This is great! I don't mind the sock firmware and now it looks even better with the box art! But I use Batocera on my RG35XX-H and I have like 80 systems on mine, all working, all with box art, and 97% of them with PREVIEW VIDEOS!! Where's your preview videos, Javi?? 🤣
What I like about mine is since I have so many games, it will play a random video when in screen saver mode. All I have to do from that point is press start and I'll jump right into that game! I've found many gems I've never heard about that way! Always something new to play! It's awesome!!

Will the video box art work ?
Does it detect duplicates? for example, if I do a scrape, and then add some games, does it only scrape the new games the next time? or should I have a specific folder for the new ones to scrape before transferring it to the device? Thanks for all the videos! you've really helped me master my RG35xx Plus. And as someone new to this space, it's been a great help! Cheers
7:02 Not an expert like Javi clearly is, but I think that if you uncheck the 'Cleanup' box under the Output Folder path, and ONLY check the system(s) of which you want to scrape the new games, it will only update the images for the ones you've added.

I notice that the ROMS name on the SD card directory is different, Could you help to list it for us, For Example in the video Sege Genesis ROM folder is named "MD" and such. Really grateful for all your help! Got my first Retro handheld RG35XXH from watching your videos.

Do you know what system you should use to scrape images for the "PORTS" romfolder? I got a ROM collection in a preloaded folder called "PORTS". I tried some systems like commodore 64 and MAME but it scrapes nothing.

I have a question though, is it possible to change the names of the ROMs in the RG35XX Plus?
I saw that in the RG35XX there was a mame.csv file, but I cannot seem to find it in the RG35XX and I added some new games and they do not show the name of the game, just the name of the file.

I know that two of the same model can for sure, but I haven't been able to verify if the H can play with the PLUS model. Much love man keep up the fantastic work.
Yes he can play with you. Just make sure you know which games support multiplayer aka Netplay

Javi, would this be the same steps for Batocera 40? I followed this for the stock OS but now I'm exploring Batocera. I know that the RG35xxh has a way to scrape from there via Batocera but it's slow. Thanks.

Each box art is around 80kb to 150kb, in JPG or PNG format. It is possible to place several. 2,000 images would take up very little... 50mb-100mb... maybe less, much less.

I know I'm late to the party, but, is there no way to run stock OS on a 128GB SD card? Cause I'm fine with the stock OS, but I like the heavy titles the RG35XX H can run, and those require a 128GB at least
I dont recommend a single card setup. Its possible but next week Anbernic will release a new update and youll need to reflash your sd. So use a 16GB or 32GB for you OS AND a 128GB for your games
having wifi but no capability of auto scraping in Stock os is deal breaker for me
Hi I have seen you unchecked the manuals download from the scraper, would you know if this device with the stock FW can read the manuals also? It does have an ebook reader now, so maybe... Though I wouldnt know in which folders to out them. Would be cool if it read the preview videos also
Ebook reader is txt only so i dont think it will work. Sadly... I do love manuals

There is also a video folder in the root of the SD card but no video player app that I can find... However music player works fine. Seems as usual a bit half baked, but it's good enough, though irritating that does not support full height images for the boxart :(

Looking forward to getting this done soon. But I just have to say my H and my three kids Plus versions all have one micro SD card. We all have a 64 GB micro card. And correct me if I'm wrong but it's kind of pointless or difficult to have a one card setup with stock OS. Because we're not really using all the available memory. And it doesn't let us add more games even though the memories is there? Only thing OS I'm able to use with the one card setup to allow me to use all the memory is the Mod3 stock OS. And I'm pretty contempt with it but I am looking to getting a two-card set up soon. And would like to know if it would be easier that way to keep all my ROMs and saves on the second micro card. Also will allow me to swap out my first micro card with different OS? Appreciate any help thank you.
You can do a one card setup, but it's a bit more complicated. Basicallt download the 64GB version of the firmware. This will come in like 10 parts. Select all the parts and extract them together to form one 64GB image. Flash this image with rufus and then when it is done put it into your device and so a first boot. Youll notice its full of games. If you dont mind using Anbernics games youre done. If not, shutdown put the sd card back in the pc and delete all the games belongings to anbernic to make space for your own games. Then add back your own games and follow this tutorial later to add boxart. Hope this helps 🙏
does retroachievements only work if you launch the game from retroarch? can't do this fire setup and get them right?

Yeah, if you dont like boxart, they chose. This is more if you put on your own games

I got everything set up this morning and scraped about 3-4 systems before I had to eject the SD card and close the Skraper app. I came back a few hours later, reloaded the app and inserted the SD card but now every single time I try and scrape the art I get these errors:

Sorry to hate on this but I really dislike this layout.. I think it makes the list look messy and unprofessional. Just boxart is way cleaner just mt 2 cents
I usually use 2D Boxart but this is basically the only way this will work well with the current update.
but the frontend of these h700 retro consoles squishes the images to a specific aspect ratio which makes box arts that are square and portrait look terrible.
