- I really like these lenses quite a bit. For the value, you can't go wrong. If you can overlook some of the characteristics these are a great investment into any kit especially if you run on a gimbal and shoot at night often.
Bro you made me buy the 5 set ($1700 cdn) 16, 23, 33, 56, and 75, i’m loving them all! It has this natural soft look all across the focal length giving it that “cinematic” look! Sirui did a great job with these lenses.
Glad you like them :) I totally agree. I hate it when people say these lenses aren't perfect. Well perfect is boring AF. Perfect is a great reason to not buy a lens IMO.
@@noisackda2564 well said, there’s something about the image quality you get from these lenses, it gets rid of that plastic/digital look these other “sharper” lens produce, loving my set so much, keep up the great contents bro! 💙🤙🏽
@@RCGJR_ You got it right there. Perfect lenses look like you are shooting a toothpaste commercial. Lenses with character are what Movie directors gravitate to. They shot some of the Batman movie with a cheap $100 Helios lens. Crazy right?
Thanks for the support man. Appreciate it.
Best natural no fluff, no bs review. This is how reviews are supposed to be.
Thank you so much :) I'm not paid by anyone that's why haha.
They have this beautiful softness to it. Love it👍
I agree! I was surprised by them when I watched the video back. They have a lot of character. Thanks for the comment.
do you use a circular polorizer
@@noisackda2564
Great video showing how amazing these lenses are. Got the silver too!
Thank you! Yeah team silver!!! Lets go!!!
just ordered mine today in silver the 3 lens kit get them on Wednesday for my FX-30 can't wait thx for the video great info !!
Looks great, Noi! Nice to hear about your thoughts. Really like how you put this together 👌
Thank you so much! Really love giving my take on this one since not everyone cares for a super sharp perfect lens. Thanks for the watch and comment.
Hello Noi, I found you on Discord, but actually ran across some of your videos in the past! You bring much knowledge and love the look to your videos! Like the f1.2 on Sirui! I have the ZV-E10, but to make it stabilized would punch the 23 mm too close if I wasn't using a Gimbal. Thanks for the example of how you are using it. Learned some things from you for sure!
Hey man. Thank you so much! Nice to see you here :) If you vlog with the ZV-E10 these are definitely not for you. Great for B-Roll but otherwise a hard skip IMO.
@@noisackda2564I would say save for the sigma 10-18mm 2.8 and use catalyst browse to stabilize footage or get the sigma 16mm 1.4 or Viltrox 13mm 1.4 for vlogging. you could never go wrong with the kit for vlogging just get a Nd filter so u can use the 3.5 aperture to get a decent bokeh.
@@aNumberOne I would stay away from the Sigma 16 honestly. It's an amazing lens but it's super basic and it's big and heavy. Voltrox, the same. I'm not a fan of Viltrox even though I have their 16mm full frame lens. Just too big and ugly lol. For vlogging I would go with either the Sony 15mm F1.4 or the Sony 11mm F1.8. That Sigma you mentioned also sounds really really enticing to be honest.
Wow... been eyeing these for my fuji. Definitely lots of chromatic abborration, but it actually looks really pleasing. The AF is really impressive.
Yeah, these lenses have a lot of characteristics. Now that I've had some time with them they do feel sort of cheap but the performance is quite good. They are coming out with two new ones to this line. A super wide and a 75mm
@noisackda2564 yeah they perform quite well. I'd say if you get a few years out of them you got your money's worth.
I have so many questions but the comments and the answers are so fire, I'll do some shooting with these settings and then circle back. What's a simple way to save all these settings and then load them up when the job requires?
Appreciate it man. Have fun with it! For me, I always shoot one way and never touch settings much. I just make sure I white balance properly and shoot at 1/60 or higher and expose with an ND filter. Not sure if that helps
Pretty sure I saw Facebook ads for this deal awhile back haha! Lenses look dope, great quality for that price!!
Silver looks great!
Yeah the ads got me :( Of course I have zero common sense when it comes to spending wisely so here we are.
@@noisackda2564 lol
@@inspireTVstudios 😬🤣😔
lol at “creates drama. I just made that up” 😂
Haha! It's true
Noi, I am so glad you have been bringing the Gabba Raisin logo back!
So for 1000 buck for 3 lenses is a steal. Man the blow out on some of those lenses reminded of silent hill.
I cannot wait for CRINJA 2 😅
Merry Christmas Noi and Family! 🎄
Hahahahahaha!!!! That Crinja 2 thing was either too corny for RUclips or a stoke of genius. Thanks man. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones as well.
Great video. actually got me to pull the trigger on this lens!
also I really liked the color you used in this video. is it a preset that you made that I can buy?
Nice! I think for the price they are solid. Three lenses for the price of one pretty much and at F1.2. That's sort of unheard of.
As for the color I'm using the Phantom Luts. They are super affordable and 100%v worth it. Thanks for the watch and comment :)
Dang you got a set! Im really close to getting them but I was curious if they were different from the nightwalkers. Also hoping they make a wide too. Looks great awesome job!
Thanks man! Yeah I got them. I mean, I don’t really need them but I couldn’t say no to the price. Plus I bought an anamorphic adapter that pairs really nicely with them. I want to shoot a short movie with the set up though so not sure when that’s going to happen. Might not happen at all 🤣 So busy. I can only do low hanging fruit stuff when it comes to RUclips.
They have a 16mm and 75mm coming
@@noisackda2564 What anamorphic adaptor do you use?
@@simondebrun I'm using the Sirui anamorphic adapter.
@@noisackda2564 ah nice. Do you have a vid on that?
it look cinematic actually
It does, doesn't it? Not bad for the price :)
solid set of lenses
I agree. I really like these after editing it and see the footage on my screen. These are getting a lot of hate though and I don't know what people's criteria is for lenses anymore. These are about 90% as good as any Sony lens from my tests.
I will probably find that one way as a first base and then fissure from there
hi can you share again what lut di you use here? i lost track with your comment with this lut before. thanks
Sure. I'm using Phantom LUTS. My latest video goes through the ones I have
Loved that you did the whole video with actual samples. It looks quite good despite what ive heard from other reviewers. Do you still consider it a value considering the inequalities of the 56mm lens? It seems the other 2 focals have the best qualities.
Thank you :). I find that a lot of reviewers like to repeat what other reviewers say because they are too lazy to do the test themselves. All modern-day lenses are good. Just buy the lens that suits your shoot style and you are golden. As far as do I think it's a good value? If I had to choose only two, I would ditch the 56mm only because it's very situational and I don't really have much use as of right now for it. I don't like to shoot intimate close-ups of people. I prefer to have more of the background in my shots. With that said I think these three lenses as a set is pretty remarkable.
The anamorphic adapter 😮 I didn't see the video you mentioned on your channel yet, looking forward to that 👏 Lenses look really nice, though as you pointed out the 56mm seemed kind of iffy on the autofocus 🤔 how does the anamorphic adapter work on the wider lenses though? I use an adapter too, but I know on the really wider side they can vignette a lot (depending on the adapter of course, etc.). Then again that might not be as prevalent on APS-C lenses? 🤔
Hey Allen, I haven't made a video on it yet but I'm dying to TBH. Just need to find the time. The adapter pairs perfectly with these lenses. Zero vignetting due to the sensor size as you've mentioned :)
Hi, thanks for this video, your color grading is awesome, very cinematic. Tell me more please. Do you shoot in slog3 and colorgrade in post? What lut are you using ? Thanks a lot
Hey! Thanks so much! Yes, I shoot in SLOG3 and color grade with phantom luts :)
@@noisackda2564 cool thank you so much 🙏. I also have a sony fx30 and i just ordered the sirui 23mm (i need wide angle) i need to progress on color grading, are you happy with the autofocus with the 23mm ? congrats for your skills 😊
@@CrangProductions You're welcome :) The 23 is great. I never had issues with autofocus myself, but there is an updated firmware that improves this. If you needed an ultrawide remember they just released a 16mm.
@@noisackda2564 yes i've seen the 16 mm but i think it's too wide for portraits, i don't like it for faces
@@CrangProductions Gotcha! Yeah definitely not good for portraits. 23mm APSC is about 35mm full frame which is good for low distortion. 33mm is probably better for portraits though. I find the 23mm a bit wide personally.
You are great wow
Thank you :)
Does the focus ring have hard stops - or is it focus by wire?
It's focus by wire
Looks fantastic Noi. I'm surprised you aren't completely focusing on full frame now that you have the zv-e1.
Thanks Tim :) Meh. FF is a little overrated going to be honest with you. It's great but so is APSC.
@@noisackda2564 Interesting everybody raves so much about it. Sounds like a good video idea!
@@TimBrownTown Yeah FF makes some things easier like nighttime shooting mostly, but there's nothing you can do with a FF camera that you can't do with an APSC camera. Zero difference in image quality. APSC a little too tight? Take a step backward. There's your full frame. Bad in low light? Get an F1.4 - F1.2 lens there's your full frame.
@@noisackda2564 yeah that's what I was thinking because even with the ZVE 10 and my 1.8 lenses it can get as decent image quality as my eyes can see. It won't see the dark, but if you're shooting what you can't see well it's not going to be good, anyway. Plus, the overall weight is much heavier with FF.
@@TimBrownTown Bingo! Plus there's no reason why anyone should be shooting a night scene and making it look like a day scene. It's so weird to me.
awesome video
Appreciate it :) Thank you.
I was seriously considering these too, even for my full frame. I heard though they were coming out with 16mm f1.2 next, so I'm impatiently waiting...and waiting for your next video (laowa ultra wide?)!
I wasn't going to get these TBH. I have a secondary reason and that's because I needed primes to pair with this new anamorphic adapter I bought.
16mm F1.2 you say?! Very interested in this. Why did you have to tell me this?!?!?! So broke! Thanks for the support man.....
Damn you! Now I'm looking at the Loawa ultra wide!!!! FML!
@@noisackda2564 ha ha... Sorry and you're welcome!
But also, ooh anamorphic adapter... I forgot about that one, so yeah I'll have to pick that up too. Damn you and thank you!
@@BrianCatalano Hahaha! It's quite good! I think you would have a lot of fun with it. At first I didn't know what I was doing with it. Everything was out of focus but I'm getting the hand of it now. Doesn't really work on FF lenses though :(
Where did you hear that?
Waaaait a minute, I found it! A 16mm and a 75mm 1.2 coming!
I’m not sure if I’ve asked this before, but how do you color grade your footage? Just love the colors ❤
Thank you! I use a profile called SLOG3 and I’ll then apply a LUT called Phantom Lut to the footage. That’s pretty much it. I might mess around with the blacks and lights a bit but not much and push the colors to either warmer or bluer tone.
@@noisackda2564 nice! I’m also using phantom luts, is it the Jamaica lut or some other one?
@@LaurensKitchenI think it’s the Arri lite if I’m not mistaken
Thx for info great content
Thank you for watching. Just reporting without bias :)
Great vid as usual, thanks!
I'm thinking about these lenses too, but I'm still on zv e10 :) also thinking about samyang v-af lens pack
Always looking forward to new videos, especially with this anamarfot adapter) Oh, it's gonna be freaking beautiful :D
Thanks man! Honestly, adapter isn't perfect and they are pretty tricky to use but they are so fun to shoot with. Heavy though. I'm also looking at the Samyang V-AF lenses. Apparently, they are making a wider focal range and there's also a rumor that they are going to release an anamorphic adapter for it.
@@noisackda2564 please try to shoot some shots with adapter at night or evening, like with passing cars and streetlights, interesting to see how the adapter and lens will cope with 1.2 in general :)
About v-af, yeah, they're going to! I've even seen a couple previews here on youtube. But so far I've seen comparisons with the same Sigma trio (actually already a quartet) and the Sigma looks better with sharpness and accuracy..
On the other hand, the v-af has all lenses of the same weight and size and match perfectly with fx30 style for ex..)
@@iEkimmu Aw damn it! I wish you wouldn't be telling me all of this. You know I'll need to buy everything now :(
@@noisackda2564 Oh damn, sorry! :D
I am limited from shopping only by the fact that all this gets to me only in 1.5-2 months + additional tax of 18% on top and international shipping)
So you have time to think 10 times whether you really want to wait so long )
But I definitely want a v-af by the time I upgrade to fx30, it's just looks so.. suitably. :)
@@iEkimmu Ahhhh how do you survive!? haha joking :P I can just walk down the street and purchase any lens I want. So sad, but I'll probably get a hold of the 20mm V-AF lens as soon as they launch it so at least I can test it our for you and tell you what I think of it :P
Do you always shoot in SLOG3
Yes always SLOG3. You can pull the image around quite a bit without it breaking apart.
What luts did you used?
I’m using Phantom Luts :)
Insane value, insane chromatic aberration ?
Chromatic aberration can be considered a plus if you like your lenses to have a bit of character.
crinja 2 🤣🤣
😬 Haha! The crazy thing is there isn't even a part 1!
