@@cyrussnow6060 what price? I mean i get it was the original flavour of the colour, but those days are long gone. Now you can get a 3/3 flyer lifelink deathtouch for 3 mana, in fact it has a ton of creatures with lifelink, for a while in standard it had a pw capable of making 2/2 tokens untap, with integrated removal and a game ending ultimate, vito for example is all upside as long as you get life and the same goes for other cards, tegrid rewards you for making the oponent sacrifice and discard, but doesn't ask anything from you, and the creature exiles it got are all upside, sometimes we still get something really flavourful in black like the 7/6 dinosaur, but i feel like black has mostly move passed the "power at a cost" mantra of the past
And also losing life and his own creatures.
Black has gone past "power at any personal price" to "power at any price from anyone", ironically making it more Black. Black has become Vantablack.
If you really want to annoy some people you should take life-gain of white completely and give it to black. Give it just a little bit more support - more Ajani's Pridemate-esk creatures (like the Bloodthirsty Aerialist), more payoff cards like Vito, create the equivalent of Heliod in black. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
