@@avaultz unfortunately at the current moment the most stable os for NDS is Stock OS. I do have information that this weekend some other custom firmware will be released and that it’s super stable and has performance gains. I will be testing and making a video to share my findings.
You show the setup pretty well for this device. Batocera is very flexible and there is some great content out there showing how to setup various systems to PC builds. It would be similar for this device too
Thank you my friend, actually I was aiming to put a setup guide yesterday and I was wanting to show people how similiar it is to the pc build. It was my son’s birthday yesterday so I didn’t end up finding the time but I have time today. I will be making a guide on how to get the most out of Batocera. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate you friend. ✌️
This is really nice. Much better than stock OS. I just have a couple issues. I am using a 2 card setup and it is taking me a minute and a half to boot up which is ridiculous. Lots of people are reporting insane boot up times as well with a 2 card setup so it is a known issue. Another issue I have is there doesn't seem to be a way to map your own keybindings for RetroArch and save them, they resort back to default settings when you load another game. Hopefully they can get it sorted out.
As someone who owns the + and the H and has the stock os and the koriki os I actually prefer the anbernic stock os. Here’s why: 1) the koriki load up time on turn on is super long. 2) koriki won’t turn off while plugged in charging. It basically just resets and turns itself back on. Only workaround is to just put it in power save mode basically or take out the sd card while charging. 3) you have to install your own games with koriki. Yes you can do n64 but looking back at the ds or gba or gbc color games I installed most of them were on the anbernic device anyways. You also have to download the bios too if you want and the images. Where the stock is had all of that. I personally don’t believe the stock os is as bad as people make it out to be. It’s simple and clean and easy to use and the best part it’s ready right away. The only reason I like koriki is for n64. And while playable the graphics are iffy sometimes on the ground, like Mario 64 when you first enter the castle the mural on the floor, or Zelda 64 the ground looks bad sometimes. Maybe if I adjust my settings or something it will be better. Though i do recognize koriki is in alpha stage and will only continue to get better with future updates
I’ll share a hotkey guide in my community post just for you my brother. Check my community feed in 2 minutes. I’m going to make a getting started guide today. Glad it worked for you.
The other small annoying thing about koriki especially with pokemon is the controls are backwards. Cancel is ok and ok is cancel. You can change it but until you do it’s super annoying. Bc you either hit the wrong one trying to start the game in the menus or you hit the wrong one playing the game
I've been searching everywhere for more info on HDMI out. It doesn't work for me while using Batocera. Works fine when I use the stock OS on another SD card but I get nothing out when using the Batocera SD card. Anyone have any insight?
This is directly from the Batocera V40 GitHub :There's an issue with HDMI audio. Audio fails after some seconds and reverts back to the console speaker. By that I would assume that HDMI should work but issues with audio exist. I also I see in another part of the changelog that they fixed an issues where the resolution was not scaling correctly on the device after disconnecting from hdmi.
Just ordered one of these, so new to this. Are you copying the BIOS files that came with the original firmware and putting them into the BIOS folder on the new one?
I've downloaded and installed this but is anyone having issues with the BIOS screen not loading ? i've installed all the correct BIOS but the check list shows they are missing , i know i can still the play the games but i really want to see the BIOs screen's load before playing!
Thank you for this, I appreciate you friend. You seem knowledgeable with this stuff. I totally forgot about ftp. Hopefully I can squeeze it into my starter guide/ tips and tricks video I'm currently finishing up. I actually don't like to ftp for the initial injection because I usually transfer way too many games and don't like waiting. Thank you again my friend.
True, same here, but every now and then I want to move something around and FTP is great to reduce wear and tear on the sd card slot, I got these snapping on some other devices before so I am avoiding ejecting these too much :D
Did you have to do a lot of work for buttons mapping in each emulator? I tried the install a few weeks ago and had to ditch it because of I couldn’t get half the buttons mapped properly
No everything has been mapped accordingly, from what all I have tested. Only thing I would do is switch the a/b select options in the menu because by default they set like playstation. Thanks for coming by my friend. Don't hesitateto reach with any other questions.
I would not recommend the change for now. It’s too unstable . Even though it definitely looks great after a while I can’t get the decide to boot again. I could only have it booting after flashing stock os all over again. Any tips on that?
@@2LoudTech it booted just fine the first time. I got to use it for like 1 hour. Once I rebooted it never came on again. Like no led , no boot image, nothing. The device wouldn’t power at all.
