The way GT7s license tests would immediately disqualify you for ever so slightly driving off track or gently tapping a wall absolutely fucking infuriated me.

GT4 S-14 (Peugeot 205 T16 at Chamonix) was pure hell (ironic, since it's a snow stage) for me.I could do IA-15 and S-16 (though probably not the NTSC-J version) all day,but god,I struggled to get even bronze at S-14 Oh and of course the Coffee Breaks are pure hell as well
The trick is although some of the courses are very tough, such as GT4 S-16, they actually give you a LOT of leeway with gold times, the player got the gold and beat it by 30 seconds there for example. In fact, another channel found out there was originally a trophy higher than gold (or that gold times used to be much tougher) but it was removed.
From my overall experience I have to say GT3 gave me some major headaches especially with B8, A7 and I believe IA9 or 10 😅 But I still love them damn games ❤
That Toyota stage on GT3 at Monaco took me ages. I was using a controller and it spun all the time. It was unimaginably oversteery. When I managed a 1:33. Something I was the happiest lad ever :D
I didn't play all the GT games, only 1 and 2 from the series, but the hardest tests of all time, for me, as I remember, always were A-5, IA-7 (GT 1); IC-3, IC-9 (GT 2). In my early days I used to struggle in IA-3 (GT 2) too. Never played enough GT 3 and GT 4 to give their hardest ones here, someday I'll try.
That last one reminds me of the “coffee breaks” that were not a break at all!! Having done 100% and all gold for GT1-6 I can happily say I won’t be doing so for GT7, it allows me to enjoy the game so much more.
IC-4 from GT2 is definitely much harder than IB-8, I always found very dumb the fact that the gold time for it is the same from IC-3, even with those stupid walls.
You must do the same line, the walls are just for distract. Same happens with slaloms in GT4, both are same time, same car and same place. The difference is the TC, in first is on and in the second is off
I've only played GT1 and GT2, but fun fact is I don't struggle with any of those you show. For me the worst test was that Dodge Viper in Laguna Seca in GT2...holy shit that was one helluva hard task for me personally
Wow, before even starting to watch the video, the first license test that came to my mind was the Camaro one from GT2 and surprise, surprise, it’s in this video almost stealing the #1 spot

Truly the best racing series ever!!! I've Golded every single license... and remember going back to see if I could shave off a hundredth of a second somewhere... lol... perfection... 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Hard to say. GT3 rally licenses were also pretty easy as well as GT4's. In fact I was surprised to see the Delta one in here, I beat it quickly when I was like 11y/o or so. I'd say GT4 rally licenses were the easiest, just turn aids off, learn some inertia and it's almost a gift.
Oh man, I can't believe your number 1 is the same as mine. I frickin' hate those slalom tests. Well, I hate all the license tests, but those slalom ones bring out the rage in me.
This brought back memories, skipping classes he play F1 97, GT and eventually GT2 on the PS. I remember being blown away by the "realistic" graphics and handling of the cars xD. I was just as hooked on GT3 A-Spec and friend of mine brought back a fake copy of GT4 back from China for me, that I played relentlessly on a chipped PS2. Those were the days :-)
I spent 2 hours on the GT6 S-5 Test. I got the time 2:12 and I've never felt better after that. However the hardest one for me by far was Gran Turismo 3 S-3 or S-2 I don't remeber, but it was the one in Apricot Hill with the Opel Speedster.
That Bugatti in GT6 was a pain in the a$$, but once after I finished all other single player races I gave it another go for a gold and got a 2.11 for first attempt.
I thought it was easy because honestly I love this track, I would love to see it come back to Gran Turismo. That Bugatti is a boat though, and I definitely missed a few corners and got off track on my first tries
GT2 B4. Driving that slow compact in a circle for 2 rounds. Watched multiple gold runs on it, but whatever I do I lose time on it. Also it's hilarious how hard you have to work in 2 for those license cars while most of the races throw stuff after you if you enter with a car anywhere close to the restrictions.
Closest to it were the Drivatar training lessons in the original Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox - you had to complete them in order to be able to hire your drivatar to race for you in career, and your driving prowess was emulated by your drivatar, so if you sucked, it sucked...
For me the hardest test is the international a on gran turismo 3 with the pagani zonda. Men that shit has to be done perfect if you want to get the gold.
There was one in GT PSP, in the bonus license tests After completing the first tests (A-H/I) It was in Seattle, with a Plymouth Superbird. No matter how hard I try, I cant take more than silver.
I grew up with these games until the PS3 came around and I switched over to XBox360 solely because it was released first. So I've had to get used to the Forza series instead now. There are definitely things I miss about the Gran Turismo series, a bunch of them (hence why I'm watching videos like this and I even occasionally still play GT2 and GT4 on emulator). But... I have to say, licence tests aren't one of them. If they were just challenges, maybe they'd be fine. But the way you had to do them to then-unlock stuff that's significantly easier to play than them (most of the time, and mostly due to getting a choice of what car you're in)... it was just such a difficulty zigzag. Jarring. I find Forza's whole "throw you in at the deep end" thing jarring too... with both, you're in stupidly powerful cars way too early on. I'd prefer something where you start off in the slowest things and progress up to the fastest things... that makes sense, right? One way or another, I never quite got that from any game, lol.
I've played Gran Turismo since day 1 and I've gotten gold in probably 90% of all the tests. The early games, I feel, were harder. Could be that I was a kid. Lol. But I'm still in love with the franchise and play Sport from time to time. It's been all-out victory or nothing when I play those games and my brother never appreciated my militant approach.

@@charlesvaughan3517 Bro, we had the same evening, I just passed it with a 42.711 😆
The Midfield raceway one in the Pennzoil GTR. Took me forever cos of the last hairpin!
Yeah; that's one of several that GT2 gives you damn little margin of error on...
I've never gotten more than silver on that one...
One I would've added was S2 (i think) from GT3 with the GT40 around Seattle II, that car really didn't want to turn like I wanted it to...
With wheel this wasn’t to hard after you know how the car behaves.
I’ve never had an issue with that GT40, but A-7 in that game was like impossible to gold.
@@DavidRSAT it’s all with the hairpin leading to the final straight that makes or breaks you, once you get the rhythm of the sloping slaloming
Bro absolute sick vid! Dude that ic -4 omfg held me up for two months
That Toyota stage on GT3 at Monaco took me ages. I was using a controller and it spun all the time. It was unimaginably oversteery. When I managed a 1:33. Something I was the happiest lad ever :D
I remember in GT1 the Licence A-3 was pretty tough! So was the GT4 S-16
I always felt one of the hardest was the Complex Circuit RUG RGT one in GT3.
For me it was the white skyline one, the last one of IA
I didn't play all the GT games, only 1 and 2 from the series, but the hardest tests of all time, for me, as I remember, always were A-5, IA-7 (GT 1); IC-3, IC-9 (GT 2). In my early days I used to struggle in IA-3 (GT 2) too. Never played enough GT 3 and GT 4 to give their hardest ones here, someday I'll try.
I found S-5 pretty easy, it was S-1 that was a true nightmare (which may have also been caused by the fact that I came within 5 Thousands thrice)
That's the only IC test I *still* can't gold yet
You must do the same line, the walls are just for distract. Same happens with slaloms in GT4, both are same time, same car and same place. The difference is the TC, in first is on and in the second is off
Still haven't golded that one
I've only played GT1 and GT2, but fun fact is I don't struggle with any of those you show. For me the worst test was that Dodge Viper in Laguna Seca in GT2...holy shit that was one helluva hard task for me personally
Wow, before even starting to watch the video, the first license test that came to my mind was the Camaro one from GT2 and surprise, surprise, it’s in this video almost stealing the #1 spot
This one needs an update to add S-10 from GT7.
Wow, i'm not alone about playing gran turismo until now.
I remember when i finished driving mission 34 on gran turismo 4, i was screaming internally so much because, like finally.
Me at 11:25 - this sound is very sexy yet haunts my soul?
Me at 12:04 - ... oh I remember.
"hardest license tests in GT history"
Proceeds to beat the gt4 one by over 20s....
I think it's more about the fact that it's driving a Group C car on Nordschleife, so it's easy to fail
Its crazy because when I was like 6-8 years old I used to got through the struggle of get bronze on the license and I bet kids nowadays will take weeks to get 1 license. now I'm 16 and I get gold on all of them :) I miss them days
Kids nowadays would take weeks? Sometimes that statement is bs
S-10 from GT7.
it's not that hard, i did 2.22.7 with the pad.
Sei italiano?
I can not wait for Gran Turismo 7 to come out. My best racing game ever. I would give a copy of what ever my subs play on at the time. wooooh cant wait man.
0:44 *Oh god, bad memories with this one but the hardest ones for me is the one in Mazda RX7 on Grand Valley on Gran Turismo 1 and also the one with the R33 Skyline in Trial Moutain on Gran Turismo 2 (or GT1 maybe cause it looks like the one in the video)😨*
GT4's one-lap race of Tsukuba is always on the top 10 for me. Though pretty much all of GT4's license tests are the hardest for me
That GT2 slalom gave me nightmares.
At first, it also seemed to me that the Slalom in GT2 was very difficult. But then I learned the subtlety of the track and got gold there
I still have flashbacks to the circular lap challenges in Gt3. The rain ones just killed me I swear....
GT2: IC4
GT2: IC9
GT2: IA-3
GT3: A-7
GT3: B-8
GT3: IA-6
GT4: A-13
A-7 in gt3 was a Genuine pain in the ass. It took me ages just for the Bronze price.
Truly the best racing series ever!!! I've Golded every single license... and remember going back to see if I could shave off a hundredth of a second somewhere... lol... perfection... 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Easiest ones are GT2 rally licenses.
Fax
In the Japanese versions they are harder. The physics are less grippy
@@apexgt4 Did not know that, thanks!
Yep. Gold is cakewalk on them
Oh man, I can't believe your number 1 is the same as mine. I frickin' hate those slalom tests. Well, I hate all the license tests, but those slalom ones bring out the rage in me.
I can’t remember the specific test but it had to use the viper on the Leguna Seca cork screw in GT 2.
IB-C
IB-3, S-8 (might be 7).
That C9 on the Nordschleife looks like so much fun.
we need monaco back in gran turismo imagine taking some of the new cars around there! would be awesome
However the hardest one for me by far was Gran Turismo 3 S-3 or S-2 I don't remeber,
but it was the one in Apricot Hill with the Opel Speedster.
It's S-1 👍.
Was truly expecting the wet circles from gt3 to be in here. Took me a week to get both back in the day. I believe they were IB 1 and 2
GT5 IB-1 is, in my opinion the hardest if you try to do it intended post-patch. The one with Bugatti at Ascari is awful too
That Bugatti in GT6 was a pain in the a$$, but once after I finished all other single player races I gave it another go for a gold and got a 2.11 for first attempt.
GT4 S-16 is a Sauber Mercedes on Japanese version?
You nailed it on S16 from GT4!
GT4 - IA 15 and slalom test 😅
Gran turismo various versions, WELL PLAYED, very cool!
And it's good to see first versions on top positions. Nostalgia on the slalom test.
Mission 34 says all.
GT4 / S-14 (Chamonix with Peugeot 205 T16 Rally Car)
Tell Timo Bernhard That 6 is difficult 😅😅
That god damn R-6 License test from GT3 was a pain in the ass.
I remember vividly that I got so frustrated by getting the drift turns right.
1:35 worst one for me , took me so much time
Same, i remember i never reached S just because of that mission
I thought it was easy because honestly I love this track, I would love to see it come back to Gran Turismo. That Bugatti is a boat though, and I definitely missed a few corners and got off track on my first tries
Oh shit. I just bought the game. It seems a whole hell awaits for me.
@@KillerPoi senna's tribute was the hardest for me
Imagine if Forza start to do licenses 😟
Braking/driving tests would be welcome for online lobbies, eh
Closest to it were the Drivatar training lessons in the original Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox - you had to complete them in order to be able to hire your drivatar to race for you in career, and your driving prowess was emulated by your drivatar, so if you sucked, it sucked...
Love that Camaro revvin' mid-apex.
For me the hardest test is the international a on gran turismo 3 with the pagani zonda. Men that shit has to be done perfect if you want to get the gold.
1:28 OMG I REMEMBER TRYING TO BEAT THAT FOR LIKE HOURS
There was one in GT PSP, in the bonus license tests After completing the first tests (A-H/I)
It was in Seattle, with a Plymouth Superbird.
No matter how hard I try, I cant take more than silver.
Same as me.but after the 5th try I manage to take silver .I have been Soo close at gold (0.003 seconds behind gold trophy)
I would agree with the s2000 slalom trial. I have the impression that I have never gotten gold...
I hate the slalom trial.i was happy with bronz result.😃
Absolutely I agree with you bro, the GT1 tests are like go hell xDDD
The very last driving school challenge in GT sport where you have to do one lap around the dragon trail with a Porsche GT3 took me 6 hours
You dont need to brake in 2 corners and you can cut 2 close to the tunnel
@@cristianarturosastrecervan9301 you don't need to brake for 3 corners actually
Thank you for this. Memories .
5:19.916 That's a phenomenal time, you're very good!!!
