    might be a dumb question cause i’m just getting into videography, but can you shoot SLog3 footage with an anamorphic lens or does the lens effect the Slog3 color?

    • @noisackda2564
      @noisackda2564  3 месяца назад +1

      Not a dumb question at all :) The type of lens does not affect Slog3 color. Just make sure your exposure isn't too dark or too bright and you're good.

    Awesome job. The shots remind me a lot of anime b-roll. I agree with the others, the lens flare is not my thing, but everything else is fantastic. Gonna end up broke watching your channel. I ended up getting the 15mm and should arrive today. FX30 is on the horizon lol. My one sticking point with it is my wife wants me to still do some photography, which from my understanding FX30 is only 10MP and has some other kinks in that department.

    Looks super cinematic. I understand your dilemma between using the Anamorphic and doing simple run and gun vlogging. For me, I'm on a lower level. I'm trying to figure out if putting my ZV-E10 and 11mm f/1.8 on my Crane M3 and just leaving it there is worth the hassle. I figure if Casey Neistat and Peter McKinnon can carry around their larger Canon cameras and those Gorilla pods then I should be able to handle the Gimbal and ZV-E10. I think I can make it work. I don't mind the higher shutter speed for Catalyst but if I need lower shutter speed for lowlight, it will already be on the gimbal.

    • @noisackda2564
      @noisackda2564  Год назад +2

      Thanks Tim! Yeah, it's always a give-and-take situation which tells me one thing. There's a lot of room for improvements beyond the current tech we have and that's really exciting. For me, a gimbal is just too much. I would sacrifice shutter speed and IQ over stability. I think in a couple of years we will have that perfect camera that can do it all. There is a camera out now but I can't seem to remember what it is that has insane IBIS. Almost action cam levels. Let me try and find it.

    do you have a preference between the 24 and 50 and why? I've been eyeing these lens too and leaning towards the 24.

    • @noisackda2564
      @noisackda2564  Год назад +1

      This is a tough call. Depends what you are going to be shooting. The 24mm is for tight areas like filming in a car. It's more versatile IMO but it is also worse in low light since it's an f2.8. It's also massive. The 50 is not as usable for me. I can't really use it indoors but it is faster at f1.8. I feel under the right circumstances it does look more cinematic because of the bokeh it creates. There's also another option that might be best actually and that is the 35mm f1.8. If i had a choice and didn't have any of these I might go for that actually.

  • @NathanJudson-fh5nf

    You have inspired me. I love your style of cinematic vlogging and have been waiting for a video to pop up that pushes me over the edge and makes it feel like it’s a possibility. After seeing your video I went ahead and invested into the Fx30 and 15mm Sony 1.4 lens. I’m curious if you use a handle when vlogging or mic? I want thinking about getting the Sony shooting grip and ECM-B10 mic. I’m a minimalist in life. I want the least amount of gear possible :)

    • @noisackda2564
      @noisackda2564  Год назад

      Amazing! Just do what makes you happy and who cares what others think. We all have different motives for why we create. For me, I love cinematic videos. That's why I vlog this way. As for the mic. I'm very self-conscious when I vlog so I keep a very low profile. The handle is ridiculous to me and would be overkill. I've seen people buy it and immediately sell it. Again it depends on how serious you want to get with this. It may come in handy but as you can see with my vlogs. You don't need it. In fact! If I had the handle attached to it I would never use this camera. Too big and fancy for me. Congrats on the camera :) The FX30 and 15mm is a match made in heaven :)
