I want to give a couple of additonal info for everyone with the RG35XX Plus. You can actually play dreamcast and PSP games that require thump sticks. Here is how: - Start the game that you want to play - press the menu button till the menu pops up - go to settings "Control" - cross "allow combo inputs" - configure the d-pad, so that for example, the LZ button needs to be pressed addionally if you want to use the d-pad - map the thump stick to the d-pad - Save and enjoy! From my testing, the stock firmware is better calibrated to play dreamcast and psp. Especcially dreamcast runs great one there! To switch from d-pad to thumb-stick input on the stock firmware, press the powerbutton one time in game!
Hey maybe you can help me. I’ve tried to do this install about 6 times now and each time I do it I don’t get the share partition folder. I just get 2 of the same batocera partitions. Idk what I’m doing wrong. Is there anyway you can help?
@@edgelordlive1801 just figured this out myself actually. After initial flash eject SD from your computer, put your SD card back into the handheld then turn it on and fully let it load. After that, shut it back down and plug your SD card back into the computer it should now have the share folder available. Hope this helps!
I have like 7 modded hand held systems. I have no need for this device. Yet, I ordered one off ebay yesterday lol. I've heard good things about this alternate firmware and am looking forward to installing it.
Stock OS on the RG353P was great. Stock OS on this looks like it was made in 2020. It's horrible, but it boots up in like 20 seconds. This Batocera Koriki takes a minute and a half to boot up on a dual card set up. You also can't save any RetroArch settings. But the GUI looks way better.
I'm having a blast playing Tactics Ogre (PSP), Skies of Arcadia (DC) and Legend of Dragon (PS1) on my RG35XX+. Even changed all the boot, shutdown and loading animations using Linux. If there are custom firmwares that make the processes easier, they are always welcome.
Been trying to get this to work on rg35xx plus for the last week. Flashed it to multiple cards and sizes. All goes fine. But it never boots the console. Cannot get any card to boot. So frustrating. So I'm back to stick FW for now. FYI if you go into the main retroarch settings you can set the analogue controls to map the dpad for consoles such as n64 and dreamcast.
I flashed the latest version of Koriki this week on my rg35xx and it's working fine, but the f(share) drive must be deleted and recreated in fat32 format, then on next boot the rom folders will be created. It seems more stable than the previous versions I had tried. I had extremely bad experiences with garlic os so I tried Koriki and it's way better.
Great video. Quick question: After I setup the custom firmware on a separate micro SD card, will I be able to go back to stock OS when pop back the Anbernic SD card? Also will Pico-8 games work too?

I was able to re-format them and get them back to 128GB but it erases the card and im back at square 1. What am i doing wrong??????
Just figured it out. Go to the game and before you are going to select it to play it, Long Press on B and then a menu will pop up and Add to Favorites is in the middle of that menu.

Does this firmware actually improve in-game performance over the stock (such as with your apparent surprise with Ridge Racer), or is it purely aesthetic/QoL for UI? Or is it yet to be tested side-by-side?
That is a good question. I know GTA Vice City Stories ran pretty good on stock minus some slow down in crowded areas but overall a good experience. I just don't like the stock UI at all. Systems not in order, games not in order, etc.
I was never all that bothered by the stock OS of these handhelds. But I switched over to Koriki on my RG35XX H and holy crap I love it. Feels like an actual console! There are minor things about it I don't like, but customization and how "complete" it makes things feel far outweigh the downsides for me.
This great video I'll have too wait till I have install new screen for my RG35XX plus first but doe's this come with n64 file because mine didn't come with it stock
Hi, I'm receiving soon my rg35xx h, and I want to know what is the "best" CFW I can install on it (or is Koriki/Batocera the only one existing for H today) ? Or in term of performances, do you recommend me staying with the stock OS ? Thanks !
At the time of making the video, I think it's the only CFW that is out for the H. Not sure if MinUI will update and be available for the H soon or not. Also, GarlicOS should be eventually coming out with a version for the H. As far as what is the "best CFW for you" that's really going to be up to you. If this doesn't look to be your cup of tea, wait for a bit and see if either MinUI or Garlic drop for the H.
