How to Loom Knit a Headband (Super Easy for Beginners) - DIY Tutorial

    Written instructions for those who need it :)
    Wrap all pegs
    Knit stich all pegs row 1
    Release anchor peg
    Knit stich every peg row 2
    Knit stich every peg row 3
    Stop at 50 cm. Leave long tail
    Bind off
    Fold sides pull yarn
    Tie knot and go to other side
    Using same yarn pass threw other loops
    Finish off with knot in inner part
    Weave in loose ends
    Done congrats

    I just finish making this! One for myself! It's really easy to make! Starting to love to loom knit, still a learner at it. Bought my set of loom knit rounds plus one rectangular loom with it. Love your videos, very clear to understand.

    You like bulky 6 weight like i do. Can you show us the brand you are using exactly. I use hometown USA alot. Thanks for your videos. Some are difficult for me but i try.

      I normally use European yarns (since I live in Barcelona, and American yarns are difficult to find here). These are the bulky yarns I more often use: Katia Canada and Phildar Rapido

    20" doesn't seem long enough to go around the head and cover the ears. I used a tape measure on my head and it's more like 24" around the ears. So, should I stop stitching at 24"?

    Would you base the loom size the same as you would for making hats? For babie/toddlers/children?

      Hi Lisa! I would use this same loom (because is the smallest I have) but I would work a fewer number of rounds to make the headband fit around the head of babies/toddlers/children

    made this tonight looks like it turned out ok but it covers my ear but bottom of my ears perhaps I made it smaller ? if i make it bigger it prob wont slip or will it be to big

    I just finished making that hat u did and its so perfect! Can you make a loom knitting tutorial for.. a simple net design ?like a another net bag. I definitely love your net bag you made. You should make a bag with pockets. Or a loom knitted wallet!! I hope u reply to this!! Also how many rounds did you work for this headband?i dont have a ruler rn .

    So there's a new baby in our family in a really want to make her a blanket but there's no good baby blanket tutorials I know some of your patterns but I would love to see you make a baby blanket that isn't just a 36 loom pay or 41 or are you know there's gonna be a way to make it look for or be bigger Without stitching it together And let's not forget we need a border please please please I love your videos

    I am using Red Heart Super Saver and even with 2 strands I keep getting a huge loop when I knit every stitch- it started happening on the second row...how do I fix this?

    Lovely! I have a question is this possible to do with 2 colours? Meaning the ends (that become the “bow”) to be different from the rest of the headband? If so how?

      What a great idea! :) You'll need to knit the first 12 rounds in that color, and the last 12 rounds in that color too. When you want to change colors, just stop using the "old color" strand and start using the new one.

      Hi Nahla! yes, the 24-peg loom is also suitable for her (it will just determine the height of the headband). However, you will need to work a fewer number of rounds (I recommend you to try wrapping her head with your knitting once in a while, to check if you already achieved the length that will fit around her).

    The second smallest loom I have is a 31 peg, will that work for this to make a headband for an adult woman/teen? The smallest I have is for socks (under 21 pegs)

      Hi Catherine! This headband is sideways loom knitted. You work a "knitted tube" and make it a headband. If you use a 41-peg loom, the "tube" will be too wide to be a headband (it could work for a cowl, though). I recommend you to check my "Headbands" video playlist if you want to find another headband to be knitted with the 41-peg loom

      Ok Dolly! I'll try! For the moment, you could try to follow this video tutorial but "size" the length of your knitting around the 5-year-old girl (so, you will work it shorter than mine, but it will perfectly fit this girl)
