Awesome! Sure send me a text. 250-329-6174
“Cobbled it together with what ever I had” =my life 🙃
I'd like more info on the exhaust brake man, way better option than a BD or Pac
I believe he said it came off a military vehicle, I need to find out what kind of vehicle and what engine they were using.
I need one too.. if anyone has info let’s hear it
You make it look so easy. If I was doing all that it would take me a month.
i saw that car a was thinking ol no! nice clean install i like how you make things instead of buy them thats my mind set as well. in your next video you should go over the boost and drive pressure difference from the old one and the drive ability differences.
the old turbo is awesome to put on 12 valves. have one on mine cheap upgrade and spools quick not to bad to swap either
Man that truck pulls along nicely..... One Sweet truck man...
Fuck me! That sounds so great!
Where can I get one of those exhaust brakes?
If you find out let me know.
You ever thought of doing a custom grille build to get a cleaner front end look and more airflow to the turbo with like a mesh grille or something?
Yeah I'm not to worried about how the truck looks
Now upgrade ur ranger turbo by using the old truck turbo lol
sick whip, i love the turbo you chose i have bin wanting to do a upgrade on my o7 6.7 was your stock turbo a vgt? what tuning are you running also? haha that lady just blows the stop sgn on ya stupif finn drivers lol
Another cool video. I would love to have an exhaust brake on my 97, it has an automatic.
if I had a truck and needed something done Id send it to you for sure
Do you do any preventive maintenance since you’re up in Canada to prevent the salty winter rods from rusting, bed, body and front bumper? Or just wash often? Getting harder to find clean bodied third gens in the north. I’m in North Dakota and it’s not uncommon to see 4th gens all rocked chopped from gravel and rusting where the paint flakes off.
looks like fun to me. im tinkering with my 6.7 at the moment and wish I could stop by and chat. cheers from nor Cal.
What turbo you running
Stock Tran?
is that 3" charge pipe stainless ? Also, how does the turbo affect the EGT? Does a larger turbo lower EGT or raise them, and why? i cant quite wrap my head around that? Thanks and great job on another upgrade!
Brian Walk lowering drive pressure helps to lower your egt .
AllmotorMaze Thanks for the response!
Was that a first gen steering wheel, or am I seeing things? Either way great video, love the cruising through the mountains around town. 🤙✌
Yes I have the early 03 steering wheel
What is the surplus exhaust brake called? I have a ram brake on mine but not too sure if I can get it working
So you run an exhaust brake and engine brake? If not that's a loud ass exhaust brake. The switch on the shifter is for the engine brake right? If you are running engine brake, where did you get it?
kickass job .excellent work .
Im a beginning welder i hope to gain as much skill as you. With these flatbed builds lol and im trying to learn more about diesels as well
Nice up grade!!! How many miles are on your truck? And are you still running stock injections!
227k miles and stock injectors
Badass truck bro
Great video. I went by the manifold and ran a heat shield tubing from amazon around it and the drain line.
As usual in your videos you did a great job. Cool 👍
2nd gen swap always sounds way better!
Hey man, you do some good work, I really enjoy your videos, keep em coming!
What kind of exhaust brake do you have?
Badass. Truck sounds amazing.
Another great video. Keep up the solid work. Looking good!
On the exhaust brake I see it has a piston type actuator. Is it vacuum operated or pressure? Would be cool if you did a video on the install. Thanks. I think you need heavier valve springs too?
Its pressure operated. I use a 3 way valve connected to my onboard air to run it. Brake has been on the truck for years no issues. No need for valve springs.
On an auto truck you will need a way of holding throttle valve wide open with brake. Air solenoid works or run a full manual valve body. If you don't actuate tv valve trans wont have enough holding power on clutches. Burn up trans going down hill.
Beast mode
Awesome as always nice work man
I’ve got the same stupid red light on my dash haha
my truck is used 100% for towing. so twins seems like a silly amount of money for me. im wondering if i can get the same 30lbs of boost at a lower EGT by going to a larger turbo. i know ill get more lag but again. not really a big deal as im so low geared my boost gauge barely moves until hwy speeds anyway.
Bad Ass man great video
Around What rpm does your truck start spooling the turbo ?
The s366's spool around 1800 on stock fuel & I forget what he has for fuel but I think the s400's spool around 2k
How come you needed a 2nd gen manifold to do this? 🙃
3rd gen manifold is lame
JustaGearHead oh I see. Thanks🙃
What part of bc do you live in?
Damn you do some pretty interesting things I'm from Pittsburgh PA and I drive a 08 6.7 3500 and I do kinda the stuff you do lol
Im just south of eire what kinda mods are you looking into be happy to help u
2nd gen swap for my 6.7 Cummins
Your going to rip that turbo up
Could you please forward me info on exhaust brake, what's it's off of , and I believe you said a military vehicle.
what clutch do you have installed
Boom bap vibes 👌🏾
Wow!!!!!!
Great Work Dude! Keep up the good work...Enjoying your channel!
How hot can exhaust temp get without hurting my cylinders?
You should build a compound set up
Compounds are great but I like the simplicity of this setup.
What boost you at now?
about 50psi
What size turbo is that?? Any lag with it
he said it in the video but he put a smaller hotside housing to reduce lag
are you still on the stock lift pump and cp3??
Yup
No wastegate?
Full send ?
Looks great. You should get ahold of the manufacture of the turbo and make sure that 1/8” npt port and fitting is big enough for the oil feed, last thing you want to do is starve that new turbo. You can just drill out the oil filter housing and tap new treads.
But keep up the great work brother.
the 1/8npt will be more than adequate. The restriction built into the turbo is far smaller than the 1/8npt fitting.
Very nice...
Badass
Where did u buy the new exhaust housing
Thx for the ride along Looks great!
the engine sounds driving along put me to sleep here, so relaxing
Is it bad I fell asleep to this?
Love your channel bro
Did you have any trouble taking out
the bolts for the manifold
Nope no problems
Good to know 👌🏻
What did you use to block off the factory oil feed port?
Used a lug bolt from my rx7. its m12.1.5 threads
Missed that part skimming through. Thanks man!
@@Cumminslife where did you get this exhaust brake and what kind of military truck/engine did it come off of
The new exhuast houseing might spool faster but its limiting your top end
Sounds way better. Great video.
do you have a semi trany in your truck
Keep up the great work my dude.
