Nice reaction. You've had all the explanations about the meaning of the song, so you know now it is far more wide-reaching than just a lost love. It is about how even the darkest times, the worst experiences when it seems there is no hope and that there is nothing left will pass. No matter how long the night, the morning will arrive. Colour will return to the world.🌈
Su had every crowd in every country they played around the world last year helping her to "light up this dark, dark world" and it was special every time.
In this one it was extra special. It was Momometal's first show as an official member (she had been supporting Su and Moa as a dancer for 4 years) and she finally had her mic ... and it was the first time she was called out by name as Momometal.🦊
That's is monumental
@@Amiekinz4ever MOMOnuMETAL :3
Babymetal are always pretty cagey about what their songs mean. When asked directly, they tend to just say that it's up to the listener to draw their own meaning from it. When the song first released, people interpreted it as a sad song, but in an interview last year, Su-metal expressed surprised that people took it that way because she felt that it was light and hopeful and she always looks happy when singing it.
The reason that all three have mics in this video and not in the other one is that the other one was flimed on Black Night (April 1st 2023), before Momoko had been officially announced as Momometal at the end of the show. This video was filmed on Clear Night (April 2nd), which was Momometal's first performance as a full member of Babymetal, so she now had a mic.
I was at Black Night and Clear Night, so one of those lights in the crowd is mine. It was an amazing show to experience live and of all the Babymetal shows that I have seen live, it's still my favourite.
That's soooooo awesome
I saw Babymetal at Yokohama Arena in early March. It was a two day concert and, overall, it was such a fantastic experience. The crowd felt so unified and everyone was smiling at each other. Su is an incredible front person.
That's soooo awesome
So glad you've entered the Foxhole with such enthusiasm. That was a good call on the microphones. In a nutshell. The three Babymetal OG's were left as a duo officially in 2018 when Yui left for undisclosed health reasons. For a period of five years Babymetal continued touring and recording with Su and Moa. In that period they arrived at what is known as the Avenger era. Three rotating dancers would fill in the choreography hole left by Yui. But the Avengers did not sing. Momo (stage left here) was one of the Avengers. In the concert the day before this one. Momo was announced as the new official member of Babymetal. Along with that recognition as a full member she now sings along too. As you noted the missing mic you must have seen a song from the previous night. All three ladies were dressed in the warrior black. Today they have the new golden, iridescent customs helping to usher in a new age. From now on you'll always see all three-Su, Moa and Momo with mics. I noticed you smiling at one point as Su was smiling. I personally think one of the reasons there is so much joy on the stage this night is because Babymetal is officially back to being the trio they were destined to be.
I love everything about this
Ha, knew you'd like this!
I loved it
I thought you’d like this one. ❤️🦊

Welcome back to the Foxhole and now with the new metalverse era🦊🤘🌐
Thanks for coming back with this suggestion.
Monochrome is another beautiful track from latest album, it was the 2nd single released in November 2022 and there's an official lyrics video really cool if you wanna enjoy the studio album version, later in 2023 right before this concert you just saw they released the Piano Version at The First Take surprising everyone with another stunning and beautiful one off stripped down version.
The lyrics got some Norse mythology reference and when the lyrics vid came out there were many theories around, later they said they were surprised about it and saying they just wanna give a hopeful song.
Here's some official info:
_"One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is MONOCHROME and this 2nd pre-release digital single “Monochrome” centers around this theme. From the eyes of the children, what color were the monochrome fireworks lighting up in the night sky? This song expresses the hopeful wish on Ragnarok, which signifies doomsday in Norse mythology, twinkling across the starry skies in rainbow colors."_
This was live at BabyMetal Begins - PIA Arena MM Clear Night, Yokohama on April 2, MomoMetal first concert as an official member (she's the new official member after YuiMetal left the group in 2018), you can notice SuMetal speaking to them in the middle section and giving that recognition.
They got this magical moment when performing live in every setlist they did throughout the recent World Tour 2023, and we'll definitely gonna see more this year.
The composer behind this song is the same one behind Karate, Rondo Of Nightmare, Kagerou, the arrangement of Megitsune and also behind Believing from this same latest album, you should really not miss those songs.
Next suggestion:
- METALIZM official MV or live at PIA Arena MM 2013 with live sound it's even better.
.
Like SuMetal said at the end: "Just smile".🙂
Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🌈
😊😊😊
This awesome performance hits me in the feels, no matter how often I watch it.🥲 🦊 🖖❤
It's pretty great
Great reaction🤘🦊✨
Thank you
Hi from Ireland fantastic love the pia show, you must do road of resistance live at pia and megitsune at pia both epic as is all their live shows but the pia concert was one of my favourites and I have all their shows, subscribed and liked
Great suggestion! Thank you
Well stated. The PIA versions of RoR and Megitsune really are next level at PIA...even by the high standards Babymetal perform too!
😊😊😊
Enjoyed that. I hope you enjoyed your second viewing . The song is about whatever happens their is always hope . As Su said, help me bring light to this dark, dark world . Su's home town is Hiroshima, and i believe it was her grandmother who was a survivor of the bomb . Su said she thought of it as an upbeat song and full of hope . Certainly fills me with hope for the future 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Wow, that's an incredible story
@@Amiekinz4ever Yep. The monochrome firework is the A-Bomb exploding in the sky over Hiroshima. It was detonated over 1,00ft above the city to maximise the impact and was so bright it stole the colour from the sky.. as well as the futures of so many people. The following days were full of suffering but as Su sings even the longest night ends and we all have the chance to paint the sky and the future.
Yeah, war is ugly and I wish we never had them.
ありがとう❤
🧀🍅🍚🍑🍼🤘🏼😁😭😋😁👍🇯🇵
Thank you!!!
So nice to see your reaction. You don't just react because you like the song. You understand what you are looking at. Choreography. Musical performance. Stage presence. Vocal. Interaction with the crowd. Therefore, your reaction is more important than the reaction of an average listener. Thank you.
Awwwww thank you
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed this very performance at the venue where and when Momoko was inducted into BABYMETAL officially. Yes, she had a headset mic for the first time like Moa has done since BM's inception. I sang the ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Momometal with my loudest voice in the show holding my phone. What a bliss!
The flying drones with cameras that enabled the beautiful aerial cinematograph were manipulated by experts including Ms. Shiraishi. She is a member of team Japan for World Drone Racing Championship.
As you may know Western (American) Kami Band played in the girls' back. They have supported BABYMETAL's 2023 world tour and this year as well. Japanese fans always appreciate the devoted support like knights by Chris, CJ, Anthony and Clint (Ryan replaced in USA). They are really unsung heroes.
😊😊😊
Nice reaction. Did you notice that the lighting was monochrome for the song until the end when the color comes back? Babymetal likes to tell a story on stage with the performances. Also, when they're in the middle of the cell phone lights. Su asks if Moametal and Momometal can see it. Su reaches out and invites Momometal into the trio. This for many fans was Su and Moa welcoming Momo into Babymetal. As you noticed all three had mics here. Momo had just become an official member of Babymetal. Getting her mic. Moa has always had a mic as she is one of the official original members with Su. With that, Babymetal moves into a new era. And so far, it's been fire.
That's so awesome
Great reaction! This song is absolutely amazing, and Babymetal never fails to deliver.
*Context behind “Microphone”:*
After original 3rd member Yui’s departure in 2018, Su & Moa continued as a duo with various backup dancers (no mic). Momoko being one of them.
At the end of this concert (Babymetal Begins, Day 1 - Black Night, Apr 2023), Momoko was inaugurated as the official 3rd member, “Momometal”.
Next day, Day 2 - Clear Night, she donned a mic. Your reaction to “Maya” was Day 1, and Monochrome was Day 2.
I suggest checking out some of their earlier performances, which are equally amazing, and impressive for being so young back then!
*Road of Resistance (Official Live):* Epic power metal battle anthem from Jan 2015.
*Catch Me if You Can (Budokan 2014):* Slipknot, but cute and adorable, lol.
🤘🦊
Thank you
@@Amiekinz4ever You’re welcome!
😊😊😊
Nice reaction! There are some people here saying the same, I just repeat them: Knew that you would like this! I knew it before I even start watching your reaction 😉 It´s a great song and an awesome, wholesome performance.
Yeah, this was great

If you want to see "where they came from" you simply need to watch the Doki Doki morning music video. They were performing it live and and had started recording vocals when Yui and Moa where 11 years old and Su was still 12. By the time they finished recording the song, filmed and released the video , Yui and Moa were still 11 and and and Su had turned 13 maybe 2 months before the video release.
When Yui was still in the group, her and Moa were always mic'ed and singing. After Yui got sick and left, it was just Su and Moa for a bit.
They added a third "member" to balance out the show, but only as a dancer , no mic. They had a group they called the avengers they alternated as the third girl. They made one of them Momoka and official member and called her momometal last April. And since then she's been mic'ed. If you heard the song metali that came out last year, momo does the weird , witch like talking.
This concert was their first show outside of southeast Asia, but had already down headlining shows in world famous venues like the budokon.
For this show they were supposed to play the third stage, but due to gimme chocolate being such a viral hit they got to the festival and found out they were moved to the main stage. Talk about putting a weight on the girls. They were nervous about playing to the UK crowd to begin with, imagine the pressure of playing the main stage at one of the biggest festivals in the UK.
Another great reaction! If you want to see an awesome live performance with a dope ass crowd, please react to Baymetal's Road of Resistance live in Japan 2015 official video. They were mere teenagers then that performed an epic song!!!
Will do, thank you
Su really feeling it here. If you go to Hiroshima now, it's a modern city full of optimism.
That's awesome
You are also fire! great fun reacts! Speaking of things that are fire with BM, their choreographer was the Olympic choreographer, their camera drones are operated by a champion drone racer, just stacked talent on talent at every possible station.
That's awesome. They are fun to watch
Pls do more babymetal reactions
You know I will
Hello Kitsunes greetings from Germany. Su sings about the bright star that shone over her hometown of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945... If you look at the official Video you can see the falling Bomb and the Wasteland after. Have a good time Foxes 狐神のために
I will react to the music video at some point. I love the art of music videos
Rondo of nightmare 🤘🦊
Nice one👊🏽⚡️You’re interpretation of the lyrics was spot on🦊🤘🏾
Awwwww thank you
😁😁😁🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤪🤘
Great reaction - however if you want to get more idea what it's really about maybe watch the lyric video. More pls!
I hear it's about the nuclear bomb that was dropped in 1945
@@Amiekinz4ever I think it's pretty indisputable that's a strong element of the song - although it is generalised. The visuals in the lyric video make it fairly explicit. Ty for the reaction to what to me is one of their best tracks.
It's a great song for sure
Great reaction!
What's the guitar on the very right?
On my wall or in the video?
@@Amiekinz4ever your wall
The one closest to the neon sign is a Michael Kelly, the white one next to that is my mutt. Then I have my fender 40 year anniversary strat next to that and next to that is my hallow bodied fender telecaster, then I have a few more guitars off the screen as well
Didn't think of that meaning. One version is the atomic blast from survivors of Hiroshima ( where Su-Metal is from). Check out the One Take version and you get another feeling.
Thank you
Spannend viele meinen das das die Atombombe auf Hiroshima gemeint ist Gruß azs Thailand phitsanulok von deutschen Auswanderer 😊
