- When was the last time you watched Thor (2011)? Do you remember how Thor Odinson was introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? In this film, Thor Odinson and his team, The Warriors 3, Lady Sif, and Loki invade the Frost Giants home. Doing this betrayed the wishes of Odin, the All-Father, which leads to Thor being cast out of Asgard, the home of the Norse Gods. Thor ends up in New Mexico, only to be immediatly hit by a car by Jane Foster, Erik Selvig, and Darcy Lewis. All the while, Coulson and SHIELD have secured Mjlinor, Thor's hammer, while Loki takes over Asgard. Thor evetually regains his powers, destroys the Destroyer, and stops Loki. Did you catch all easter eggs the first time around? See if I missed any and let me know which one’s blew your mind. Let me know down below or on twitter @OnlyStpdAnswers!

Thor opened with Thor's diverted coronation. Ragnorok ends with his official coronation.
Joshua Pendleton Oh my gosh I never noticed. Marvel is incredible.

The most fun thing about Odin growling at Loki is that it was totally unscripted :D poor Tom, being "hnargh"ed by Anthony Hopkins like that :"D
"Is there a Renaissance fair in town? We got a Xena, Jackie Chan, and Robin Hood" - Best lines from the movie
Best lines? Please. That's clearly this:
*walks into a pet shop* I NEED A HORSE
I love this Rewatch series!
The horse Odin rides when he saves Thor,Loki, sif and the warriors 3 on jotienheim has 8 legs (4 in the front and 4 at the back) is actually one of Loki’s children.
Sleipnir :D
And Loki is the mother not father lol
so...norse mythology has as much bestiality as greek mythology? Or does the thing just come out as a horse with no real explanation?
@@Blasted2Oblivion Asgard was under attack by I can not remember what they're called but basically the leader was a giant stallion. Loki chose to become a female horse to cause, ahem, a distraction, so that the warriors of Asgard could take out the forces. He ended up pregnant and gave birth. There was a lot of Gender fuckery in Norse mythology tbh, wasn't the only time loki gave birth, but some of his kids were fathered by him rather than birthed by him, like the ones with his wife; Hela (yeah, that Hela), Fenrir (yes, really, the giant wolf), and Jörmungandr (the midgard Serpent). Basically there's a reason Lady Loki is a thing in the comics, and he's now canonly gender fluid as of Agent of Asgard which is pretty cool.
I actually really liked the movie tho
Me too...People are so hard on movies these days...Like they have to be perfect to be enjoyed thoroughly!
I enjoyed this movie as well.
Me too! Thought I am the only one...
Same here
The Death Star II The only MCU movie i didn't loved is Thor:The Dark World.
The best part about Odin growling at Loki is that it was actually Anthony Hopkins growing at Tom Hiddleston. The original script had Loki interrupt Odin's monologue but Hopkins got so into character he just straight up growled at Hiddleston when he tried to say his line. Anthony Hopkins for the win.
Coulson and Hawkeye intrigued the hell outta me when I first watched it. The scene where Thor tries to get Mjolnir (sp?) back was the first scene that invoked a sense of something bigger for me. I'm amazed at how huge and glorious the MCU has become! I never miss a movie and am watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ♡♡♡ MCU 4EVER
16:08 That's because that's his real hair. Chris Hemsworth has said that she s8nce the first Avengers movie they started to use a wig instead of making him grow out his hair
Also I prefer the longer hair look in the other movies over this look.
Thor getting his hammer back at the end of the movie is still without a doubt my favorite MCU movie scene ever!!!
Jennifer McMahon I
yeah, it makes my eyes wet
Wb his entrance in wakanda
yes
The tablet at 7:11 reads "THOSE WHO SIT ABOVE IN SHADOW". They were the creators of the Asgardians and overwatch the Ragnarok cycle.
Thor 1 does hold up. It's awesome!!
Jim Hart I loved it...
Was this the best MCU movie? Hell no! Not by a long shot. But it was still a fun movie to watch. Not sure why this dingle berry is so down it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again.
Don Perkins agreed
Someone sounds hurt about an opinion
+ Don Perkins Because it's not "Fun" enough
u mean.. *HEL* no?
Sam “the lamb” Bashor is not a dingleberry !
Something I just noticed about Thor's sketch of Yggdrasil? It kinda resembles a left hand with gems on it... Think that was intentional?
eric allan kramer is also in the movie he's the one who plays thor in the 80s hulk movie
The most brilliant thing they did was cast Idris Elba as Heimdal. In the mythology he is described literally as "the whitest of the Gods".
Would enjoy seeing War Thor aka Volstagg Thor eventually.
Asgardian of the Galaxy
love these vid. Favorite Easter Egg, The inscription on the hammer that almost Matches the comic book version. Favorite sceen in that movie is then there in the cafe and Thor is acting like he is still in Asgard
thanks Sam that was awesome.Odin growling at Loki is great.i loved it too !
Love these rewatches!
I love theses... Keep making more
Thor was never human, Dr Donald Blake was his alias after he was exiled from Asgard
Several references
1)Odin said that Thor was him first born, lying about Hela
2)Odin said that Mjolnir's power had no equal, lying about Storm breaker
3)Odin was angry about Thor trying to start war as he reminded Odin of Hela,
4)Odin said that a wise king never seeked war, but must always be prepared for it.
These are great Easter egg videos! Keep them coming
Donald Blake is also the alias they give him when getting him out of the shield quarantine, and Coulson references stark when the destroyer lands on earth, which is a nod to how Tony actually made a Destroyer Armor Suit.
Thor and the phase 1 Marvel movies weren't made by Paramount they were just distributed by them. These were actually the first films that Marvel Studios self financed.
Thor wore his helmet while fighting hulk in ragnarock
I don't think it was his original helmet. But still it was pretty cool.
This movie is great! Remeber Kenneth Branagh introduced the Cosmic in the MCU way before Guardians of the Galaxy. I like the colourful and fun Cosmic universe of GOTG a and Ragnarok but in the OG Thor, they tried and succeded to make it *realistic.*
Just rewatched. 2021.
I think it holds up. Entertaining. Great story. Multiple arcs. Balance if humor and serious.
Just my opinion.
Another kind of "Pop Culture Reference": When Selvik and Thor have a drink at the bar, in the background you can hear the Foo Fighter with "Walk".
With lines like "Million miles away", "I think I lost my way", "I think I found my place" and "Learning to walk again" that's pretty much the whole theme of the movie, and describing Thor's own journey quite well.
Y’all are the best and have the best CHANNEL
I rewatched this movie recently and came away with three things: 1) Excessive dutch angles 2) they bleached Chris Hemsworth's eyebrows which is just weird looking and 3) Thor / Jane had WAY better chemistry in this movie than in Dark World. Specifically the scene where Thor is explaining Ygdrasil to Jane
According to the comics, sif and hiemdal are siblings.
This was missed.
This absolutely holds up!
But paramount didn't make this movie, they only distributed it due to the movie being made by marvel studios. Also I feel the need to clear this up, just cuz a studio is owned by Disney (Pixar, marvel, lucasfilm) doesn't mean Disney made that film. Like how people blame Disney for the last Jedi, even though Disney had no involvement.
Great series
Awesome video. Thanks! When Mjolnir lands on earth and Thor is trying to lift it but fails because he wasn't yet worthy, the camera shot of Mjolnir and the surrounding ground is in the shape of the Avengers logo. :)
THOR IS A GREAT FILM AND IT RIVALS RAGNAROK!!!!
Love these! More Please
Why dont people like the first one, it has better character development and i felt his pain. The rest of the movies are just mindless action with little story. The third one was okay tho.
Ragnarok is the BEST one! Not only is it hilarious, but it is also visually stunning! But I do think that the first Thor film was good too.
Where the super bowl content tho
Goddamnit I was about to sleep
McMunchy lol me too.
McMunchy same lol
Me too lnao
So true haha
Same lol
That stone piece in Odin's vault reads "Those Who Sit" in Futhark, if that relates to any magical artifacts in Marvel comics. There's more writing below that, but I can't see it well enough to read it
Don't know if anyone's pointed it out or not, but the Destroyer in Thor looks a lot like the Sentinels in X-Men Days of Future Past. I wonder if there could be any kind of connection between the two.
there is none
Nothing at all
The evolution of Thor from start to finish is probably the most character change in any of the MCU heros.
This is one of my favorite movies.
this thor movie was a callback to the thor comics
In thor#1 of 2019 the warlocks eye
goes to the hands of juggernaut due to the explosion of Asgardia and odin's weapons vault like in Ragnarok. This may be a clue for the union of Marvel and X-men universe
Check pg 4,5,6 of the comic book mentioned above
@2:21 "Originally he is in NORTH mythology" NORSE ... The word is Norse, did no one pick that up in editing ?!
if they kept the "evil storm contained" origin of Mjolnir then when Hela breaks it in Ragnarok, that's a whole diff problem for Thor
I loved how Thor lost the eye in Ragnarok because he becomes more like future Thor. I just want to see him lose the left arm and take the Destroyer arm and be even more like the comics.
I miss that dance vid
Vanaheim is a stop between Van Nuys and Anaheim. It's very specific and wierd for a realm:)
The Jotuns weren’t „evil“. Just bc their people always were in war with Asgard doesn’t make the whole population evil beings. Those ones Thor killed were innocent. But well, who cares. Thor is the hero.
The tree at 11:22 sort of looks like a messy drawing of the infinity gauntlet
That gauntlet is right handed it is a reference on how to reverse the snap
Odin growing at Loki was my favorite part also🙂
In the mcu hela is from asgard
I always get so hyped when I see these. I love them!
Hey u missed one of the realms helhiem
Everytime he says "yaaay" in his videos, it reminds me of Star lord saying, "family reunion! Yaaay.. "
6:50
Looks like 343 Guilty Spark to me.
Only just learnt about these videos
Love that hoodie, where's it from?
10:25 are you sure that's not Santa clause?
Please make a video on The Cloverfield Paradox!
I liked the first Thor and I do think it does hold up.
This movie had my favorite scene on phase one: Loki confronting odin about his nature
At 2:27 is the fight scene in Thor: Ragnarok based off of that comic?
not only odin shouting on loki for interrupting while he was speakin' to thor was funny but also u kinda know or dunno i don't know thor juz calls phil coulson as SON OF COUL in the movie at last instead of calling his original name!!! he juz twisted the wrd front n back!!! tht was too kinda funny in this movie!!! i rlly enjoyd n likd tht one!!!
9:27 who picks up the hammer?!?!?
7:10 the first three words on this piece of rock translate to "Those who sit" and I guess it's a reference to "Those who sit above in shadow"?
But...but...your analysis doesn't hold up--oh, the irony of your intro :P Destined for an NR bloopers reel vid
did all the magical stuff really get destroyed or could it scattered across the universe
Odin growling at loki was improvised by anthony hopkins
Pls do teh Flash breakdowns!
;~;
is there a pre Loki rewatch?
Coulson..son of coul😂😂
This comment deserve more likes😂
Are u going to do flash season 4
Do a review of altered carbon
Wow he catches some stuff a lot of people didn’t
A deleted version of the scene where Selvig mentions Banner has him mention Hank Pym instead.
lol svartelheim is the only one you pronounced correctly
Kind of old but when it shows thor trying to lift the hammer again but fails in the first thor. It shows the high poin of the hammer in the dirt. When it does it shows captain americas shield symbol.
The home of the dark elves is svart-alf-heim, translates directly into black elf home ;)
I like the theory that mjolnir was a atcually a real person and the god of thunder before thor
Nice "hell" pun!
Can't wait for Thor: Love and Thunder! Jane returns!
At 9:22 what civil war comic series is he referring to?
The best part of this movie was DEFINITELY Thors bleached eyebrows
Why did Thor never used his winged helmet until that version on Ragnarok?
Almost finish with phase 1
I liked this movie
You missed Loki’s secret passage to the dark elves world in Thor 2 when you were explaining the hidden portals with Heimdal and Loki
Sam "I'll get to that in a little bit" Bashor
Thor actually first appeared Venus #11 1950
The hammer in the rock that no one can pick up is a reference to the sword from King Arthur
I couldn’t deal with Thor’s eyebrows in this movie.
Well, at least Thor Ragnarok was amazing. Can't be said for the other Thor sequel...
Ragnarok was AWESOME!!
