@@Amiekinz4ever Of course, Kanami also composed the melody line. Kanami allows Miku and Saiki to change the melody according to the syllables of the poem.
Giovanni is actually a song. It took me several listens before I really appreciated it in its entirety. The music is insane but Saiki sings incredible and breathtaking if I may say so. A masterpiece. Further proof that Kanami is a genius but the other Maids are goddesses. Thanks Amy.

Well said. I think it was a good call listening to the instrumental version first. The one with vocals will click more I think. Like you said that this one definitely takes several listens but is one of my absolute favorite songs!

Kanami does so much work in every song, yet she often is buried in the mix. You appreciate her much more when she’s out front.
Her style is rooted in those arpeggios and repeating licks.
These are known as “White Room” videos. They have an intended instrumental “Without Holding Back” in this format, also. However, my personal favorite is the official music video for “From Now On.” Sentimental for me, as it was the song that changed my attitude from being Band Maid-curious to being Band Maid-blown away

While I love Saiki's voice, I love these "white room" instrumental videos. They just show the talent and technical brilliance of these ladies. These videos are so much fun! One of the things that make Band-Maid music so entertaining (never boring) is all the changes they bring to the song (often in its middle). KANAMI IS A GENIUS!!!!!

Mincho is so incredibly talented. Often vocals get in the way of the brilliant music she composes. And that's not a knock on Saiki. It's just that Mincho composes songs so well there is no need for vocals.

Inasmuch I love hard rock, metal and punk rock periods of Band Maid, this prog might be a new face of Band Maid. I would add here Matchless Gum and Unfair Game.
This is one of their more "crazy" songs. This song does have lyrics. This is a special video of just the instruments. I hope you check out the actual song as well because there's also some great vocals too.
IMO the instrumental version "hits big" when you know the vocal version. He asks himself, what the hell is Kanami doing in the background? I can't hear it because of Saiki... (Champ of Medium react )

Just so your aware, the origional has singing- it wasnt wrote as an instrumental - but besides from 4-5 killer instrumentals BM have done instrumental versions of quite a few of their songs- including this :) I profer the OG song - BUT, to fully appreciate it you do need to have listened to the instrumental too- otherwise you just cant fully get what they are playing.

If you got the deluxe, limited edition CD of their past several albums, you got a bonus DVD. These had 3 or 4 songs, 5 versions of each. One with all of the instrumentalists and one focusing on each member. They're designed to show people how to play their songs. Studio versions of "Onset" and "Without Holding Back," two designed instrumentals, were only available this way.

I listened to the vocal version first, which is just as good, but I thought Kanami's crazy guitar riffs were buried under Saiki's vocals. So when I listened to this instrumental version, I couldn't believe how crazy all the instrumentals were! Actually, this happens in other songs as well, so I suggest you check out the other White Room instrumental series.😊

Giovanni excellent nstrumental check out another excellent instrumental Black Hole. Both are originally songs with Saiki's incredibe vocals. Masterpiece instrumental's by BANDMAID are 'Without Holding Back' and 'From Now On' .

Just a heads up..... These "White Room" instrumentals are usually songs without vocals.... EG - Giovanni has vocals, and with vocals it sounds SO MUCH DIFFERENT - different melody lines. But then with the instrumental "Offset", the live video came first - then they did a "white room" version of it. Edit: "Onset" is the name the song, NOT Offset. Too much beer. 🍻🍻🤦♂🤦♂

Giovanni isn't an instrumental, and even though many people seem to prefer this instrumental only version, I love the original version more. It's so interesting how vocals do accenting at one point (it sort of sounds like that to me)
Saiki in this song is another instrument.

So, during a recent recording update on "X," Kanami said that Akane and Misa were given difficult tasks in recording new music. Misa said she had finger cramps, but will persevere, lol! Can we say 230 bpm, Po! This was in regards to an interview Miku and Kanami had w/ Herman Li, where Kanami asked what was DragonForce's fastest beat. Herman replied 230 Bpm. Kanami's eyes😳I bet Akane (listening to that twitch cast) said to Misa, Give me that whiskey, Po! Btw, try Giovanni with Saiki and Miku singing. It's a completely different song. I think the "White room" track(s) were added to show how much Band Maid puts into (nurturing) each song, Po! Thank you, may I have another, Po! 🦍🍌

Alright Amie, who doesnt like girls in cute little school girl outfits playing fast metal? This is not new or revolutionary, its been done before and done better! Do i have to name names? I've seen hundreds of highschool age kids in rock bands who can play their instruments with skill. This a clever gimmick nothing more! That being said, i did enjoy the performance! But its not better than everything else that came before, its not groundbreaking music by any stretch of the imagination.
I do not know. But do you have some knowledge on BAND-MAID's total catalogue?
