@Lone Ranger I am specifically talking about the Convention for Extension of Hong Kong Territory, and specifically about the term that said 99 years, signed in 1898 and ending 1997, the Brits accepting a *99 year lease* because Claude Macdonald, the British rep, felt that 99 years was "as good as forever".
That treaty also extended to increasing the size of Britain's already established colony there, in an attempt to extend it for *200 miles*
So while Britain had the colony for longer (since 1841) specifically my comment, *which discussed the 99 year lease agreement* was *only* discussing *the 99 year lease agreement*

I started watching videos about Teslas because my wife’s Lexus ES300h will come off lease in a little more than a year. She’s always liked the look of Tesla but isn’t interested in one. I thought now would be a good time to “get her into one”, but I needed to do some research so I could can be the one to sell her with real facts. After watching this excellent review, I’m thinking this isn’t the car for her. I’m a gadget freak; she’s not. I’m the same kid at Christmas as our host when app updates come in. My wife could care less. I think it would bug the crap out of her to have to open the glovebox with a second-level menu selection. It would bug me too! Opening the front trunk isn’t intuitive? C’mon…. I think it would even drive me crazy if menu selections keep moving around.
I get the sense that you have to be a certain kind of person to get into the Zen of this car. I’ll bet I could be that person (although I love my Audi and not interested in switching at the moment). But I don’t think my wife would be. She’s a “set it and forget it” person when it comes to tech. And before anyone thinks I’m short-selling my wife, I’m not in the slightest. She and I have surprisingly different styles for two people who have been married for 42 years. We still chuckle when we encounter our different approaches to things. I am just saying I think that the operating paradigm that I just was introduced to is going to be so odd for some people that it will be a deal-killer.

Before the EU brought the hammer down and forced almost all makers to use Micro USB, you literally had to have a sea of cables to charge all your phones. Friends coming over could NEVER use your phone charger. And of course Apple evaded that forced conversion with their LIghtning-cables they simply provieded a 10€ Lighting-to-Micro-USB adapter for
Over here in Germany, most charging stations are now Type 2. DC Quick-chargers have three cables - ChadeMo, CSS and Type 2 as a backup. Ideally you would get rid of Chademo soon and just have the Type 2 and CSS left, because CCS is basically Type 2 at the top plus 2 more leads at the bottom for a total of five.
The Model 3 comes with a Type 2 charging port in Europe as well. So ideally we will get rid of Teslas charging ports altogether pretty soon and have everyone charge with CCS in Europe and the Supercharger network not even existing here.

Yeah! It was a Sennheiser AVX with an MKE-2 lavalier. We loved the versatility but wanted better sound quality so we actually just ordered an insane amount of audio gear to completely transition over to lavs for all our videos so we can move around and be a little more engaging. :)

Very good video that gives a balanced review of the car. My paint job was not as bad, but the paint chips are significant. If you buy paint protection film for the front of the car when it is brand new, I think that would mitigate that problem.

@@TheTmat007 I find it to be similar to a BMW 3 series suspension. So, stiffer than something like an Accord, but for me, it's a nice balance of handling and comfort.

@Terry Melvin yes, the material itself is not expensive but the process and labor is what you pay for. Wraps here in NY used to pretty cheap, you could find a place for 3k but now that same place charges 5k today. I've heard of ppl paying close to 10k, at that price just paint the car.

The reason the speedometer, tachometer and other gauges on behind the steering wheel is for safety. A driver can simply move their eyes down and back up without head movement and without loosing site of the road. Having the gauges as part of the display (which I personally think makes the car look cheap) causes the driver to move not only their eyes but their head as well. Even if you didn't move your head to the right, moving your eyes to the right (or left) has been proven to cause the driver to steer in that direction.
Not a well thought out design. Still have a long way to go before I drop any amount of money on one of these, but it is starting to look promising.
