Would have been nice to have been shown the end product but I guess an adventurous person would just have to go ahead and do the work to see how it turns out.
Thank you for making this video. You explain things in a way that is very accessible for newbies like me. It's difficult for me to maintain grip since I had my stroke, so any knitting needles would just end up on the floor multiple times an hour. I just purchased one of these plastic looms and am looking forward to trying your techniques tonight.
Glad it was helpful! Loom knitting allows you to participate with the yarn arts giving more abilities to hang onto the tool that knitting and crochet cannot do when the tense of touch is compromised.
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos and hope you make a lot more. Also, I thought I'd mention for anyone else out there reading this note, I couldn't find a pen that I could take apart easily to make the loading tool, so I'm using a drinking straw and a length of wire cut from a coat hanger, and it works just fine!
I try to be somewhat diverse but I do get complaints when I show these videos as we are a primary crochet community. You know how it is. Always something to complain about.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Ignore the complainers. I don't get that at all. I'm a loom knitter and love your demonstrations. I don't crochet but have watched your demonstrations on crochet out of interest. Looks fun but I do love looming and peg looming for myself. You have a great channel. Diversity rules!
I made one so easily with a pen, and for finer yarn with one of those cheap twist plastic pencils. Because the top narrows it goes easier between the narrow guage pegs. They're fantastic.. So simple yet really effective.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I meant on a circular loom. I saw a hat with the zigzag stitch, but I really like the way you teach and wondered if you would consider making a tutorial for a hat. Also, the yarn feeder idea is AWESOME!
@@virtualinking I’m not sure how this is possible on a round loom. You may need to Google this. I don’t know how you can jump across the ring to form a hat as you will not have an opening fir the head.
I'm totally new to this and haven't made any hats yet, but I did see two different techniques used in hat videos 1. Get an adjustable loom (I just paid $12 on Amazon for one with 54 pegs that you can click together in any shape you want) You just keep pulling out pegs to make the circle increasingly smaller so you have a smooth, rounded top. 2. Create a long tube on the solid plastic ring loom, then close up the top of the tube by weaving yarn in and out of the top before pulling it closed like using a drawstring. An enormous pompom is then sewn on top to sorta hide how the top end is closed
Thanks for tutorial, just wish you could have done a few more rows so as to see the finished product. I got a loom for my bday but hadn’t a clue on how to use it.
Love your video. You’re the best. Why does my long rectangular knitting loom bow (get tighter/ cave in ) in the middle. My stitches are not tight at all
I don't have a loom, but I am interested. I inherited a friend's stash of yarn a couple of years ago, but have never done anything with it. With this loom, and this stitch, would I be able to make pot holders or even dish scrubbers? Your explanation appears to make this craft easy enough for a senior-aged beginner to do. Thanks so much.
Very interesting stitch, however how did you get the first row to not simply pop off? When it came time to loop the first row, the one peg that didn’t have two loops caused the whole thing to come off the loom. Perplexed but still trying because I want to see what the pattern is.
Ok, that’s what I need help with! I don’t know how to do that. I’ve done a regular basic bind off several times on a double loom. I have an idea about doing a zig zag bind off that I’ll try on another loom. Just not sure it will work!
Hello. Thank you for your video.... I've tried this several times I cannot get it remotely close to right enough on the loom i don't get it I've tried several times even with tension
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you for your reply. My question, however, is....how then would a person know if they wanted to do that Stitch or not, if they didn't know what it looked like coming out the bottom?
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you. It was extremely clear and concise but I'm not sure if it's the stitch I want if I can't see the final product. Perhaps showing what it'll look like would help. Thank you for taking the time to share the process.
I sure would like to see how this looks after several rows. Very interesting stitch.
The pen case is a real game changer for me! It was really difficult with arthritic knuckles to wrap the loom but this is so much easier. Thanks !
Thank you I am super beginner. The best video for biggeners
Thank you sir for contributions to the fiber arts community

Beautiful way on the slip knot. Enjoyed all

I LOVE how you explain your slip knot!!!!

Excellent tip to leave behind for others to see your experiences.
Awww I wanna see it finished!!
If you look up Zig Zag Loom KNit Stitch, you will see examples of this on Google. I was just going for the stitching technique. I'm sorry.
So excited to see you have loom knitting videos too!

Thank you so much. Your tutorials are always most helpful, camera shows well & your explanations clear easy to understand.
Glad you like them!
I use the same hook it's just so much better. Thanks for your video I'm looking for more patterns on my looms .
OMG that straw trick is a game changer!! I wish you would have shown what the stitch looks like thought
Thank you for showing us all how to do this stitch.
I love the tube thing you show. It works great you need to patent the different sizes for the smaller looms.
0:26 that yarn feeder is amazing.

Thanks , I been looking everywhere for loom pattern.
You’re welcome 😊
I wish I could see the fiinsh product. I love how you explain the slip knot. I will definitely try this technique.
I’m using this to make my baby a blanket and have found it works up a lot quicker than others.
Just a thought you can a pipe cleaner for a treader 😊 oh and you can a Crayola color tube for replace your pin place just saying take care 😊 be bless
Amazing tutorial
Glad you liked it. Have a great day.
i would like you to show how to end and take off the loom please
You're using a cricut tool! Why have I never thought of that?!
Thanks ... really nice to know. Happy Holidays
Love this so much! Thank you!
Great tutorial! Will you please show us how to do it in the round? I’d love a hat made with the zigzag stitch!
You won't get a hat going across the loom for round as it will not have an opening.

I would've love to see what it looked like too. Left us a teaser lol 😆
I love your videos but I do wish we could see the finished sample panel...the videos feel incomplete otherwise. I'll still keep watching though!
Will this stitch be OK a blanket thank you for sharing 😊 xx
Love this, but I cant find ANY tutorials on how to do a zig zag bind off! Help!

I’m not sure. I’m sorry I don’t know.
yes....end product or at least 5 rows....
Wish you would have showed a finished product.

You're welcome Sherron. Have an amazing weekend.
Great tutorial! Best description of how to make a slip knot ever! What is the pen that you use called and where do we get it??
It's just the tube of an old Bic ball point pen once you take it all apart

Didn’t know that Cricut made a look hook
Do you have a video showing a double zig zag bind off? If I do a regular bind off the two ends of the scarf will look different.
Do a bind off in zig zag format.
Ok, that’s what I need help with! I don’t know how to do that. I’ve done a regular basic bind off several times on a double loom. I have an idea about doing a zig zag bind off that I’ll try on another loom. Just not sure it will work!
How to cast off please. Thanks
Thank you 😄
Hello. Thank you for your video.... I've tried this several times I cannot get it remotely close to right enough on the loom i don't get it I've tried several times even with tension
How do you bid off
How do you cast off?
What do u do if your 1st row is really loose and looks wonky? Is there a way to tighten it?
It should self tighten the more you do.
i need help! How can I contact you? It is about a mitten project
I have been Loom knitting For a long time and I'd like to try this but you didn't show us what it looks like when it's done! Boohoo
I'm sorry. I intended this for a stitching technique.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you for your reply. My question, however, is....how then would a person know if they wanted to do that Stitch or not, if they didn't know what it looked like coming out the bottom?
So we don't get to see the final product of what the stitch looks like
This is just a procedural video on how to do the stitch itself.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you. It was extremely clear and concise but I'm not sure if it's the stitch I want if I can't see the final product. Perhaps showing what it'll look like would help. Thank you for taking the time to share the process.
Okay but could you show how to finish it? I don't know
Yes, we have tutorials for that. It's called Casting Off if you need that terminology.
