Hello everyone! Just to be clear, we did not know this song already has a verison with vocals. We meant no disrespect suggesting we make our own to this song. It was just an idea. We have our own music to work on so no worries! Thanks for checking out the video!

No need to apologize. I took it as a sign of respect! Band Maid likes to re-arrange their songs and they enjoy hearing bands covers of their material. If Offset Era makes a cover with original vocals, I'm sure that Band Maid would listen to it!

Firstly "Giovanni" is a vocal track released on their "Unseen World" album.
This is a 'white room' instrumental. They have never been officially released and are often only included on Blu-Ray with the limited edition of an album or single. This "Giovanni" white room was released with the limited edition of the "Unseen World" album - with white room instrumentals of "After Life" , "No God" and "Without Holing Back" .
Note that each "white room" MV comes in five versions. One MV focusing on one member and one with all four like the one you watched.
The guitars are tuned to E Standard for this track.

I always refer to them as their "How-To" videos, since you can specifically watch the member / instrument of your choice all the way through. I love them.
In this specific song, hearing it with and without vocals is like two entirely different songs. It's shocking (to me, a layperson)

What amazed me most about this song is that the original version with vocals has a lead guitar that sounds very low in the mix, and many fans didn't know that there were these crazy guitar riffs underneath the vocals. This little sweet composer/lead guitarist has a gift. An extraordinary talent. Next song? well, how about "H-G-K" or "Corallium"?

The song Giovanni, with vocals, is from Unseen World (same album as Manners and Black Hole). It's become a favourite of mine but it took a while for me to make sense of it, so it's good that you listened to the instrumental version first: the fewer layers make it more comprehensible.

These girls are always surprising. After being a 3+year fan, just last night I was listening to "No God" instrumental and found a tiny guitar swipe in two choruses I never heard before that absolutely made made that section, not unlike the tiny, only once, spiral ascending guitar part in "Manners" second verse right before the chorus, I recently found that no one ever talks about. These two parts sneak right past all the reactors, Kanami is amazing.

It's so true. I was just listening to the Genshin Concert 2022 again (I hadn't listened to it for awhile); the third verse starts at 6:15 or thereabouts, and there at 6:18 just before Kanami starts the melody is this weird two note transition. It's not hidden or anything, but I'd never noticed it. Then I started hearing stuff from Miku I'd never noticed. She starts with some chords to lead into the verse but after that her volume is turned way down. But if you listen there's these little transition notes between her power chords. Sooo tasty!

5:49 it's a third guitar track indeed. mincho-zilla regularly beefs up this part in their material. this is one of the few songs where it is a bit upfront in the mix. on their manic ballad 'i can't live without you', there's even a third chorus-rich layer added to the song, and somewhere in the middle part of the song a quasi-whammy dive bomb spices up the transition.

You may not have known, the White Room series are basically Tutorials. There are 4 other videos for each song, one for e each instrument. That way you could focus on just one instrument and learn that entire part. Then go back to this video and see how it fits within the context of the whole song. Whenever there's an additional instrument, it's played by Kanami in the backing tracks, unless it's a vocal double.

  • @greylocke100
    @greylocke100 Год назад +3

Yeah, certain people will upload videos specifically for reactors to react to, the main video usually is only up for a short time, before being removed, many times by the original uploader, other times by the record company. It all depends on the track and if it has ever been publicly released before.
MISA will decide how she plays based on how hard she wants the tone to be. When picked, the bass strings have a "THUNK" to them vs when they are slapped or plucked.
And I can't remember who said it, but Akane's double bass was referred to her doing a thrash metal kick drum part in a pop-rock song.
And as others have probably mentioned this is an instrumental version of a song with a vocal track, but if you hear it without the vocals you can actually hear all the intricacies hidden behind Saiki and Miku's vocals.

The instrumental version is also on the CD that comes with the scorebook. Almost the entire Unseen World is in instrumental version(youth the track on the limited edition is the missing version). This video is also off the same limited edition CD version as well.
Kanami often has a harmony line in the back track. Making it very relistenable over and over.

Giovanni is an song wit lyrics they just occasionally turn one of their songs into an instrumental. They also have official instrimentals like Onset or Without Holding Back, this one Miku and Kanami Played with Herman Li on his youtube where he was "auditioning" to be a maid, he even wore the maid costume. The three played with him adding his dragonforce flare to it. The song Play was an instrumental they turned into a song with lyrics. The instrumentals are for giving saiki a break from the vocals because they typically to 22+ songs in a concert. They also have an audience participation time with Miku after the instrumental and then end it with a Miku lead song. Onset live is an experience.

      - Unleash!!!!! (Instrumental Music Video)
      - Sense (Instrumental Music Video)
      - From Now On (MV - black room, originally an instrumental)
And as far as audio instrumental versions goes (so no videos):
      - The Yolo EP/single came with an instrumental version of Yolo
      - The official scorebook of Unseen World came with a full instrumental CD of the standard edition of Unseen World

These "white room" instrumentals are not altered in any way to make up for the lack of vocals. That is what the song sounds like without them. They come on bonus DVDs with their albums, which is why they don't get "officially" released as music videos. Only "From Now On" has gotten an official music video. Their white room instrumentals are "Onset" and "Without Holding Back" which were written as instrumentals. Then you have "Dice", "Domination", Afterlife", "Giovanni", "No God", "Sense", and "Unleash". "Don't Be Long" was written as an instrumental but never got a white room video for some reason. "Yolo" may have been their first song t o have the vocals removed, but that instrumental version only got released as a b-side to their "Yolo" single I think. They also released an entirely instrumental version of the album "Unseen World", which came on a bonus CD with the musical score book. You can still get it, but only directly from Japan. Phew... I'm done. I think my comment is accurate, though I'm sure I'll get corrected by someone if it's not. 😀

Miku, for the most part learned to play using drop D to get up to speed quicker and be performing basic rhythms so Kanami could do other things (also how I learned to play originally). Her parts were written to accommodate until she got up to speed and now plays normal tuning, but continues playing the older stuff in drop D. I think the Aces and Eights (LP style) guitar is drop D and the Flappy Pigeon (also LP) is normal tuning. I noticed she also plays the "V" in drop D as well. I could be wrong about that, but if so, I'm sure someone will correct it....
