I have the 33mm and have no issues and very nice photos, although I do own sigma trio and they rule. My sigma 56mm I had had a lot of chromatic aberration in tree limbs easily fixed in Lightroom.
Happy NEW YEAR BRO!!!! Dude! I have been working with the Siriu 35mm 1.33x Anamorphic lens on my bmpcc4k and g95. I am enjoying it. I'm shooting my first documentary right now, I hope to have you at the screening bro! We should talk, I have some clothing to send you as well! Thanks man, these new lenses are neat, the nightwalkers too.
Thank you for sharing Anson, I am a photographer and I would like to know if this lens is primarily designed for video purposes or if it can also be used for still photography.?
I’m planning to use it with canon R5c, majorly for video work. I really liked the look of the nightwalker series but I’d love to have autofocus as well. What would you suggest?
@@Ansonandco Well they don’t have a set but they also have 3 primes 16mm, 30mm, 56mm. Although there aperture is at 1.4. I don’t own either but it sounds based on the reviews to be slightly sharper.
Man, I too wish these were L - mount. I don't mind using converters but that negates the whole advantage of them being light. I think my other issue is that I'm not a big auto-focus shooter anymore, I'd rather take my time and find the focus manually. That being said, I do like this company and what believe they're forward thinking enough to make these L-Mount, FF, and all metal ...wait - did I just describe a SIgma lens?
Not exactly an endorsement, when you have to stop down to f4 to get acceptable footage! How does that work in low-light? bringing a truck full of lights? Good bye sniping :P
The moment youtubers put "HONEST", uppercase and all, in the title, I ask myself why does this guy specifically feel the need to highlight this impossible-to-verify claim.
Look the customer that these lens are made for is never gonna shoot with them to show on a major theatre chain. No one on social media platforms that will watch the content made on these lens will ever notice any issues with them. If you are buying them thinking that the artistic content you will make with these will stand against 40,000 dollar Cooke lens or other pro level lens … you are seriously delusional Not to speak of the fact that your film is marketed for small screens so these are more than adequate for any RUclips project
What do you all think of the Snipers? Would you buy them?
Nope, sigma already exists 😂 and sigma are better 😅
@@ioanandrei8814 agreed lol
@@Ansonandco an sigma has 16mm lens… 😝

only if they auto-aim with extreme prejudice...
HAPPY NEW YEAR, MY SON! Love your mom
Love you too mom ❤️ see you Sunday
Curious as to your thoughts on these vs the viltrox 27mm 1.2?

its cool sir..Happy New year Sir

Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Happy new year!
great video on these lenses. According to the Sirui Rep, the proper way to say Sirui is: "Hooray for Sirui"
Thanks! It’s funny, I only say it the way I say it cause of a rep telling me it’s that way. They are all over the place lol
ty!

I mean these are almost exactly that… nightwalkers with AF. If you liked the NWs go for it
@@Ansonandco and what are the drawbacks of using an apsc lens with a full frame camera in your opinion?
@@sanathpawar883 you won’t be able to use them without a massive vignette. They do not cover the image circle needed for full frame
How would you compare these lens to sigmas set?
Which sigma set? The AF lenses?

@@jesselam5867 the sigmas are definitely better optics hands down
Hows the autofocus for video on these?
Very good. Everything in this video was using continuous AF
How would these hold up to an x-pro 1?
Best cine lenses for music videos?
What is your budget and what type of aesthetic are you looking for?
@@Ansonandco any budget, i just want to take my clarity & auto focus to da next level

What is your export settings for your video? I love how it looks wider and more cinematic than regular youtube videos.
I was hoping you’d comment on the manual focus ring. Is it any good? I know these are sold as AF lenses, but sometimes you just gotta take the wheel.
It’s ok… nothing to write home about. They are standard focus by wire lenses. The manual focus is very secondary

Nah you just get a giant flashlight and you are good hahaha
these lenses lose the "equivalent to f1.8 full frame" argument, when they perform so bad wide open.
The moment youtubers put "HONEST", uppercase and all, in the title, I ask myself why does this guy specifically feel the need to highlight this impossible-to-verify claim.
Ok. Not sharp till you close them 2 full stops from max ap and significant chromatic aberration. Thanks but no thanks
Yeah I’m not the biggest fan
however it is $300
It sounds like a gimmick

Fair points. My issue is that these do not stack up against lenses in the same price bracket that are heads and shoulders better than these lenses.
@@Ansonandcowhat would you recommend if im looking for a large aperture autofocus lens around this price point?
