York is my favourite place in the world! I was at the University of Leeds for a study year abroad from Ontario, and it was the first time I ever saw a cathedral, Roman ruins and Medieval buildings. An instant love affair was born. I go back any chance I get-- and I've been on so many Ghost Tours, I could probably lead one myself! I hope to visit later this year. Thank you-- this is wonderful. x

Although I have been visited by a lot of Spirits during my time in York, I have never encountered one of York's many Ghosts. A Day just isn't long enough, one needs to stay for as long as possible. Now then, what's the name of that Pub with the Roman excavations inside...

Your tours are so very enjoyable and in my opinion superior to most others coming out of Britain; your voice is nice, not pretentious, your music is varied and well- designed to enhance your videos nicely! Music can make or break a video and yours see right on! You don’t try to talk above/over the music, and your history-sense is right on--not snobby, not affected, and we’re allowed to enjoy the walks with you. Thank you for bringing these amazing images into my home in Montana, as I am an avid “Anglophile” and have been to England twice. After watching your video on Winchester, I’ve decided I have a bucket list; top on that list would be to spend a year in Winchester. I have a particular love and admiration for Alfred the Great and would love to tread the land he walked, for more than just a few days’ vacation time. Thank you!

A lovely guide, so much to do and see, it seems like a destination suited to a short break to be able to take most of the sights in. My personal favourite was the National Railway Museum.

Hi Simon and Will love these Tudor, Georgian, Victorian architecture. So many narrow streets in rural England. Beautiful. From a fan in America
Love to freeze Kitkats. And Whisp Bars by Cadbury
Simon I can't remember the Catholic that was hung in York by King Henry, VIII. He lead a nonviolent walk with his followers.I think he was hung on one of those large gates. I'm thinking his first name was Robert. Possibly he was a lawyer to

Terrific tour! York has so many things to see. We loved our visit, (I won't say how) many years ago. I have a photo of the red devil on the corner in the Shambles. As a lover of both Viking and Roman history, it is wonderful to see those places again. It appears the Yorvik Viking Center has upgraded their experience even more. The Yorkshire museum is fantastic, with actual sections of Abbey stone arches coming out of the wall; hope you get to see it one day. Looking forward to your Minster tour. I recall seeing a photo in a shop nearby that showed flames through the rose window from a fire back in the early 1980s. I know you sometimes visit locations outside the UK; Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany also has city walls you can walk and a ghost tour; the town dates back to the 13th century. The key to our guesthaus was as long as my hand.

Thank you glad you liked it. Another trip needed to head to the places that were closed including the Yorkshire museum. Does sound very interesting. Horrible seeing the pictures of the minster in flames but they done an amazing job of repairing it.

The York Dungeon has upgraded as well. I remembered going as a kid and in teens and it was waxworks depicting the tortures and punishments and some of them moved. But when I last went a few years ago it was a lot more entertaining with actors telling stories and performing scenes . They even did a mock trial and a lot of audience participation is required

My American family will love it! my friend just got back from visiting from the US..and loved it.. I love the shambles and the museums. So quaint and Harry Potterish! My family visited York many years ago. Loved it. The Viking exhibit was excellent.
Edit: It’s great that videos of this type exist. They build places up, as opposed to those that want to show what dumps cities are becoming. I’d rather feel happy and exited than depressed.
