It is sooo refreshing to watch a crafting video from a woman with REAL working hands! I’ve seen some videos from crafters with crazy long nails and huge rings -- how do they even handle the paper and glue?!?!?! Aren’t they afraid of messing up their manicure? I just can’t relate, I guess. I always have ink or paint or glue or some kind of stain and maybe a paper cut or two!

If I had not seen you put the scraps on the edge, I would never have know it was pieced together. Great job!

That glue is very popular with mixed media artists. And that scrapbook paper is so beautiful. I love how the two go together.

I love the way you work: Thinking of ideas while you have glued the background, not meassure but eyeball amd realize that your eyes are not standing straight. Working with scraps, things you have in your stash...That's making a junk journal IMHB

Nik: this is so much fun to watch!! As usual, I learn SO much from you and your great videos. Honestly, I can't get over how you can start with a clean slate and then pop up with these fantastic folders, pockets, flips, etc. You make it seem so easy! THANK you again for your generosity in sharing your artistic ideas and work. You are by far my favorite video-ographer!!

LOVE THIS SERIES CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO!! I always talk to things in fact my crafting has sound effects... anytime I’m excited about an idea or process when explaining what I’m thinking or how I did something to my fiancé I make noises instead of using words he always gets a chuckle when I do 😂 spraying things, shaking glitter, cutting paper, mixing, swirling..... they all have a different noise!

Wow! I just found you and watched this video and it is Awesome! You do a wonderful job of explaining as you go along and it’s been very informational for me! I am chronically ill so it takes me forever to get things done but I have been stocking up on my supplies so that I can begin making these types of albums! I have learned more in your 23 minute video than I have in the past several months watching different people! I really like your sewing and all your pockets it’s very intriguing when you have several little flips, tucks, pockets etc. the more the better!

As for the old, crackling paper, here's a great way to fix that.
Take one of the back (blank) layers from a paper napkin and mod podge it to the BACK of the old paper. It makes it plyable. Hope this helps. 🤗 from Texas.

Ever since i watched Mike Deakin make one of these things, I've been chomping at the bit to see your take on it. I made one for my best friend, who is a home health nurse, to take along with her to patients' homes for notes and such with a pocket for her phone. It came out awesome! Think I'm gonna start another one tonight. ❤

I just bought that Uhu glue stick , honestly I thought I was just being a sucker cause I saw a bunch of youtubers using it ..I was pleasantly surprised to find out how good it is. (I usually but the Elmer’s craft bond glue stick ) they are pretty much the same price depending on where you buy it ...
I do want to warn some people if you are going to buy it check your local craft store first. I was super surprised to see it on amazon for almost double - or double check the links , some are for multiples which makes the price good. But some suppliers on amazon are ripping people off. (

I really like what you're doing. Especially "talking to inanimate objects" I do talk a little less now cuz I used to talk to my cats. They're in little boxes now so I still talk to them.
