    Wow. Looks great! 💕 Thank you for showing the finished plate of food!
    I made my grandson liver and onions; first time he's had it and I haven't heard how he liked it yet. However, a neighbor man loved it! 😋 I don't rinse the milk off, I just dip the liver in the flour.
    BTW....our bodies make cholesterol; cholesterol in food isn't the problem; it's the saturated fat that's bad for us!
    Enjoyed watching you cook and your explanations.
    Why does my flour come off the meat though?

    • @mannysmom
      @mannysmom  Год назад +1

      Hi! Was your grease hot enough? The flour should not come off unless the grease wasn't hot enough. The next time that I purchase some liver, I will see how much cholesterol is in it. I bought some gizzards for cornbread dressing and they had a high cholesterol number. I can't remember what it was, but I mentioned it in my grocery haul. Have you seen how much cholesterol is in a serving of shrimp? I was surprised.
      Thanks for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!

      I always have a problem with the oil temperature when pan frying.
      I rarely fry anything; I'm originally from Ohio and we didn't have fried food growing up.
      Other people in this thread mentioned about cholesterol. Cholesterol isn't bad for us; our bodies naturally make it. It's the saturated fat in food that people need to watch out for. The science has changed but apparently doctors are incorrectly still telling patients to watch their cholesterol intake.

      You Should Rinse The Milk Off Put A Lot Of Flour On It Let Your Oil Get Hot And Then Fry It And Your Flour Won't Come Off

    Very few people soak it in milk, but my Dad always soaked it in milk.
    He said don't add salt before cooking because it toughens the meat.

      Yes, the milk definitely takes that "wild" taste away. I have never heard about the salt. I'll have to try that next time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Thanks for the advice, also! MUCH Love!

      Hi! NO, NOT my dr. My friend lost her husband, who had a bad heart, at 48 years old. He had dangerously high cholesterol. So, I thing that, maybe because of his health.
      This is what webmd.com states:
      While organ meats are highly nutritious foods, they also contain a lot of cholesterol (especially the liver and heart). High cholesterol levels raise your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

      Hi! NO need to be sorry. It was the thickness that I liked it. I don't like to add too much flour because it takes away from the flaor of the liver. It was actually pretty thick, though, much thicer than any soup that I've eaten
