I would disagree, and only one aspect with your comment. Jay Leno’s garage videos to have a style all their own. Blending entertainment with pure technical substance is a fine art that Leno’s Garage is wonderful at. 2 months ago i was making fun of Tesla. My daughter brought one over from a Tesla test drive. The next day i owned a model Y performance. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. This car is simply amazing. Faster than almost every car on the road, 105 mpge, costs me $7 to fill up. Never going back
Same!!! This model y performance will embarrass 90 percent of the cars on the road. I’m at about $4-5 to fill up…I did really want the model X (came from a Jeep grand Cherokee)…but this 1.9apr special on model y was too good to pass up lol
Same here. I just got a model y for the wife. Never buying gas... i may pick up another one in another year for me. It's an absolutely incredible driving experience!!
Jay's channel is an old school heaven for reviewing cars. He had the designer and the chief mechanic of the car invited and not some PR guy. Jay is the last of the Mohicans of "car guy era" that gives its place to an IG and TikTok reviewers of bling bling garbage.
@henrykissinger4479 Gotta be fair, Tesla has been putting these two guys (and good guys they are) out in front in so many public discussions. It's a great idea, they both come across as genuinely interested in getting things right. The fact that they highlight the way all the teams work together is a huge part of how Tesla is so efficient. Ford sort of said the same thing when they talked about the stuff they missed out on the Mach-E. Look up the Munro videos where they compared the Model Y to the Mach-E. The cooling system alone was a disaster for Ford in terms of how much it cost them in efficiency. I seriously would not want to own one of those when it gets to be a few years old.

Most American car by location of assembly and parts content. Never once thought of buying an American car before because the Japanese vehicles were just plain superior. Tried a Model 3 and it heavily swayed my opinion of American vehicles. Proud to own an American vehicle now and doing nothing aside from rotating tires and cabin filters is absolutely amazing. I love my rotary powered vehicles, but there's absolutely no replacement for instant torque and power from an EV. It never gets old getting that instant take off from a light. Every time I watch and listen to Franz von Holzhausen I am amazed at how modest this man is. He has designed virtually every Tesla vehicle including the cyber truck, and semi truck, with the exception of the first generation roadster. N my eyes, he is an absolute genius.
Well cybertruck was kind of designed by Elon which shows - these are essentially my initial less sophisticated sketches from a kindergarten. The designers hated this design but Elon loved it. At least according to the latest biography.

@aswinhanagal4293 yeah you are correct, I was just watching this one review from a professional channel (can remember which one), which is two British guys reviewing cars. They were just super apathetic towards the car, they called it boring and so on, and you can tell they had to do the review because it was their job but they didn't like the car. Jay Leno in the other hand, has decades of knowledge in cars, he only talks about a car if he is interested in it, and he always aims the reflector in the positive aspects of the cars he reviews, because you can tell he likes them. Other car journalists do more loose pieces, some time they seem a bit forced, many time they have sponsors behind, or poke into this anti ev sentiment for views.
There is something so nostalgic and wholesome that I just love about Jay Leno's garage. Plus the production quality combined with simplicity is fantastic! Thank you Jay for sticking with us on RUclips!
This is another thing that makes Tesla great- Head engineer, designer coming on a show like this, talking about the car that they are obviously passionate about. Thanks Jay!
In a traditional company no one in the company is allowed to open their mouth without a written permission from the PR department. Apparently Elon runs his companies differently.
My 2014 Model S has 161k+ miles as of this post and still performs like new. By far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Thank you Tesla. And thank you Jay for featuring so many great cars on your channel.
That's sweet! I always worried that original Tesla batteries wouldn't be able to go the distance. Hoping the LFP batteries in my Tesla will outlive the car!
@@5836609 Now at 162k miles, retains 90% of its original SOC. This is on par for most Tesla’s of of this age with this many miles. You can also find crowd sourced data that show where the majority of Tesla battery degradation is at different intervals. At 200k, according to crowdsourced data points, I expect it to be closer to have 88% of its original SOC. At this rate, think my wife and I will get another 10 years out of this battery. Maybe after 20 or so years, we’ll think about maybe getting a battery swap. It’s grandfathered into unlimited free Supercharging, so it’s a keeper. 🙂
That engineer: so knowledgeable. The designer also knew when to make a point. I think quite a bit of the hard work is easy to overlook when you do a rudimentary comparison of this redesign. I understand that it doesn’t look vastly different; the Porsche 911 is praised for this minimalism in change.
I think it does look vastly different. I've wanted a model 3 since it was announced. I thought it was ugly. It grew on me through the years, and when finally seeing one in real life, I loved it. I was close to buying one in late 2019. I even test drove the dual motor, which is what I wanted to purchase. It was the nicest car I ever drove. The most expensive car my husband and I owned was a 2002 Saab 9 3 manual. We love manuals. I decided to wait to buy one until after battery day that was supposed to happen in late March 2020. Then the pandemic hit. I personally like the outside of the original design over the refresh. I don't like that they removed the stalks either. I'm waiting for safer batteries and hopefully batteries that don't need mining. Plus, I love my 2011 Chevy Cruze eco manual. It still is fine and currently I don't drive much. The Model 3 will be a HUGE upgrade when I finally get one :).

Jay might remember West Street Motors when living in the Merrimack Valley. In 1968 a friend of mine bought a 98 Oldsmobile there and was constantly bringing it back to resolve a hissing noise. Eventually the owner of the dealership took notice and asked him why he was there so often, so he explained about the hissing noise the guys had been getting beat up by and hadn't been able to fix. So the owner pulled the file on the car and started going through the laundry list which started with the muffler, resonator going on to then include the headers, then weather seals, replace windshield, side view mirrors, heads, alternator, water pump, radiator, power steering pump, blower, ac system, front wheel bearings, front brakes, rear brakes, rear axle, drive shaft, entire engine, transmission, etc, etc and after all that it still wasn't fixed. The owner asked for the keys and took it for a drive and yes it still made this weird hissing noise so he rolled down all the windows and stuck his head out. When they got back he asked them to change the tires to a set from a new 1968 98 Olds that was in the showroom that didn't hiss and the hiss went away. A slight variation in the tires was the cause of the problem that the mechanics couldn't figure out. Tires can sometimes make some odd noises that are hard to pin down. The owner of the dealership was not very happy yet glad to have stopped the bleeding. Best!
Tires, makes sense. Thought it would be a loose vacuum hose under the dash. Or the radio was on an unused channel, turned down but not off. Tires on my M3 sound loud as hell because there’s no other sound to mask them.
Former Service Manager at a Buick Dealership and I am guessing this was around 1994. Customer brought in a Park Avenue with a small weird vibration around 56 mph. Hard to pick up on but once you felt it you would always feel it. Drove another Park and vibration wasn't there. Spent some time trying to isolate but it turns out to be a rim and tire combo. Rim with other tires didn't do it and tires with different rim didn't do it. Customer opted for different tires so problem solved.
If any car enthusiast could just sit still for 8 mins and listen from the 9 min mark to 17 mins..... You Americans should be very proud of what Tesla has acheived.
Wait a year if possible and get the refreshed Y. Much bigger and usuable space will look different and be even more improved compared to the 3 refresh as well
M3 if you don’t need the extra space and room. It’s about the same price right now too. I bought my MYLR two weeks ago and I absolutely adore it. Love driving it.
As a current owner of a Tesla, I can easily say it has been the best car we have ever owned. My Model Y is a 2021 and is just about 3 years old. No Issues! We've heard it all: "it doesn't save money" OH yes it does! we average about 18K miles/yr. Electricity cost? about $60/mo. Thats easily 1/3 cost to drive. "What about battery?" No noticeable change in range, and the sats are less than 3% ever need a battery serviced (8 year warranty anyway) Speed? Well I like to say this car goes 0-100 SMILES-AN-Hour better than any. Don't hesitate to consider one of these. They really are fast, fun, safe and now affordable.
Yes, but all the haters have never owned one. People who own them love them. They have the highest owner brand loyalty and retention in history. But hey...what does that mean?
I've had my Model 3 with FSD for 5 years and I love it! It continually gets better. Feels like I have a new car with every major update. And I've had zero problems with it. Just rotating tires, wiper blade replacements and a cabin air filter. I will never go back to an ICE car or hybrid.
I was going to buy one, but the cost of insurance has me pulling the reins in, the cost of comprehensive insurance was high with all the usual suspects. Some companies even declined the quote citing the brand as the reason. Any savings on gas would dematerialize with the insurance payments, unless opting for liability only or 2500 deductibles. This is for NY though, ymmv.
This is the first Tesla that really makes sense to me...but my problem is the same problem that most buyers have...Even $40 grand is a lot of money, and most people do not have such a lump in the bank!...so, I guess I could sell my 2019 KIA Sorento (with today's inflated used car prices) for maybe $20 grand, and put that down on this cool Tesla. But that leaves me with a monthly car payment of 3-4 hundred bucks, for 4 or 5 years!...So, the money I save on gas, goes to the car payment anyway! The only way to make sense of owning an electric car, is to pay the total cost up front!...The situation for me, makes no sense from an economic standpoint--and my Sorento model has nearly 300hp, so it is quick for an SUV, has more room than the Tesla, and is a reliable car. I do spend around $250/month on gas, but at least I own my KIA. I an considering buying a used Nissan Leaf in the future, when those OK electric vehicles will be available in the 10-15 grand range. They are not as nice as the Tesla, but make more sense for an average guy like me. If/when I win the Lottery, it will be Tesla time!
Live in Norway where there is a lot of supercharging stations, Teslas and non-Teslas. Have a SR+ 21m, and I am supersatisfied. One thing that strikes me about Model 3 is that is cheap and deliever in so many ways. If you drive your old grandma, she would be happy because you drive careful and it is supersmooth if you want it to be. At the same time you can scare your comrades to death if you use all its power out of the traffic lights. But the one thing that really surprised me is the way it handles corners. I have heard that american cars can't do corners, but this one handle corners in a way that I chicken out long before the car get dangerous. Its almost has the car can follow any legal speed in any corners in country roads. In these roads I many times drives comfortable and follow the speed limit but are gaining on normal cars ahead. The reason are that I can drive fast in corners and can without any stress pick up the speed fast out of the corners. The cars that overtake me, do not follow the speed limit on the open roads. One last thing: The autopilot works so well that the closets thing is BMW or Mercedes that costs 3 times what my car costs.
I think a big part of a Tesla's car cornering can be attributed to the heavy battery packs under the car giving it a very low center of gravity, in addition to its low clearance and tech that gives it great traction. Interstate loop ramps are fun to test out a Tesla's handling, I can quite comfortably go up one at 50mph under dry conditions. It could probably go even faster without the car slipping but I chicken out long before that.
Whatever, they are just designers and engineers. John Delorean thought he was kinda of a rock star too and how’d that work out for him? If anything they are more like a behind-the-scenes producer who turns the art of a musician into a pop record for the masses.

Just bought a used Model 3 and we love it. Seeing the changes they made to the new one is really nice. Great video with the people who actually designed it and thought about how to improve the design and efficiency of the Model 3 which was already a great vehicle.
I always look to Jay for an informative review of any car. His knowledge and the people he brings along are the best. This review has got me seriously contemplating purchasing a Tesla Model 3. I'm hoping the incentives make it possible...
Doesn't all the tesla clickbait seem silly now? So many mountains out of mole hills. If the same scorn was pointed at ICE cars they would be considered Everest!
I just bought a used 2023 M3LR and coming from a VW GTI. I absolutely love how the Tesla drives. I was concerned about "harsch ride" based on reviews, but my experience is that the ride Is smoother than the GTI, while still retaining the fun factor. It is also more quiet on the inside, despite installing sound deadening materials in my GTI. I loved the GTI, but the Tesla is just an awesome car and on another level.
And yet if you cornered Elon, or any of the management team and asked them in private, with deniability, they would tell you it's MUCH easier dealing with China in every respect ("Respect" being the key) Not to mention faster factory build, more motivated, higher quality workforce with more pride in their work, building a better product..... . Prove me wrong.
Also, once you get a Tesla, you just charge it like your phone or your laptop. Range and charging time are all acceptable, but not the main things you think about. You just TOP IT OFF now and then. I never think about range now that I drive a Model 3. I just plug it in every 2 or 3 days to top it off.
Tesla engineer: we put 500 hours into figuring out how to strengthen, lighten, and sound proof our glass all at once. Jay: yeah the steering wheel is smaller isn’t it
This is a prime example of my only issue with Jay's style: Sometimes I feel he unintentionally just blows past what someone says and then just goes on to the next topic. Still love him regardless, though.
Jay - The amount of batteries equivalent to one gallon of gas makes no sense when you consider the same battery will cycle thousands of times but one gallon of gas was used up in say 50 miles needing hundreds of more gallons of disappearing fuel or perhaps thousands of equivalent for the same recyclable battery over 500,000 miles lifetime plus your EV can power the grid or your home in a power outage
Very cool to add value to an already good car. I bought my Model 3 in 2018 and the wife and I fought over who got to drive it so I had to buy her one too😀. would love to know why they are so against a head up display and why buttons for indicators are better than stalks especially on roundabouts (which we have a lot of in the UK)
You don't need a HUD on an Autonomous car. You're moving your eyes 10° left (UK) to see the speed rather than 15°down... whatever. (Actually, as a tall driver, I HATE looking "through" the wheel) . When I "approach" a roundabout, I tend to indicate *before* I'm turning. If I'm turning "right" (3rdexit?) and it's a large roundabout, the wheel is going to be at about 45° and decreasing as I indicate left.... So no problem. . If it's a small one, once the right indicator is on, it's obvious where your going. .
@@rogerstarkey5390 yes, tall people like us actually often can't see the hud through the wheel properly, if at all. That's why the plaid yoke and the center screen are actually great for us

I like the new design, but I actually prefered the old duck/fish look, I feel like it kinda had more personality. The old model's headlight resembled Porsche Panamera a bit, while the new design looks more like Audi. I dislike Audis so my bias might be coming from there as well 😝
Yes, Jay, it's the road surface that's making that noise. I noticed it when I drive in California on the I-10, at about Palm Springs and other areas where road resurfacing is taking place. There's a seam in the road in some lanes. And if your tires get right on top of the seam, it buzzes. That's because the seam is textured with cris-cross like marks in the new asphalt.
How much are the tires average on the Model 3 and how long is the tread life average? I heard they were super expensive compared to a gas car and tread life is poor.
The lifespan of a Tesla Model 3's thread can vary depending on factors such as driving habits, road conditions, maintenance, and tire quality. On average, tires for a Tesla Model 3 can last anywhere from 20,000 to 60,000 miles, or even more in some cases. Regularly rotating the tires, maintaining proper tire pressure, and driving carefully can help extend the lifespan of the tires. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for tire maintenance and replacement intervals to ensure optimal performance and safety. How many years have you been using it?
Tire wear is applied torque related. Also maximum torque. If you drive nice then tires last. If you use the ample torque often then less life. The latest Ford, GM, Ram heavy pickups with diesels have short rear tire life for lots of my friends.
My nephew got his first Tesla Model 3 in January. He first wanted to get a Mustang GT, but I sent him all the Tesla related information he needed before making his final decision. As an owner of an electric car my best advice is buy a cheap used one before you go all in. There is a lot to learn and you won’t learn if it will actually work for you until you try it. They make a great second car as long as you can plug it into your garage at night. Our other car is a hybrid so it works out great. I charge my electric car at 110v for my 12 mile commute and we use it on the weekends for local travel and the hybrid if we need to go far. I have never used a charging station and likely never will. It takes too long. I have a Nissan Leaf and I got a new battery under warranty. Very helpful. The range usually quoted has nothing to do with the real world. Cut it in half to be safe when making a decision. I bought it as a toy/novelty and while it has more or less served my needs I almost certainly wouldn’t do it again. I would absolutely buy another hybrid.
@@rogerstarkey5390 no need to be rude. I have no use for a charging station because I live in Las Vegas which is land locked so I don’t leave the city. I try to charge my battery gently and I think a 110v charge up to 80% may extend battery life. My battery was upgraded when it was replaced under warranty and my range went from 100 to 200 miles. My previous battery had degraded to 60% after five years. The idea of dropping my car off to wait for a charge on a regular basis seems tedious and would not work in for people who live in an apartment. Electric cars are having a very hard time being accepted as primary transportation. They do make a good second car under the right circumstances but people are realizing they are not for everyone .
It's great the Leaf works for your uses, as a second car. My advice, if anyone wants an EV as a *first* car, get a Tesla, for its longer range, faster charging and the Supercharger network. It will cost more though, better usually does. A three year old used model 3 would still have a year of warranty left and five years of battery and drivetrain warranty.
@@arbitrary76 I do agree the Tesla is a great car but buyers do have to question carefully whether it will work for them. Range is a big issue here in the desert and Tesla has done a great job putting charging stations in the middle of nowhere but it is still down time in a place you probably don’t want to be.
Getting rid of the stalks is such a dealbreaker for most of the world where roundabouts are common. In every video I've seen the driver has to look down to find the right button every time. Why break something that wasn't broken?
That is the driver’s fault. There is a line coming out in the middle. I keep my finger there and the utility comes out when needing to use directions. It tells you easily to just softly tap your finger up or down that line. I think Tesla needs to explain that more.
Thanks to Jay for the video. I am not a big fan of Tesla but I can appreciate the amount of research, engineering, design and Technology thats into all the Teslas. There are no doubts they are here to change the way we move and we transport stuff. I hope for the better. 😊

I love my Model 3. I have about a 100 reasons why. Hate brake dust on your wheels? You'll love regenerative breaking. In 4 years total maintenance cost 86.00. It goes on and on.
how to tell everyone you didn’t read the manual. You are missing lots of services. Hahahahahah Tell us, does it require antifreeze for the cooling system? How about grease for the ball bearings etc? Or tires excessive wear? O how about what does it say on charging within 60 feet of a building?
I have a 2023 MYLR and it is great. My last 3 cars were Honda accords (all got 225k+) and I find a similar engineering ethic. Just build a quality, safe, reliable car that looks great and ignore the marketing and it will sell itself. Great cars.
Isn't it funny how great teslas actually are compared to how egotistical grease monkeys assume they are? In historical order it goes walking, horses, steam, internal combustion, then NO MORE! ICE FOREVER! Never listen to luddites!
@@spacep0d haptic makes no difference if the wheel is upside down and moving. The problem is that particularly in tighter multi-lane roundabouts is that you need to switch from indicating one way to the other mid turn while watching other for other cars. The steering is actually turned more than 100º. I don't have the same reservations with the steer-by-wire in the cybertruck because the wheel/yolk does not move as much and the position of the indicator is much more predictable.
Great review, and always nice to see Franz and Lars. However on Jay's side it's a pity there were no uncomfortable questions. Nothing is perfect and Tesla has its own problems. I have been a long time supporter of Tesla and I truly admire them for what they did. Just had enough of the gas cars, however having no (justified) criticism is not doing them good...Removing the gear shift was a bad decision, with already bad implications, removing the ultrasonic sensors from model X same, and I can keep going...Also would like to note that Tesla in US is much much better than in EU (Spain) for instance, where it took 4 months for Holaluz to make a PW work in our house, an opposite experience from what we had in US. Like Elon said, one needs to be passionate about working for Tesla not just to have a job. Lots of of those people in Tesla/EU, not really promoting the company's goals...Lately been interested in purchasing another X (3rd) and the sales guys here show almost no interest...
The instant torque has to be driven to truly understand. I hear the supercharged mustang next to me spool up and shift .... by then I'm already gone and laughing!
Still bugs me that in the update they gave the back seat a pointless screen and still haven't given the driver one (or a HUD). And don't get me started on removing the indicator stalk.
I really thought I'd miss the HUD, coming from vehicles that had projected HUD's on the windscreen, I really liked them, even looked at aftemarket options for the Tesla before I got it. Once I started driving it, it really wasn't an issue at all. Didn't bother with getting an aftermarket HUD, zero need for it.
Re the stalks, again zero issue whatsoever. Most owners after a week or two say they would never go back. I did this video after having the car two days - ruclips.net/video/ImraaTKKTGc/видео.html They took all of five minutes to get completely used to.
My 2018 performance 3 has been an excellent car. I hear the new version is next level still. I’m avoiding a test drive thing as I don’t want to upgrade yet. lol

Supposedly, there’s a new Model Y coming with all of the Model 3’s improvements.

Great car, great price but please can we have indicator stalks and driver display for speed and range. Hate that screen in the middle!

"Where we're going, we don't need indicators"
I really like how Lars is 100% on the details of the product..... shows the passion in his job with Tesla.
would love to know why they are so against a head up display and why buttons for indicators are better than stalks especially on roundabouts (which we have a lot of in the UK)
You don't need a HUD on an Autonomous car.
You're moving your eyes 10° left (UK) to see the speed rather than 15°down... whatever.
(Actually, as a tall driver, I HATE looking "through" the wheel)
.
That's why the plaid yoke and the center screen are actually great for us
Here in Norway we definitely miss a front fog-light and a back windshield viper from the car, as there can be winters here, obviously with fog and snow and much rain.
Have driven a car in Norway for 40 years. Never had fog lights or rear wiper. Never missed it either.
The best RUclips video of 2024!! The "Big" guys from Tesla hosted by Jay Leno! Thanks so much! Love the car BTW!
Is the build quality good ?
The engineer in the back seat whenever Jay floors the accelerator. ;P Meanwhile, Franz is totally calm and cool. He knows Jay's gonna giver at any point.

@@burgers8 yes, i mistyped. I've fixed it. ;)
Love these segments! Jay - Thanks for sharing your love of vehicles and for bringing Lars and Franz to your garage and share more details. Awesome!
The front end looks sooo much better now without that duck look. Nice job Tesla.
I thought it looked like a frog. Ha ha. But it grew on me and I don't like the way the refresh looks. It is more efficient, so I like that.
I like the new design, but I actually prefered the old duck/fish look, I feel like it kinda had more personality. The old model's headlight resembled Porsche Panamera a bit, while the new design looks more like Audi. I dislike Audis so my bias might be coming from there as well 😝
Cod fish look, love it.
What surprised me is the amazing sound system in model 3 with dual motor.
How much are the tires average on the Model 3 and how long is the tread life average? I heard they were super expensive compared to a gas car and tread life is poor.
My tires are six years old. I will change them at ten years.
Marketing tip:
Best to say the vehicle is:
“Less Expensive” OR
“More Affordable”
VS
“Cheaper”
"Bang for buck"
As a 2018 Tesla Model 3 LR owner (best car we ever bought - almost 90k miles on it) - we love our Tesla (and it's red too) :) Great video! Thank you!
My nephew got his first Tesla Model 3 in January. He first wanted to get a Mustang GT, but I sent him all the Tesla related information he needed before making his final decision. What a great car, I love it. I can't wait for the refreshed Model Y which will be even better. Tesla is really doing a great job here.
The Los Angeles freeways and tires create that crazy noise.....drives me crazy but not a Tesla problem.
You really don't have a clue about charging, do you?
.
You advise people to "try it", but *you* haven't actually "tried it"?
Jay: "it's great, now you can charge to 100%!". The Tesla boys: "Well, it's not that simple and it's not new, but sure, ok."
During the ride you can see on Franz's face the tension thinking: "this old man could kill us any second"
Thanks to Jay for the video. I am not a big fan of Tesla but I can appreciate the amount of research, engineering, design and Technology thats into all the Teslas. There are no doubts they are here to change the way we move and we transport stuff. I hope for the better. 😊
Jay showcases ALL KINDS of cars on this channel, many of them his own, so if you don't like one, just watch something else.
Or tell you Tesla lovers how bad they actually are. Tell you what pal, you do you and i'll do me. You dont need to tell me whats best for me. Thanks anyway
I love my Model 3. I have about a 100 reasons why. Hate brake dust on your wheels? You'll love regenerative breaking. In 4 years total maintenance cost 86.00. It goes on and on.
how to tell everyone you didn’t read the manual. You are missing lots of services. Hahahahahah
Tell us, does it require antifreeze for the cooling system? How about grease for the ball bearings etc? Or tires excessive wear? O how about what does it say on charging within 60 feet of a building?
That's awesome! What maintenance did you have to do? Tire rotations and cabin air filter?
@@ledzeppelin1212 Cabin air filter and brake fluid check. Tires are next.

Dude you are such a clown. You're commenting on every positive post. @Censortubes
Thanks Jay, How does the Tesla work in Minnesota in January?
Just fine, thanks.
No indicator stalks is a deal breaker outside of the US where we have roundabouts and actually use indicators.
People will get used to the haptic switches.

22:55 you know the car is killer when you can make one of the main designers of the car genuinely say “whoa!” In the backseat while you drive…
The instant torque has to be driven to truly understand. I hear the supercharged mustang next to me spool up and shift .... by then I'm already gone and laughing!
Really enjoyed this Jay - and you selected the perfect copilots.
