You, my lovely, were the first one to introduce me to a wonderful craft. I still crotchet but love going back and forth because I prefer this stitch look since I cannot master the knitting needles! I went to your site to look for written instructions and didn't find so I'm using your video and just writing it down to do future ear warmers. This ear warmer, my first project, looks the best out of all my others learned by others. Professional and tidy! On your site I saw 'followers' and, unfamiliar to this platform, thought surely you had more than that? Then saw your cute little 'feel free to buy me a smoothie - if you like' kinda message. Of course, $5 is small compared to how much joy this has given me!!

    Hi Ms Wambui,
I want to say thank you so much for your wonderful videos. I have made several of your headbands/ear warmers, house socks and hats and we sold them at my son’s little private school bake sale with all proceeds going for (our sister school) Korah kids school in Ethiopia. And your knitted items were so lovely that I sold out and this makes such a huge difference for these children in Africa. They literally live in the garbage dump. School helps these children and their families find permanent jobs and homes. Just want to share an example of how your amazing teaching videos are helping all over the world. Thank you sweet lady!!! Sincerely, Samantha

Wow, your message has truly warmed my heart! 🧡 It's incredibly touching to hear how the crafting skills shared on "Wambui Made It" are making such a positive impact, far beyond what I could have imagined. I'm over the moon to know that the headbands, ear warmers, house socks, and hats you made were a hit at the bake sale, and even more so, that they contributed to such a noble cause for the Korah kids in Ethiopia.
Hearing stories like yours fuels my passion for sharing crafting even more. It's a beautiful reminder of how creativity and community can come together to create meaningful change in the world. Thank you for being a part of this journey and for using your talents to help those in need. Let's keep spreading love and warmth, one stitch at a time.
Keep shining and crafting, Samantha! Warmest wishes! 🌸

I just love your tutorials!! I have made ear warmers for family and friends. I have watched others and tend to get lost as they are either going too fast or leave out steps. I am currently in the process of making an ear warmer for one of my friends daughters whom is 5 years old. But I am not sure how many inches in length this should be before I incorporate the end to bind the ends together. Do you have any suggestions? I used 10 pegs for the width. Thank you so much! Please keep making these tutorials as yours are one of the easiest and best to follow😊

Hello! First of all I am absolutely loving your videos, your teaching style is helping me very much since I am a newbie loom knitter. I'm quickly getting obsessed! This pattern you have made is absolutely beautiful and I'm loving working with it! So you recommend 15-16 inches for an adult headband. How long should I make one for a 10 year old girl? I am thinking no longer than 12 inches maybe? Since it will stretch but I don't want it to be too big. Not sure if you have a go to measurement for kids headbands and ear warmers. Thank you for posting videos that share your beautiful designs so that we can make them too!

Hi Ladonna! Thank you so very much for watching. I’m glad that you are finding the videos helpful. I also thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. As a beginner, if you should make a mistake - if you’re not too far into the project, the best thing to do is simply take it apart and start all over. We have all been there.🤗 As you start to loom knit more, the topic of “what to do if you make a mistake” will depend on the stitches that you’re using and the project that you’re making. Therefore, as you go forward and you’re working on a project and you make a mistake, ask me (or someone else) specifically what to do for that particular project or particular stitches that you are working with. I hope you enjoy your new knitting journey. I wish you all the best! 🌻🧶🌻🧶

I think it’s a matter of just cutting the satin or silk to the shape and size of the headband and then taking a very small needle and thread and attaching it as the ends are turned under. The question is will it stretch along with the headband? Hmmmm. I’ll have to play around with this for a little while to see exactly how it would work. I appreciate the question.
