Normally I watch a UR video and I laugh, smile, and chuckle at the roasting, and feel impressed when he reviews experts (like Uncle Wangang). But THIS video also just made me HAPPY. Well done Uncle Roger and Nephew Nigel on this difficult accomplishment. Motokichi Sensei was a joy to watch in his encouragement and teaching, and you've progressed so far from comedy schtick roasting the F out of Jamie Oliver's Ls, to humorous food critic, to being able to both lay the smack down as well as actually produce in the kitchen. You're actually impressing the real chefs while still being a fine comedian. Keep up the good work. I look forward to many more laughs with you.

I read one negative review where a Western tourist lady who was 15-20 minutes late for a reservation; she was mad that her reservation wasn't honored. One busy nights, that place is booked solid with a line out the door. They can't let a table sit vacant for 15-20+ minutes hoping that the people with the reservation will eventually show up. And, from a cultural perspective, being on time to things is expected in Japan. It's seen as being kind of insulting to other people if you're late to an appointment. Like, don't cut things close. Plan to be there 15 min early rather than right "on time."

Yeah. Especially restaurants like kichi kichi where they are fully booked and work on a specific schedule. Went there last month. Every batch of customers enter the restaurant at the same time (4/5 batches per dinner). Every batch receives the same experience and performance. Being late means missing the performance and affect next batch’s times. That’s why they are so serious about the reservations and even tell customers to be there 20 minutes early. Awwwman! 13:00 the sad music and sparkles are so screaming a missed opportunity to make something with your own anime twist of someone working hard in the kitchen! I so saw this turning into an anime scene since you were in Japan at this kitchen too! I know you had a bad experience with One Piece, but that was a huge fish to go against. If it's stuff with your original touch, nobody can really fuss about copyright and you could keep this work up for all to enjoy. You've been making some of the world's greatest content for years now and I never, ever want you to stop. Your sense of humour is just so, so good and, unlike RUclipsrs like Smosh and TheOdd1sOut, your content has remained fresh and funny throughout most of your career. Thanks for the great content, brother! Keep it up!
Message for Uncle Roger: you should make Biryani when you reach 10 million subscribers.
Nope, 10mil meet jamie oliver
@@torrothebear7240 that would be pure chaos, lmao.
10M jamie
Motokichi sensei has big positive energy! He's so patient with so many uncle's failed attempts 😂 It must be extra exhausting facing the heat from stove for so many hours. Thank you for your hardwork Nigel and team!
Btw if you reserved a place, especially a known place that's always full booked, it's your responsibility to calculate your arrival! Least you can do is contact them before the appointed time and ask for reschedule if possible.
So wholesome! I love all your videos but this was extra special! Also the drama for the final flip!!!! Lovely!
He was so respectful and so encouraging. He so wanted uncle Roger to succeed
Bro.. I started crying by the end of the video.. Their energy is so pure.. Congratulations Uncle Roger on 9 million.
3:20 egg cholesterol VERY GOOD CHOLESTEROL
hahhahha so funny
😂😂😂
That's simply true tho. Cholesterol is good for you, especially for men
0:58 was that a dolly chai wala reference??? 😂😂😂😂😂
LoL
10:06 Uncle Roger is having his Shounen protagonist training arc man is learning from a old great master who perfected his technique within 3 months and Uncle has to do it within 1 day 😂
Damn, Nigel!!!! I remember you getting to 500k was a huge landmark! Congratulations!!! Can’t wait for my 3rd YouTooz to arrive! Keep it up, man!!! 🤟🔥❤️
Great video. This guy is an example for more reasons than just being a great chef. Congrats for the 9M from Argentina!
2:19 his passion is unmatched by anyone he is more passionate about his work more than uncle Roger’s passion for roasting Jamie Oliver😂
Imagine uncle Roger changing the title for this video as "Uncle Roger playing with eggs for 18 mins for 9M special"
The fact that uncle roger fail to make the chef angry in many diffrent ways is crazy
Sensei is too enlightened to become angry 😂😂😂
@@pieceofcrap7167fr lmfao 😂
This must be my favorite Uncle Roger video to date! These guys had so much wholesome and funny energy togheter, while also working towards perfecting a really cool art
So cool! ❤🎉
Motokichi-sensei is so patient, cheerful, and cute! I love his sweet and upbeat personality. Wishing him a long and happy life full of success!
Lol, glad you didn't tease him too much, Uncle Roger. Great job with the omurice! Looks so tasty!
I absolutely love Motokichi I've seen a few videos of him teaching how to make omurice and he's always so fun and patient 🖤 his energy is infectious and I'm here for it
Motokichi's joy is infectious. Uncle Roger's dedication to getting it right is admirable. I'm sure a lot went into making this happen, thanks for bringing us all along on your journey and congratulations on 9 million subscribers!
@11:30 I literally clapped. Good on you for sticking with it. What a nice man to teach you as well. Wish I spoke Japanese to understand him. Seems like a fun guy
I speak some Japanese and he is hilarious all the time.
Live a long life, Motokichi Sensei! ✊🏻 It has always been my dream to visit Japan, and it is my dream now to experience your omurice in the future! 🔥

One thing I love is how Chef Motokichi is so energetic and just has a happy bubbly personality. You can tell that he is actually passionate

One of the big things I noticed here was Uncle Roger’s odd sort of…obvious respect for the master. He knows he’s a legend.
Man, what a fantastic character. So passionate, hilarious and skilled.... And then there's Uncle Roger 😮 Great video ❤
Motokichi-sensei is such a cheerful eccentric guy! I genuinely can't imagine what he's like outside of his shop and media and such.
Chef Motokichi has Uncle Roger on his heels! Love it! So much energy and joy in this guy. And Uncle Roger has a great time and learns some crazy great cooking techniques. Fuiyoh!!!
I absolutely love watching kichis videos! He is such a fun and precious man😂
I love their energy together 🤣
Visited this restaurant in 2021 during end of pandemic, was not very busy obviously but still needed to make a reservation couple weeks in advance. Motokichi sensei is a true legend, his attitude and personality really shines. And his cooking skill of Omurice has no rivals. I hope I can visit him again and eat his delicious meals.

Uncle Roger: Fuiyoohh!
Chef: HAIIIYYAAAAAAAAAA!
The Chef is so cute! I love the energy 😊
(plus, I still have a copy locally of that One Piece you did! 😜)
But Omg, it's very apparent the work that was put into this! Great job Uncle Nigel!! 😁
And congrats on getting the final attempt!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I love this guy. I saw him years ago and always wanted to go to his restaurant.
Also, congratulations on the number of subscribers you have achieved. It is very very good.
Well done to the production crew making this video so sentimental.
Uncle Roger looked tired and Sensei looking continuously happy were beautifully captured. ❤
I love how uncle Roger got the omelet part right first try but after that he couldn’t do it anymore🤣
but god dang that last attempt made me kinda emotional with the flashbacks and music
