When Miku did the heavier version of this in concerts she sang the high note even higher and the crowd just loved it and cheered every time. She admitted to lowering it an octave or two for this acoustic. However in all the songs, when she is supporting and backing Saiki. It is Miku who brings the emotion to a song. To have two such talented singers in one band is a real gift.
Well said
And a moment to also appreciate the beautiful backing vocals of Akane, the woman who says she can't sing but actually has the most powerful voice out of all the Maids :)
She's amazing
I love how the crowd goes wild every time Miku sings this live(been there), regardless whether she hits that really high note or not, they appreciate her genuine effort! Remember Miku was the original lead singer for Band-Maid, but fired herself and found Saiki to make a better rock band. Miku won a singing contest out of 2300 contestants, so there is no question she can sing, and her harmonies with Saiki are irreplaceable. The hardest working Small Pigeon on the planet!
PO🕊
She's incredible
Yes!!!
She didn't retire from the lead singer though. Band-Maid has a few songs that are perfect for Miku and she sings the lead. You can check rock in me and time.
Brightest star, which was performed at Yokohama Arena isn't officially available yet until the new album comes out, but a really interesting song.
I'm betting that Band-Maid will release one song with Miku on lead vocal, one instrumental and one song with lyric written by Saiki in their future albums. Maybe one with Saiki on keyboard as well, who knows?
I guess time will tell
Band Maid are a generational talent. Eventually, the world will awaken to how truly great they are. Rock on 🤘
Let's hope so, they deserve more recognition
Lyrics were inspired by Romeo and Juliet. Great reaction.
"Aaron, Aaron, where for art thou Aaron"? If you could hear the enunciation of that you'd be going "Bravo, bravo".😌
I love Romeo and Juliette
I am trying to hear your Juliet accent, and it is scaring me 😉@@GaryHolloway-810
@@Amiekinz4everin the original harder version Saiki does a short spoken line from Shakespeare. Both versions are beautiful in different ways IMHO. Bandmaid is absolutely amazing at rearranging their songs.
Lol
Miku was the original singer of the band, but she thought her voice wasn't strong enough so she wanted another singer for BAND-MAID. Now we have the amazing Saiki. I hope Miku will continue with her Cluppo project because she do have a beautiful voice.
Never ceases to amaze me that Miku didn't start playing the guitar until after she formed the band; what an amazing woman! So much respect. Po!
It's funny too cause she did it not because she loves guitar but because she loves band-maid and knew it would help the band.
That's so kewl!!!
They are amazing
A pigeon singing about a nightingale. Akane on harmony vocal. Miku has a 3+ octave range.
She's got a beautiful voice
No matter what venue or band format, Band-Maid always brings something unexpected and special to the eyes and ears... and heart! 💝🎀 Thx, Amiekinz!
Well said!
3/5 of the band here, without their lead singer and lead guitarist, and they still sound better than 99,5% music nowadays. Miku wasn't such a great singer when she started the band, people always rave about Saiki's evolution (and so do I!) but Miku, while learning guitar and penning lyrics, has also turned into an amazing singer in her own style. I love Misa's bass work here, her arrangement is so creative and musical, it's to die for. And yes, Akane can play gently too ☺.
This was a great performance
And Saiki has played keyboard in two songs at their acoustic concert. And practicing guitar. I know many people hoping for Kanami - Miku lead trade offs, but I'm hoping Saiki and Miku doing duet with both playing acoustic guitar or different instrument. It would be breathtaking.
Yeah, it would be amazing
You are so right..These ladies deserve so much more attention and ”glory” here in Western world. They should be Top of the charts everywhere. Magical band, amazing musicians, wonderful people 🔥🤘❤️
Well said!
Sadly the 14 songs from this acoustic concert are not available on Spotify, ITunes etc., the CD of this concert has only been made available to fan club members. The normal version is on the 2021 Unseen World album and is a rocker. Miku also has a solo project under the name 'Cluppo' and there is an EP of 6 songs 'Hatofull' of what she callso Hippie Pop. Peace and Love and Voice being my favourites of those. Additionally she did one other song for an Anime ending called 'With You'
Band-Maid Prime.
"Sayonakidori", "Catharsis", and "Page" are my favorite songs from their Christmas on-line okyu-ji. This slower tempo allows Miku's beautiful voice to really shine. It is amazing how far has come as a guitarist since she picked it up AFTER the band started. Kanami, who was her sensei, has to be so proud. The song is loosely based on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Julie". Sayonakidori means nightingale in Japanese. There is a line between Romeo and Juliet that mentions a nightingale. In Juliet's mind the nightingale singing meant she and Romeo could stay together all night long, but Romeo told her it was a lark not a nightingale. Talk about an interrupted romance. This song is absolutely beautiful, however.
Her voice is soooo beautiful
Miku's job is being a Rock Star, her hobby is being a Pop Star. If you've seen her on her solo side project "Cluppo", you'll know what I mean.
I've not seen that yet
Yo girl band maid...why why why (live) is fire...thanks
Why why why? Is that a song?
@@Amiekinz4ever Yeppers.
OK I'll add that to my list
I love your reactions ! Keep going. Spread the word about these wonderful ladies!
Thank you so much!! That is the plan!!!
Akane on backing vocals ,I wish she would sing more
She's got a great voice
Bandmaid has 5 beautiful voices actually, we only get to hear them all in a few songs. There is a short clip of all of them just singing the word "America" before their first U.S. trip and they all sound beautiful.
Please send me that clip
@@Amiekinz4ever this is a song that you can hear MISA doing back up vocals,, this is "TIME" a song miku performed before " sayonakidori " on the same okyuji

Thank you
As you may know, Miku didn't play guitar when they started the band. Sh not only had to learn it play while in a working band she had to sing at the same time. Kanami would record her parts and then teach them to her later for the Music Videos. But if anyone wondered if she still leans too on her teacher, Kanami, just have them watch this one. And watch closely. Akane is singing backing vocals.
That's so amazing
'Anemone' should be right up your alley if you've enjoyed this song.
Both the original and the acoustic.
I'll add that to my band maid list
@@Amiekinz4ever have a box of tissues ready for the acoustic.
Thank you, I will
日本から。
Our" small pigeon MIKU "is a most adorable rock star with a cute angel voice. But on stage, she is powerful, and so funny. I am sure you already understand that BANND-MAID has many faces. If you compare the acoustic and electronic versions, you will be surprised at the difference. That's right. The girls are not only great composers, but they all have great arranging skills. I hope you continue to enjoy your BANND-MAID journey.
I love this band
The contrast to the original shows just how amazing Kanami is as a writer, it is hard to imagine they are the same song, and yet... ruclips.net/video/wbXUXVmu_X4/видео.html
Truth
One of the few time we heard Akane singing backup vocal.
I love it
i am not familiar with details of the western nightingale's cultural context.
however, in Japan , i know that the nightingale is a guardian bird of graves, and is the embodiment of a person who cries sadly, longing for a loved one who has passed away.
Thank you for sharing that insight.
Ai is the Japanese word for love.
Thank you for reacting to my favorite Band-Maid song. Every time🥲🥲
I love this song
This band is really really hot 🔥.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Of course they still sound better than 99.5% of todays music. Not sure if BAND-MAIKO could pull it off with only three members but let's face it they probably could :)
I wouldn't be betting any amount of currency against any three members of Band-Maiko.....
@rogerchance9074 Spock said 99.8675308%....he was wrong cos i believe you more :)
@@RahimRahmat How about 3 members of BAND-MAIKO doing a collab with 2 members of BAND-MAID.😯
All I know is they are amazing
@@GaryHolloway-810 If 3 people are awesome, what would 3+2 look like, right?
I wonder if they would ever do a collab... heh heh heh.... be the ultimate April Fool's release, really....
I hope you check out the original too. It’s fun to see reactors when they hear the difference. It’s wild how the turned some of these songs into acoustic. I don’t think man bands could have done the same as well as them.
I plan on checking it out
When I heard this on the album I thought it was a good song. This acoustic version was a revelation and is my favourite recording of any B-M song.
Kobato's voice is beautiful on this, as are Akane's harmonies. Misa's bass is also delightful.
Everyone (quite rightly) praises Saiki's voice, but Miku's is perfect for the songs she sings, both in B-M and solo, as Cluppo.
It's so beautiful
I agree. I appreciate that Band-Maid didn't allow 😂 Miku from completely firing herself as a lead singer. She's way too good.
She really is a great vocalist
All of these young ladies are very talented
Yes they are
... AKANE does sing backing vocals ??? very rare ... love it
That's awesome
Akane is playing the drums with rods, not brushes for this acoustic set.
They're made by Wincent, who also released a signature line of Akane drumsticks a short time ago.
Thank you
I prefer this vocal performance by Miku over the original version. But mind you, the composition of the original version is very unique and I also absolutely love it. Now the lead singer performed piano/keyboard in a couple of songs, It's exciting to see what they are going to do in the future.
They are amazing
SAYONARA
SAYONA-RA
SAYONA-KI-DO-RI
It’s the story of Romeo and Juliet. The original is a hard Rocking song. Here’s a live performance of SAYNAKIDORI from San Francisco, in 2022 - ruclips.net/video/k1CDIxMus0w/видео.htmlsi=Ymliu9xYNYcwev0h
Thank you
Sigh..... my favourite Miku song in the whole Christmas Acoustic.....Sigh....
(I know that the prior song, "Time", is your favourite, Gary. I love that song too, but even you have to admit "Sayonakidori" is just brilliant).
Who is Gary?
@@Amiekinz4ever If you run through your comments, there is one prominent fellow named Gary, who always makes awesome comments 😛
I just love throwing a spotlight on that chap.
@@RahimRahmat ah, yeah, I can't keep up with the comments 😆 🤣 😂
I do try though
I'm divided between acoustic Sayonakidori and Rock in Me. If Band-Maid perform this acoustic version of Sayonakidori at their tour final, that's be amazing. Will bring me tears of joy!
I mean, it's a great song
Is this song about lost love? Well, since it's inspired by Romeo and Juilet, you could say that....😉
The acoustic version has a WAAAY different feel than the studio version. Acoustic us an alt-folk song. The studio version is a rocking banger.
The acoustic is 🔥
This is the best live version of "sayonakidori"
ruclips.net/video/_B9U7GPu3Cc/видео.htmlsi=wPedhLC1PgdOm92S
,,, this is from the " online okyuji",, .. in the " pre-u.s. okyuji" miku forgot the lyrics 😂😂😂
I love it, thank you
Don't pause so often. Please❤😊
I can't help it.
TRIVIA: When Band-Maid was formed, Miku sang lead and couldn't play guitar. Then they brought in Saiki putting Miku in the harmony vocal. Miku has a 3-octave range. She can go from Alto to Soprano. Her transitions in and out of falsetto are fluid and wonderful. Kanami is Miku's guitar sensei. Miku is now a good rhythm player.
That's awesome
Not brushes...hot rod sticks. On several songs, MISA is playing lead on her bass.
Thank you for the clarity on the sticks
