I love this simple project and your clear concise instructions. I use the purl bind off. It’s super simple and doesn’t shrink the bind off smaller then the cast on. I also use your slipper sock tutorial. I watched others but usually got messed up. I was successful with your instructions. Thank you so much.

Hi Gina, I am new to loom kniting. I just finished my second ear warmer, both of which I learned to make by watching your tutorials. Everyone on you tube seems to have different methods, but I find you give the clearest directions and are the easiest to follow. Thank you for your expert videos. For this one, I wanted a headband to match my patriotic mask, so I used 3 strands of #4 yarn, red, white and blue. It came out beautiful, and is thick and warm.
I just learn about loom knitting and I am loving it. I am retired and it keep me busy. Learning to do some hats for Christmas for when I drive around give to the homeless or may to a nursing home.
I've been trying to figure out how to sew the headband and make the twisty part and your video was so much more helpful than some of the others I saw. So thank you!
Wow! This is so sweet! Thank you for taking the time. It can be tricky. I completely understand and I am so glad this video was helpful! Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment. I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙏☀️🥰
Have just found you after owning a set of loams for just over a year but never used. Now with you i feel so confident and cant wait to start my 1sr project for my granddaughter xxx
Hello! Yay! That’s great!! You can do it! So funny when my husband got me my first set they stayed in my closet too! ❤️Good luck and I can’t wait to see your first project!
Hi GinaLay- I M also Gina, great name! Ty soooo much for the detailed instructions; I’ve watched at least 10 to 20 videos and tried with each of them.... I was just about to give up and bam there you were! Omg! You are a lifesaver... I’m left handed and have Chemo Brain, it’s hard for me to retain instructions. I absolutely love your video and the SHORTCUT is awesome. I’m just about finished my very first headband and am so excited to show it off... I’m making several for Christmas gifts. I can’t wait to watch and learn more from you.... I’m truly a newbie, and my headband looks professional: keep the great work up, I’m your greatest fan! You asked what others do when they loom knit: I am an insomniac and taking cancer meds keeps me up, the knitting seems to relax me and I love to have a huge Mug of Decaf Starbucks. Ty again for the great instructions.
@Gina, Thank you so much for being here! I appreciate you watching my videos so much and I’m glad you didn’t give up!! ❤️Sorry for the delay on this message! For some reason I do not get my notifications sometimes. I appreciate you and would love to see your projects. I am on Instagram (ginalay_) and Facebook (The Mom Writer) as well. 🙂🙏
Thanks so much for this video! I offered to make a friend an ear warmer headboard & showed her some of the options. She wanted one in a turban style, so I tried the Tutate one that she pointed to. After 2 attempts and pulling the yarn out, I was frustrated because I couldn't get it right. And decided to try another method. Since yours has a twist in the front, I gave it a try. When I watched your video, it made so much more sense and seemed like one I could do. I completed the headband within a few hours, (with distractions) and wrote the directions down so I can do more of these without watching the video. This is the first video tutorial of yours I used, and I decided to subscribe (even though I don't crochet and that is a lot of your stuff). Thanks again!
@@GinaLay I tried that same turban style headband from Tutate also and I couldn't get it right either. So far this has worked out well. I'm starting on taking it off the loom at this point.

Hi Gina I'm new to loom knitting as I seem to not be able to control my tension when useing needles lol. This loom knitting is FABULOUS and you are so precise in ur tutorials......thank you.
Hello Sue! I am so glad you are here. Welcome to my channel. My channel is going to be pivoting a bit but all of my knitting videos will stay and I hope you stick around and enjoy. ♥️ I understand about the tension. When I first got my looms I was like no way and I put them in the closet for a year. 😂 I try needle knit and I just can’t do it so I admire you very much! 🌻😊
Great video ! I messed up on the connection. :(. I ended up sewing the edges down and wrapping the center. Looks ok but not what I was hoping for. Would post a pic but I don’t see an option for that. I will try again!
It’s a little tricky. Don’t worry! I am sure it looks just fine and the more you do it the easier it becomes.:) You can tag me on IG or go to the mom writer Facebook page too.😊 Happy Holidays!🌟😁
Thank you, Gina, for this tutorial. This was my first loom project and it was a success! I want to make more in different colors for myself and to gift to family and friends. As far as your question regarding beverages/activities, this time around I was sipping hot chocolate and had music playing (shuffled between Classical, Jazz, and Rock playlists). At one point I switched over to a TV series on Hulu and had that keeping me company in the background. Cheers and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
