I can't believe I am making this. It's my third LoomKnit project even though my first thought was that it looks too advanced. After watching the video, I see that I am doing the same as I did with the "square" I made a rectangle, and the slouchy hat. Cast on, Knit, purl, get to length I want, cast off. I got this! This headband is so adorable I am glad I didn't find the "simple" headband video I was looking for yesterday. My friends will also be getting this because I will be all over making a bunch of them! Thanks so much for giving me something to look forward to every day.
Its amazing how simple you make the most complicated designs. I have watched other videos tried the project and just created a mess. However I have no problem following your videos and the completed projects look just like yours. I will never leave you again.lol
I am so happy I found you. I have had looms for years but never was taught to get much further than beginners and got discouraged. You are an amazing teacher. Thankyou so much for sharing your knowledge. I can't wait to start some of these projects.
Hey Denise, l love your videos. I've been looking knitting for about 3 years and you're my "go-to" instructor. I have learned so much from you. Keep the videos coming.
Finally finished my FIRST hat! So love it as did hubby, only upward from here on out. Thanks so much for all your tutorials, you are one amazing woman, "in my opinion" learning so much each time even though I have to re watch continually, Many thanks once more and keep up your great work.
Wow, that is awesome! This is going to be made for sure, probably for a Christmas gift for a certain person who loves this sort of head gear. Thank you! Another awesome pattern.
This knits up so fast and braids great! I wanted to stay away from sewing so instead of the 9 purl rows, I just joined 3 stitches from each piece back on the loom, knitted over and did the basic bind off. Lots of ends to weave in but it worked great and now I am going to try to make a cowl this way.
You really are a wonderful teacher! I just completed one of your hats and I was hoping to find a headband tutorial and I’m going to start this one tonight. I’m hoping that it won’t matter if I use a larger loom as long as I keep the count as you have it. Guess I’ll find out.😃
love this! i really want to make this, but I'm unsure what thickness that yarn is. it looks like a 5 to me but it never said which one. could i get a little help? - a young knitter
Hey, I did this and I am in love with the results it turned out lovely! I am giving this as a gift and I am excited to give this away! I love your videos!! ❤️🥰
Love love love this video I'm making one now making each one a different color thanks for this great video . Happy Thanksgiving Denise brightest blessings
Thank you for this video! I want to do one of these for a person with a head band circumference of 27" would this work if I made my fabric 27" or would I need to add more?
Hi Denise - I can't seem to sew it together correctly. I am folding it back after I braid it so that both ends meet together and they match up perfectly. I am sewing the three braided end tips to the tip of the other end. You mention not to forget to sew the flap, I don't have a flap. But I do see the entire 9 rows of purls. What am I not doing correctly?
Hello Denise I love this video. I was wondering though when you start your project can you add the flap before you create the strands so that when finish it creates another flap to sew the headband together?
Thank you so much for this pattern!I have a question about using a different size yarn.I have a BUNCH of Mandala yarn which is size 3. Would this yarn be too loose using the blue KK?TIA
This will be my 1st loom project. But you don't say what weight yarn is best to use, nor how much. I'm keen to make, but don't want to get part-way through & run out of yarn 🤔
Hello my name is David happy holidays. I'm trying to loom and I love it. I tried to crochet but it just feels funny with my hands. So I went out and bought a loom kit. My question to you Ma'am is when I'm looming they are so loose. How do I fix that? Happy looming from Hawaii
David Thomas hello if you are looking for her on Facebook you just log in to your account like normal and search loomahat Facebook page and there are videos on there and also you can go to the website www.loomahat.com for more information about all sorts of things dealing with loom knitting and there is also a comment section as well.
+Nazo unleashed2000 Hi - when I knit I’m also designing which takes longer. Plus knitting is very much about the individual- some folks take knit fast - some slower then others but the headband might take about 4 hours - a basic hat can take much longer.
You are literally the BEST teacher when it comes to loom knitting...possibly over regular knitting and crochet! Thank you for all you do!
I totally agree, goes very slow and detailed explanation im never confused.
I did it! Third knitting loom project was a success. Must get to the store for more colors of yarn now.
Thank you very much!
You are so welcome! AND Thank YOU for the Thank you !

What gauge and material of yarn do you recommend for braided headband?
This is amazing can't wait to do it for a Christmas present
Love that head band! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Denise! Love all your videos. Could you make the strands much longer and sew all the ends together to create an infinity scarf?
Very nice
Love love love this video I'm making one now making each one a different color thanks for this great video . Happy Thanksgiving Denise brightest blessings
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe?Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe?
Love all of these. Am learning alot.
Can I used 2 strand of worsted weight yarn #4
Great video! I did 89 rows and it is 20 inches. I used the 31 peg loom because I had something on the 24 peg loom. I dont know if thet matters.
What gauge yarn did you use?
That was an awesome headband!
Thank YOU Lena !!!
That’s really pretty!
Thank YOU Lisa !!!
Can this be done with a finer gauge loom and smaller gauge yarn?
I just read the description thank you.
Olá. Como faço prara traduzir o que você estar falando?
Is there a way to determine the length needed for children vs adult?
i realize I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch new movies online ?
@Alec Harper Lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it =)
Love it sooo much,thanks.
could you use a long loom for this pattern
Brooke Smith yes you could, I did & mine turned out exactly the same!
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe?
Lovely looma.
Can you do a scarf with this if so how long
Thank you for this video! I want to do one of these for a person with a head band circumference of 27" would this work if I made my fabric 27" or would I need to add more?

All my looms don’t have an anchor peg like yours. What can I do?
interesting...i will try to make one for me
Go for it! It's super easy and lots of fun to make. It knits up fast.
just one question. does it matter what size the loom is?
Hello Denise I love this video. I was wondering though when you start your project can you add the flap before you create the strands so that when finish it creates another flap to sew the headband together?
can we make it with a 10 peg loom??
thank you now i make some for my grand daughter
Thank you so much for this pattern!I have a question about using a different size yarn.I have a BUNCH of Mandala yarn which is size 3. Would this yarn be too loose using the blue KK?TIA
I love this! Roughly how many yards of yarn does it need?
+Sheckla41 About 75 yards
LoomaHat.com Thank you!
This will be my 1st loom project.
But you don't say what weight yarn is best to use, nor how much. I'm keen to make, but don't want to get part-way through & run out of yarn 🤔
I love it. How long should the strands be for a child?
+Sady Ferguson depends on the child. Most kids 5 or older have heads almost the same size. With a tape measure- measure the head
Thank you. You are a great teacher

Lea Arnold ok thank you very much, Aloha from Hawaii
David Thomas your welcome David. Aloha from Texas
I was wondering how much yarn does this headband pattern require?
What kind of yarn did you use? I did 5 in bulky and mine came out way too chunky. What size would you recommend?
I believe I used a 5 chunky but not all are created equal- some chunkys are chunkier then others
@@LoomaHat lol True for yarn and people!
Hi Denise. I love this project! Thank you. How long did it take you to finish this? Also, how long does it take you to finish your hats?
+Nazo unleashed2000 Hi - when I knit I’m also designing which takes longer. Plus knitting is very much about the individual- some folks take knit fast - some slower then others but the headband might take about 4 hours - a basic hat can take much longer.
Ok. Thank you.
I did 160 rows and it was almost 40 in long
when using 4 ply yarn do I need to use 1 strand or 2?
+Sara Griffin You can use 1 but it’s all about how you want it to look and feel, warm or light, chunky or not.
I used one strand of regular medium 4 yarn and it took me 210 rows to get to 20 inches if that helps
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe?
Do have a written pattern for this
Yep - www.etsy.com/listing/560967140
LoomaHat.com thank you
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe?
Hey could you make it biggers
Yes - add more pegs to make each band wider - more rows to make it longer (bigger in circumference)
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe?
I have no clue how I messed this up so bad 😮
