@valaskig I'm now actually trying to beat not just the gold times but the demo times. The good thing about gt3 is that u can save ur fastest ghost and gradually improve
I finally did S-8 today @ 1:26.948 (PCSX2 + DualShock 3) and with that I got all licenses full gold on PAL :) though I still believe the hardest license is the camaro Z28 in seattle, with that horrible right turn..
S-6 was a nightmare for me. Took me 9 hours to gold it. lol. I've done A-7 (Camaro in Seattle) probably 8 times now and it's always a pain. Takes me 1-2 hours every time. So precise.
I like how S-7 is a direct callback to GT1 in this game. I never had a chance back when I played this to Gold anything. I had to accept the Bronzes, simply because I had been playing as a little boy trying to pass these. I had no hope passing them, much less even getting a Bronze time. I'm glad I'm realizing there's more to it than just passing, and began realizing it by the 4th game when I saw my first ever Gold.
The Dodge Viper Gold at L.S. was hard for me back in the day. My driving style was too conservative for the car and track. Once I started to slide the car around and junk the tyres I started to get better. It's a total bonsai lap.
Just finished the last Rally licence, and S licence about 1 hour ago, dear God S-8 was a walk in the park compared to S-3, I never suffered that much with a racing game before, S-8 took me 2 minutes to get gold while S-3 took 2½ days Who ever set that time was probably cheated on I cant believe it
Which one was the hardest for you to gold? I know a lot of people say S-8, but for me it was always S-6. That gold lap at Laguna Seca needs to be pretty on point.
I'll stick with the majority opinion and say S-8. It took the longest to record by far. S-3 would be my close 2nd simply because it's so slow and boring!
@valaskig couldn’t get anywhere close. However, I do need to boot up my PS4 and double check my times. I’m going off the top of my head at the moment lol. You have a PSN? Perhaps I can send you a clip.
I could never achieve S-8 even on bronze! It destroyed my dreams and to this date I still think of this test. Hey, I always wondered and now someone can finally answer me... To win the race of the formula 1's in endurance race, do I need a second Formula 1 awarded at professional league? I had a formula 1 awarded at an endurance race but it was waaaaaay underpowered to compete in that race.
That Viper challenge was insanely hard...i had to switch to manual, but it still took me like 50 tries or so to get gold on that. Rest of the challenges were also hard, but not nearly as hard as the Viper one.
S-8 is by far the easiest out of all of these. I beat it in the fourth attempt, all you have to do is not shift below 3rd gear. S-2 and S-3 are the worst imo. I spent two days on each.
Alright I just passed S-2 after 3 hours, it's indeed a torture, what's worse is that I got it within 0.01 secs after about an hour and then my finger was just too tired to go on.
So I tried to replicate the license test for Laguna Seca in GT Sport. I used both the 2002 Viper GTS and the current Viper Gr. 3 car to see if it was possible to get a sub 1’16.800. I am quickly learning that it is next to impossible to do so. I figured that the 2002 would come no where near close simple because it’s the road version but I still have it a shot and I could only manage a 1’27ish. I’m currently trying to get beat the 1’16.800 with Gr. 3 car but can only manage a 1’22.016 thus far. I am finding this to be a difficult task. It makes me wonder how they came up with the times they did back then.
The tracks are not a 1 to replica of the real world tracks. In GT they are much more narrow and sometimes way shorter. And different games the dame tracks can be different in physical appearance like land mass and scale of the road itself. Its why you cant achieve the same times as older games. Plus each game has different physics and car performance which would change the time trial results too.
So many memories. I struggled to get bronze here when I first played. There weren’t many places you could have gone faster to get Gold here. Having just Golded all S-license in GT7, GT3 looks much harder to do.
This view is much better than chase view, or whatever it's called. Seeing what car you're driving isn't as important as seeing the road and surroundings better. That would rock if you did the races with this viewpoint.
This is amazing to watch! You going to do a 100% Walkthrough of Gran Turismo 7?! Plus, all I want is for Special Stage Route 11 to come back, and an infield layout of Special Stage Route X!! 👍😊😇😇😇😇❤❤❤
These tests are so hard. I can barely finish domestic b with all gold. GT4 is difficult af at the beginning. Can't even imagine what the GT games on the PS3 are like.
It's a super license. It should be tough. I'll all gold these someday. I did get gold on S8 within a few tries, but that's only because I did so many laps around Monaco on the F1 games.
I do find Gran Turismo 4 to have easier S-license. But the ones in Suzuka, Twin Ring Motegi and Nurburgring were more on the insane level for getting gold. The rally tests were pure simple.
@@MrGranturismofan1 I hate that one on SSR11 with S7. Nurburghring was not problem for me. That track is long, so you can improve your time in more sections. I did it in 6:58,xxx
I am realizing just now that the test descriptions (among many other things) are way different between the NTSC and PAL versions. These seem way better to me. I assume they were translated from Japanese to English separately?
Somehow, S-8 wasnt Hard for me, I needed like 3 tries to get Gold, even using AT, probably because I was familiarized with the track after racing on it a few times in the carrer Now, S-3, to this day, I still didnt got Gold in it
